HI, i am one month behind you and my hair looks complete different as a 3B. You where my inspiration to get locked. But I did it,,,, wel in fact my husband did it. He likes long hair and I made him a deal. I said you retie my hair. He made the parts and I locked my hair. This intimacy brought us closer after 25 years of marriage. We laugh and made jokes as I sit in his lap. Hi from Europe and stay save everybody .
Same with me! Locs are healthy and shiny without using any oils. Your locs look great! Also, the back locs faster than the front because it’s gets more friction than the front.
Your hair looks great as always! I'm five months in and you've been such a great resource! Retightening with water has been a game changer for me because I get so many flyaways, thank you! Also you remind me so much of one of my favourite childhood characters: Ginger Foutley from As Told By Ginger 🥰
Your locks are looking great! I am researching starting some locs myself. Your way is definitely the way I want to go. My hair is 4C as well but I put a texturizer in a few months ago. Looking forward to more video updates of your loc journey.
I've been watching your videos from the beginning and I've been on the fence about locking my hair and I must say watching your videos I think I'm going to have interlocks done. Thank you thank you thank you I can't thank you enough for your videos ❤️
I am a month behind you (sisterlocks) and started with much shorter hair than yours. I am loving all your updates. Maybe one day I will be brave enough to do my own retightening. My biggest issue right now is slippage in the back. No matter what I do, my back locs have to be reinstalled the next time I get my retigh and it’s frustrating
Lookin good! ❤️ Been here since the beginning although I’m a month ahead of you with comb coil, (infrequently) palm rolled traditionals. Loving the updates. You definitely have really good length retention though with this size and interlocking method, shrinkage be damned lol - my hair was about the same starting length loose as yours and my babies are barely touching the shoulders 🤣🤣 and that’s with new growth
Im soooo stoked! I’m starting my hair on 6/24. I have done so much research on interlocking and your videos are some of the best I have seen! BTW you hair is DOPE! ❤️
It's looking great! I'm at 4 months too. My hair is much, much shorter. The back is locking, but the front is taking it's time. I used water also, the last time I interlocked and I noticed a huge difference with the short hairs too.
I got the frizziness and the flakes. I have a lov catastrophe last week where my scalp flake with large plaques it was terrible enough for me to reconsider my locs. I moved through it. I have very b itchy, dry and irritated scalp. My dreads look amazing though.
Gorgeous hair! I love the length you started with that’s my hair goal! You won’t be able to tell me anything lol 😂 I got established 8/9/19 and finally uploaded my first microloc hair video .. a year later 🙄lol !!
Unfortunately it was a year or more! But you definitely have way less shrinkage than I did so it may be a matter of months for you. Your locs look amazing, I am enjoying watching your journey.
I'm 2months in and have noticed just how fast my hair grows. I dont think I'll be able to go 6weeks maybe 5 if I'm lazy. I've also noticed budding which I'm really excited about
You're the same length and fullness as my daughter. I think it's too early to see frizz. My daughter is 4c and I only just started seeing a bit of frizz at her 6 month mark. Every head is different though. I think you're right on point with using water for reties. Per the retie intervals - I've been stretching them starting from 4, to 6, to 8, and now the last one was 10 weeks. I don't think we'll ever go above that, but we'll see. I combined a bunch of locks on her hairline, especially in the front, because they were way too tiny and I saw somewhere that it's better to have them somewhat larger in front to make them less likely to break off. I can't remember where, but it was someone who's had Sisterlocks for a long while, so I paid attention. TFS.
a Hi from Paris gorgeous sister What made you choose the technique to lock your hair? Interlocking vs twisting. What are the differences? You look fabulous! 😍
Hello from NYC! 😊 in my first video (part 1 of my install series) I quickly compare and contrast interlocks vs braid locs vs twist locs. But short and simple: interlocks swell less than twist locs and have less slippage BUT they take much longer to install especially when doing them yourself
I have noticed that your micro locs do not have that scalpy look where a lot of your scalp is exposed. Is that due to your hair being thicker or does it depend on your grid pattern? Thanks for your help
Loc build up which can lead to tension, and slippage. But there are microloc specific moisturizers out there that you can use. I’ll probably try one out soon as a way to replenish the moisture after going to the beach and such
Your locs look amazing! Now I’m contemplating starting over! I started with braidlocs but I noticed the locs that I split and interlocked don’t have the chunky ends that irritate me. Anyway I love your videos!
Is your hair budding at all? I am trying to use your method and I noticed you said the front is going to look pencil sized, but it still looks like sister locks so far. I want the pencil look too (: thank you so much for making your channel. You have no idea how excited I am for locs!!

