@queeneleem8136 I actually love the small locs it just look so full in neat I noticed guys will get mad if another guy say he want thin locs or smaller locs not everybody want big locs
This came just in time! I did mine back in April 2020 after finding your channel. Now I’m preparing to do my daughters hair and definitely don’t want to do them as small as I did mine.
Wow! His Locs look great. Nice clear directions. My hair has been in microlocs over 2 years and I love the low maintenance. I paid a loctician to install and maintain my Locs. I really need to learn to maintain my own locs. I could save so much money.
Glad to see what a 300 - 450 loc style would be. Hair changes as we age . No more than 400 would be manageable to do on my own....Great Job!! I like math too!! ❤❤❤
You both did an awesome job on Carl’s brotherlocs, can you please add the link to the acv rinse, I’m looking for one that’s effective. Thanks so much 😊
Whewwwww y’all related! 😂 kinda funny towards the end when u finally see his face, it kinda looks like an AI boy version of u…but he’s real. 😂 cute video. Excited to see his journey.
@@QueenEleem great question I did think it was going to be a concern but it’s been a year and they have really filled out lol and my hair seems to be layered or in layers so I love it. But I don’t do my own reties either🤦🏾♀️ I just can’t lol
His texture is similar to mine, it seems (3c/4a). I have 328 locs and a lot of slippage. I wonder how his maintenance will be. I'm in the process of adjusting my schedule as well as what I do to maintain my microlocs. Leaving it alone, as people say, does not work for me because my roots LOVE each other and try to marry all the time, even from just working out (sweating).
@@QueenEleem I started with braidlocs and just interlocked the roots. Some of mine have completely unraveled after washing, especially my nape area and my edges. The top of my head is the loosest 3c hair and those roots try to marry every week!! I'll have only had them for 2 months now. *I am using a 4 point clockwise rotation, wanted to add that. I have done two reties (one full 4 point rotation each time) and I am probably going to have to go 3 weeks for now until my locs are actually loccd bc I never go tight to my scalp and my hair grows fast.
The middle line won’t show really after install. I always make grids where all the parts line up, like a sisterlocks/Brotherlocks grid, to give a person maximum styling options.
She is asking if you’re taking clients the same question I am asking I am not comfortable with everyone in my hair . Nobody care the integrity of people hair but yo are gentle . And doesn’t seem like it’s tight . Just right amount of pressure where your not concerned of breakage. Thank you hope you can answer us to 🙏🙏🙏
I finally got my microlocs. I wanted over 400...but the loctician insisted that sisterlocks and smaller microlocs "wouldnt work with my hair" so she installed 313 instead (I counted them because they never did). My hair is also 3b-4a, and I have a 4pt rotation. I'm only 2-wks in, and I have a lot of slippage and some gaps/holes in my locs already, she also left a LOT of hair out at the ends...like half the loc is loose hair in some of them. 🥲 Edited to add: last year (2022) I cut off 28in of hair (down to a tapered cut, bald faded on sides 3-4in on top), to start this journey, and started my install with 11-13in hair.
Dang I’m sorry. That’s something I would always talk to my clients about before hand. my new excel spreadsheet allows them to get exactly how many they want. AND we know exactly how many they will end up with. From what I’ve heard there are plenty of loctician that give every person more or less the same number of locs bc they don’t want to reti over 400 locs…
You literally have it down to a science. I love it!
🤓 since I’m a science and chemistry girl, I consider that a true compliment
@queeneleem8136 I actually love the small locs it just look so full in neat I noticed guys will get mad if another guy say he want thin locs or smaller locs not everybody want big locs
I already knew that you were going to be as meticulous as you were with your own install....awesome job as expected ❤
Thank you Jay Kay!!
"My little brother Carl"! We'll never forget his name or that you're older lol... So adorable. Hair came out great.
Ha! I was thinking the same thing. So sweet ❤
Ive been looking desperately for a guy with microlocs, I’m starting mine this week and cant wait.
I’ll try to shoot an update with him Memorial Day weekend
Wonderful video, as always. It's great to see a grid suitable for a fewer amount of locs💜
Glad you enjoyed!
You both did an amazing job! His locs look great!
The Ann you for the compliment!

Your little bro's hair came out great.
I would like to see an update on Carl's hair after a couple of months. You did a great job explaining the grid.
Omg… they look beautiful on you, I remember when you first started installing your locs.
Thanks so much for sharing Queen and Karl, his locs look amazing.
They look even better now 1.5ish years out!
@@QueenEleem Can't wait to see the update. 🥰
okay i’m back and i want an update on bros locs ❤😂
Your locs look fantastic BTW!
Subbing! I wanna see these updates 😂. I wanted Brother Locs, but went the traditional route
My DIY grid is very much like Carl’s, and we have the same hair type, but mine is less dense. Thanks so much for sharing.
Which starter method did you use? How do you feel your locs turned out?

The recipe is in the blog section of my website Queeneleem.com

havent seen you for ages
I have a question for the middle part what could we do to tweak it to not have that middle back line look ?
The middle line won’t show really after install. I always make grids where all the parts line up, like a sisterlocks/Brotherlocks grid, to give a person maximum styling options.
Nice job.
Wow, he looks just like your mom.
Ok Lil bro 👌🏾 nice.
Niiiice
Author! Is your locs started by the interlocking method?
Yes
Please do like your sister... Don't style so much. Just leave it alone and TRUST THE PROCESS ❤️❤️❤️
his curls are pretty. i hope they dont thicken out to the point of looking dull and straight
Queen please how can I book with you ?

Sorry I don’t understand?
@@QueenEleem I just mean, me, as a subscriber would pay you to do my hair like this!

@@QueenEleem I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I don't even think they used a predetermined grid, just a party as you go technique. But idk
