My Grandmother is coming on the UPS truck tomorrow, and my MidiVolts Desktop is coming on the 19th. I'm looking forward to this. My New Years Resolution is to make an album in 2023. This will be useful for that.
Hello, I am intersting, I would like to know if it would works with a M-audio 88es (keybord with a midi output), with my Mother32 (1 VCO) & my Subharmonicon (the 2 main VCO) so 3 voices (maybe a fourth with a dfam after..) thank you
Yes definitely! This was actually my main intent for the device! The ability to mix multiple monosynths and create poly beasts :) I use mine quite a bit with my werkstatt and other moogs! Just make sure all devices take 1v/oct! Thanks!
Absolutely gorgeous. ^^ When you release a key, are the oscillators following the pitch out of v0, or do they keep their last played pitch? Would it be possible to have both behaviors as an option through a firmware update?
Hey Nick, really appreciate the kind words! When a key is released, it retains the last played pitch. However, all CV outputs that are not being used will be reassigned the next key press. This is basically how polyphony is being simulated. I currently do not have firmware to bounce all pitches back to V0 once released. However, I believe the sub25 operates this way maybe? Definitely something to explore in the future. If you are interested, shoot me a message first if you are considering purchasing a unit and we can discuss a bit more!
Hey thanks for the question! I've briefly looked through some of those patches and many of them rely on the modulation section. When using the MidiVolts in poly3 mode, the grandmothers 3rd oscillator is used as an audio oscillator as opposed to an LFO for instance. So many of those patches are most likely not possible when just using the grandmother with midivolts. With that being said, you could always switch back and forth when using the MidiVolts. Many of my customers still use the grandmother as a mono instrument as well as poly. Hope this helps!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 thank you I’m wondering about the shipping + customs fees. Do you have any information from any Spanish customer? I heard that the cost is high unless you ship the item as a gift
@@olivervalverde9106 @Oliver Valverde Yes, anytime shipping internationally, especially to EU, there is usually some customs fee. You should be able to check your country customs info on this.
Technology aside, that was a really nicely put together performance
I feel less like a musician the more I get into design so this means a lot to me. Take care!

Very very cool! Are you playing 2 or 3 oscillators at once?
In this demo I am using all 3 oscillators. Thanks for watching!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 very cool! I m tempted to trade my subsequent 37 for the grandmother, with your device even more. Cool invention man!

can I use ableton to send chords to the grandmother with this device?
Yes definitely!
Hello i'm from France and I would like to have one, is there a way to buy it? (the etsy link doesn't work)
Unfortunately, France has changed their policies on order over 150 euros. Shoot me a message on Etsy and we can work on a solution!
Sry synth noob here! - will your device limit the ability to utilize patch books like Lisa Bella Donna?
