Hey thanks for the question! The intent was to never use the gate CV outputs to be used as variable voltage, however I'll have to check if those pins support PWM so it might be possible. I would say using the gate outs as CV switches is definitely doable but would require some firmware adjustments. I'm in the middle of a project right now, but I will explore this a bit once I am done. Which MidiVolts desktop version do you have?

I do however have a few questions , hope im not being annoying lol! Does 4 voices only work on drone mode and with the Keyboard local off? How much sounds can i actually get on 4 voices, since i see many of the routing possibilities are taken by the midivolt. best regards. *Edit I just saw its possible to play chords without being in drone mode... sorry for that lol

Hey! double check your power supply first of all make sure you have a 9v DC supply. 9v AC will create very weird results. Hmm, maybe check your mixer section. The GM mixer section drives really easily. Maybe try to turn these down a bit? If you are still having issues, shoot me an email and we can keep troubleshooting. Spacebraincircuits@gmail.com

That is going from the Keystep Gate Out jack. Unfortunately, the B2600 only triggers above 8v I believe. I had my keystep set up to output a 10v gate. Hope this helps! If you want to use the Midivolts gate out you need to first process the 5V and amplify it to ~10V. This is possible with just using the CV processing on the B2600. I have a photo if needed.

Hey! Yes, the device is compatible, except the subharmonicon only has 1 oscillator, so you wont be able to create chords. However, you could use the sub harmonicon with a mother32 (For instance) and create chords by creating a somewhat hybrid polysynth. Hope this makes sense! thanks!

@@spacebraincircuits1358yes! I believe the subharmonicon has two oscillators in it. If so would it just be more of a duophonic sound?

@@trevorkajca2007 oh wow I just checked the user manual and you are correct! The sub does have 2 oscillators and more importantly has two separate pitch CV inputs. So yes, you could generate a duophonic sound using this! Thanks for the correction!

Hey! Thanks for the question! No, the device does not work in this way. Instead of transposing when pressing a key, the unit will either overwrite the current played step so that it is repeated or temporarily override the current step. Hope this makes sense!!!

Hey! I am not too familiar with the Sub37 CV. From what I can tell, you can only assign outputs? I could be wrong. But if this is the case, the reason Midivolts can create poly/ para playing is because each oscillator on the Grandmother has a dedicated Pitch CV input. If its possible to assign a pitch CV input for each OSC on the 37 CV, then this would be possible but as of now, I do not think this is the case. Thanks for the question and hope this helps!

Hey! Thanks for the question. The MidiVolts works with any 1v/Oct synth. However, if you are looking to make the voyager xl poly, this is not possible due to there only being 1 pitch CV input. Sorry about that! However, it is possible to use the voyager with the MidiVolts if you have multiple 1v/Oct synths. You can hook up multiple synths to create a hybrid polysynth if that makes sense. No sorry, I dont believe the Moog grandmother can handle poly sequences if thats what you are wondering. If you want to poly sequence, you will need to use an external sequencer such as Keystep or similar.

Yes definitely! The desktop and modular are essentially the same, just a different form factor. Feel free to use with euro modules!

Hey! Unfortunately, since the sub37 doesn't have multiple pitch CV inputs, it's not possible to use the device to create polyphony with just the sub37. However, you can create hybrid polysynths by combing multiple monosynths(such as sub37) with other monosynths. Hope this helps! Thanks!
