You and I both started our loc journey around the same time. You helped in my courage to self loc (although mine is not as organized as yours 😅 but I still love mine anyway). Mine are also not fully loc’d either. There are some in the front of my head that still have an inch of curly ends to them. I don’t mind it though. Thanks for sharing your hair journey… best wishes.

I know they make it seem like it's a normal thing but it's not. When our hair naturally sheds, it doesn't include the follicle. When I used to retie my micro locs, if I snagged my hair trying to pass through it would really hurt. Then the next day I would see those follicles in the same spot it snagged. Then it dawned on me that I was accidentally pulling the hair out when that would happen. I don't have that issue no more because I retwist them.

I’m in the same boat sis.

I had my hair dyed black partly due to those pesky follicles. Sometimes I’m self conscious that they look like dandruff but it is what it is-I have no plans to turn back. I love my locs too much 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Can you please tell how your hair got visibly lighter from your previous loc updates? I’m aware you used the color wax and then a colored conditioner but I’m wanting a lighter look as well and your previous hair color was similar to mine.

I would love to see you use the Revair hair dryer. I saw that it elongates your hair. I have tightly coiled hair and my locs shrink like crazy after a wash.

Hey! At first I was leaning towards the before look but after you showed the side part I must agree that the trim was much improved! I didn’t remember at first but I cut layers to my loc’s during my 2nd year, my hair had a nice round shape but I didn’t like the longer look smack in the middle of my back so just over a month ago I asked my hubby to help me trim it. It looks great even though I forgot to have him cut it at an angle. I’ve got a few loose ends that are just now coming back together. Your hair is so much longer and fuller than when you started out! Great job!! 😊 and thanks for the videos! They’re so helpful!
