@@spacebraincircuits1358 Im in the exact same boat right now haha, do you think you'll have some more coming?
Thanks!
@@chrisstander9576 Back in stock now!
Are those 1/8 or 1/4 outs?
How would you get it to work with a 1/4 CV?
Hey reso! They are 1/8 (3.5mm) jacks. You can just use a simple 1/8 to 1/4 inch converter! They are really affordable
is it possible to send midi notes with midi and still play polyphonic?
Sure, you should be able to send any combination of midi and this device will convert it to Polyphonic if I am understanding correctly
Im thinking abaout buying that thing but i dont know the price because its sold out. Can you tell me the price here?
Hi there, its will be back in stock later this week, price is 169 USD. Thanks!
Do you need this device to pull off this effect if you already have a GM & a matriarch?
If you have both, you can essentially tie both synthesizers using the same CV controller. Not sure this would make much sense though, especially sinc the matrarch already has 4 voices.
@@spacebraincircuits1358 ok thank you for the reply.. i was just wanting to do something different, like what you did with the gm. u know a lot more about synthesis than i do!
is the Drone Mode the only way to play it? why you used it instead of a long decay?
No you can also use Kbd and Env. I just used drone because its the simplest to demo. If you want to use Env, for instance, you would need to connect Gate Out of MidiVolts to Trigger In on GM. Or just connect straight to the VCA if you want. Possibilities are endless! thanks again!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 thanks for the answers :)
@@spacebraincircuits1358 are you shipping to Italy?
@@lotec78 yes I ship internationally!
How does one calibrate this? As soon as I go from in tune in unison and I flip to poly and I'm out of tune already
Hi there! All units are calibrated before they leave so your CV response should be very good. Have you seen the MidiVolts beginners guide on this channel? Definitely check this out if you are having some trouble with tuning. I always recommend starting with UNISON then DUO mode first since this is easiest. Tuning the LFO for POLY3 can be a bit tricky at first. I assume you are using the device with a Moog Grandmother. Let me know! Thanks!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 yes using a grandmother and yes watched all your vids, doing everything as you do. I got this in a trade so it isn't a brand new one and therefor I assume it may need calibration! Lovely idea and perhaps I should just buy a new one from you directly!
@@24framemedia I think we should be able to get this worked out. Shoot me an email and let's work through this. spacebraincircuits@gmail.com I'm confident we can get it to work!
It's super helpful if I see a video of your issue and I can recommend if the device needs to be recalibrated or not. Looking forward to your email!
Awesome! Would that works with the mother32 and the DFAM as well?
Yes definitely!!! And pretty much any synth that uses 1v/oct!
What about a vintage Moog, like the Prodigy? That would blow my mind.
I need one of these. Got Grandmother but no space for a Matriarch, this would be perfect.
Sold out today but more in stock in a couple days! Thanks!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 I will check back
Same here bro hahahah
@@Giannosism sorry sold out again. We will have more early next week. They typically sell out within a day or two
How would this work with a Mother 32? What would be the capabilities? Very interested to know. Thanks for such great content!
Thanks for the kind words! Basically, you could combine the mother32 with another monosynths and achieve poly playing, since the mother32 has 1 oscillator. Combining the grandmother and a mother32 would allow for 4 note chords since you have a total of 4 oscillators (x3 GM and x1 M32)
@@spacebraincircuits1358 sweet thanks for the quick response!
Awesome! Will this work with the Behringer Model D?
Thanks for the question! I believe the Model D has only 1 pitch in CV so not possible to make polyphonic. However, you could use the MidiVolts to connect up two or more monosynths to create chords. :)
Hey! Are these back in stock?!
Yes sir! (5/13) we will have more this weekend
hey mine came today, think i need to calibrate it cause its not tracking the keys consistently, how do i do this? thanks
Hey Duncan, I have calibration procedures that I will send out to you. However, every device is callibrated before shipment. Curious, what gear are you using it on and in what mode? thanks!
can you message me on etsy? Not sure of your etsy username
what i mean is the octave isn't an octave, it seems to be that an octave is C - F# so octave and a half, is this something to do with calibration?
@@duncanjones7310 Are you using this on the Grandmother and are you using the Grandmother keyboard? If so, you will first need to turn off LOCAL mode. The Pitch In jacks are summed so this is why the frequency scaling is doubling... Let me know if this solves your issue!
hey i think i solved it, i was using a battery instead of a 9v charger and the depleting battery was gradually changing the pitch, it's all good gonna test with a 9v positive centre charger instead, most likely that'll be it,
It looks like you’re sold out. When will it be available again?
Hey John, We are building more today so give us a few days. Shoot me a message on etsy and I can let you know once the shop is restocked. Thanks a bunch for your interest!
Would this work with the subharmonicon?
Hey! Yes, the device is compatible, except the subharmonicon only has 1 oscillator, so you wont be able to create chords. However, you could use the sub harmonicon with a mother32 (For instance) and create chords by creating a somewhat hybrid polysynth. Hope this makes sense! thanks!
@@spacebraincircuits1358yes! I believe the subharmonicon has two oscillators in it. If so would it just be more of a duophonic sound?
@@trevorkajca2007 oh wow I just checked the user manual and you are correct! The sub does have 2 oscillators and more importantly has two separate pitch CV inputs. So yes, you could generate a duophonic sound using this! Thanks for the correction!
Nice! Where did you get the mini midi cable , if you remember?
I'm pretty sure I found it on ebay but it was so long ago. I'm sure you could find one on Amazon as well. Think it was 12 inch midi cable. Good luck!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 thanks a lot!
This is lot to soak in my brain. Can I use this minivolt for a minimoog d? Thank you
where can I buy this beauty???
Hey! They are back in stock today at 9am CST. (4/21)
Will this work with my ms20?
So sorry but the ms20 is not volt per octave but hz per octave so the midivolts is not compatible!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 it's 1,5 volts Indeed. Thnx for the answer
Is there a CV to MIDI device?
I believe they are out there somewhere. Not sure exactly
Where can I buy it?
Hey thanks for the interest! You can purchase one my Etsy account if you would like.
spacebraincircuits.etsy.com
could you project for Korg MS? it was a dream for many years I’ve got 2 ms20 and 2 Ms10 4 voices poly a big dream
Hey thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, I believe Korg operates on V/Hz instead of V/oct which the MidiVolts doesnt support. Double check me on this but wanted to be transparent!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 yes you right !! does it not possible to make it for Korg and yamaha V/HZ ?
@@jpp282 With the current circuitry, its only possible to get 1 or 2 octaves. So sorry about this. But thank you for letting me know you are interested and I will consider this for the future!
@@spacebraincircuits1358 yes of course really interested !! let me know

@@spacebraincircuits1358 ok thanks
Are you making my microbrute polyphonic? That’s what you’re saying dude?
Unfortunately, the microbrute is a single oscillator synthesizer so not possible. I use my microbrute as a Midi controller most of the time! Thanks for the question!
Although if you had another oscillator to use, ie Eurorack etc. you could absolutely add an oscillator! V0 -> Pitch In of Microbrute, V1 - Eurorack Oscillator. A lot of possibilites out there!
Yeah, I have been looking into adding eurorack modules lately. Cool dude, best to you this year!
