This channel is about classical piano music and improvisation.
Music lies at the heart of this, more than complex video editing sound comes at the first place.
I’ll upload repertoire pieces when I feel I master them completely, so I can’t promise that this will be weekly. Sometimes I’ll post small compositions by composers like Schumann, Rachmaninov, Bach and many others, but regularly you’ll also find complete sonatas and other large scale works.
I adore improvising classical music at the piano. These improvisations can be on new themes but also on national anthems, famous pop songs or existing classical repertoire. I’d also love to get input from you on what themes to improvise.
Because improvising feels so naturally to me you may expect weekly improvisations on this channel.
The main goal is to share with you my love for the piano. I hope you’ll enjoy it!

I discovered this intermezzo when I was 10 years old. It was a track on a CD that you got for free when you bought 2 packs of coffee. It fascinated me because I was unable to play it by ear. Its structure and voicings were so different. An almost pragmatic approach of composing yet loaded with emotion. I always felt love sadness and loneliness in this piece.

Zoveel gevoel wat jij hierin legt. Ik word er diep door beroerd en kan heerlijk wegdromen bij deze prachtige klanken. Bedank Michiel….❤
Wat een techniek Michiel….subliem. En dan te bedenken dat je beide handen had gebroken en jij radeloos was. Maar zie…..het is meer dan goed gekomen…..een wonder? Nee……een Godsgeschenk…..!
Hoi Jos, bedankt voor alle lof en mooie woorden! Ik had niet beide handen gebroken, rechter hand wel, maar heel veel problemen gehad (helaas nog steeds) met beide handen. Toch plan ik live concerten! Dat maakt het nog een extra uitdaging.

Ja een groot componist zoals hij verdient wel een ode Michiel….mooi hoor….bedankt. Eigenlijk verdien jij ook al een ode wat mij betreft….je bent een heel bijzonder groot talent.
