    Hi, do you actively use any chemistry in your day to day PA job/schedule.
    I ask because Chemistry is absolutely kicking my butt, and if its absolutely necessary, then I'm going have to pick another career path

    • @QueenEleem
      @QueenEleem  9 місяців тому

      I don’t actively use chemistry per say BUT PA school is taking 8 courses a semester and they’re ALL HARD like chemistry level hard. And you need to be able to memorize medicinal drug classes, properties, and contraindications to not harm a patient. Mind you there are some specialties where there’s less of a risk of that but in order to be able to pick a specialty you have to be able to get through PA school. So no, You won’t be doing strict chemistry like mixing chemicals together and looking for a reaction or caring about electron shells but the studying method you need for a class like that will come in handy in PA school. I hope that helps.

    Hi, thanks for sharing. Do you have a video where you talk about managing your course load and hair?
    I'm in med school and thought I wanted traditional locs, but I think I've been bit by the micro-loc bug. But I'm concerned that I might not have time for self reties during my preclinicals or during my clinical rotations and residency once I get there. What have your experiences been?

      @QueenEleem  2 роки тому +3

      I don’t! I’ll add it to my list of ideas! For now I’ll say that having Microlocs has made school much easier. I feel like I have MORE time to study instead of less. ESP since I do my hair while doing practice questions or while I relax watching tv at the end of the night. My hair is overall better kempt and I spend basically no time doing my hair on a daily basis. Just over a period of a week every 5-8 weeks

    First of all, you look amazing! This sun is giving!! Your skin is glowing!!
    Second of all, I can tell you're going to be a real blessing to your field. Your passion and joy when you talk a out your experiences so far is amazing to watch. I'm not interested in entering PA school or any form of medicine, and I happily watched this entire video. Your passion and excitement kept my attention the whole time and I will gladly watch your future updates on your progress through school. It was very interesting and I pray you continue to do well and keep the same joy and love for your work.
    Blessings and love~👏💕

    Pro tip: Add a tiny amount of organic bee's wax to weak or all locs for life long strength and beautiful shine

    I just enjoy hearing about your progress and knowing that all is well with you. I'm a yoga teacher in the process of figuring out how to proceed with teaching in the COVID world. So I won't be applying for PA school ;) I DO have a question for you though. What attracted you to that profession? What you're doing really agrees with you. You look so happy and healthy. Have really enjoyed your hair videos as well. Always great viewing your offerings. 🏥💉💊👩🏾‍⚕🩺💖

    Congrats!! Do you know how different PA school is from med school? I hear they’re actually pretty similar but have yet to look into it more :)

      PA school is only 2-2.5 years long post bachelors and we are trained similar to how doctors going into world war 2 were trained. We use the medical model like med school and are able to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe medication. He only things we don’t do is run surgeries by ourselves and anesthesiology (that’s different training) from what I understand. A lot of us work in primary care and urgent care but we can also specialize.
