One thing I've been meaning to ask about for the Desktop - a way to configure it for four CC to CVs. I use the converter in my Neutron for the notes so the first channel in the Desktop is doing nothing. There are other functions in my Roland AE-30 wind synth that I could send as CC.
The first channel of the CC mode is set for pitch. So basically just a mono pitch assignment here. As of now, there's no way to adjust for this but thanks for the advice!
Have one on order, not sure how long it'll take to ship to the UK, but I'm relying on some crazy MIDI-to-CV bodges in the meantime. I really really want the feature mentioned at the start here, where you say that each voice can be on a different channel - so I can presumably run it to four mono instruments, each on a separate Ableton track - that is exactly my intended use case.

Hi, I'm back with another question. Could it be possible for you to add a feature in CC to CV mode to have an option to have the channel V1, V2, V3 gate outs be extra CC to CV outs? If the hardware can't do continuous CV from those outputs (which would be the ideal), could it do switches? i.e. high value for on and low value for off. At the moment I combine a Neutron and Midivolts Desktop to do the conversion but I'm looking to create a small integrated rack for live work and if I could have that capability in a module (pitch with pitch bend to CV and 4 or more channels of CC to CV), that would be brilliant.
Hey thanks for the question! The intent was to never use the gate CV outputs to be used as variable voltage, however I'll have to check if those pins support PWM so it might be possible. I would say using the gate outs as CV switches is definitely doable but would require some firmware adjustments. I'm in the middle of a project right now, but I will explore this a bit once I am done. Which MidiVolts desktop version do you have?

I have the desktop its great...could i use the desktop to use modular with midi from grandmother any advice would be welcome👍
Yes definitely! The desktop and modular are essentially the same, just a different form factor. Feel free to use with euro modules!