Soooo romantic 🥰
Wow that’s really sweet of him! I love it!
Oh my! That is so sweet. This comment warmed my heart.
That is so great. Enjoy 😉
As someone who is just about to start their locking journey, watching your videos has been so insightful. And your hair looks fab as usual.
Your hair looks amazing! I can't wait for you to hit a year 😩😩😩 Thank you for sharing your journey! ❤
Your hair is looking great. I laughed when you talked about that number. I think I would find two to combine not to have that number lol.
Yep my superstitious Christian upbringing comes out when that number comes up... lol
I guess it's kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new movies online?
@Koa Jerome I would suggest flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
Your hair just keeps getting better and better. Love it.
Your hair is looking FAB, I love the volume 😍 And I wish the itching wasn't happening you're so lucky
Oh no you’re experiencing the itch? Around what month did you start feeling it?
Same. I had crazy itching at the beginning of month two. I'm almost at month 3 and it's stopped, thank goodness.
Same with me! Locs are healthy and shiny without using any oils. Your locs look great! Also, the back locs faster than the front because it’s gets more friction than the front.

I used to love As told by ginger! So thank you so much. That’s such a touching compliment 😭

Your hair is absolutely beautiful, you are doing the right thing, that's why your hair is perfect..
I've been watching your videos from the beginning and I've been on the fence about locking my hair and I must say watching your videos I think I'm going to have interlocks done. Thank you thank you thank you I can't thank you enough for your videos ❤️
Thank you for reaching out! It warms my heart to hear that I helped someone find the style 🙏
That’s so weird! The back of my head was finer when I was a loose natural, but those locs are maturing faster than the ones in the front.
I didn't get itchiness at all and I'm 11 months in. My frizziness started after the 6 month mark but everyones hair doesn't get frizzy.
thanks for sharing your journey

your hair is soooo soooo sooooo soooo awesome!
How frequently do you wash your locs? Also, what is your night time protective style/routine for your locs? Thanks!

I love locks and I am loving your videos
Yay! Update!
I got the frizziness and the flakes. I have a lov catastrophe last week where my scalp flake with large plaques it was terrible enough for me to reconsider my locs. I moved through it. I have very b itchy, dry and irritated scalp. My dreads look amazing though.
Your hair looks great. I would love my hair like this but it seems like so much time.
Gorgeous hair! I love the length you started with that’s my hair goal! You won’t be able to tell me anything lol 😂 I got established 8/9/19 and finally uploaded my first microloc hair video .. a year later 🙄lol !!
Your hair looks Beautiful❤❤!!!
I had serious shrinkage in the beginning but it does go away.
How many months until the shrinkage wasn’t noticeable?
Unfortunately it was a year or more! But you definitely have way less shrinkage than I did so it may be a matter of months for you. Your locs look amazing, I am enjoying watching your journey.
I can't wait to try this style. Thank you.

Hair looks great!

No, I don't see fuzziness. It looks great.
Thank you

Probably the overall thickness of my hair
Hi! Not sure if I missed this but how many locs do you have?
668

Excellent video.
Where can I get the shampoo you use in your hair to Purchase?
All my product info is in the desc box! Best!
Have you had issues with lint?
Nope
Is there a disadvantage to using moisturizer?
Loc build up which can lead to tension, and slippage. But there are microloc specific moisturizers out there that you can use. I’ll probably try one out soon as a way to replenish the moisture after going to the beach and such
