Hi, yes you can do it. It is important to rinse everything thoroughly afterwards. In the newer DeLonghi machines, descaling is now also done via the infuser.

Hi, I haven't tried Urnex Cafiza 2 yet, but I think it's the same product with a slightly modified version. The food-grade lubricant is used for the gears that do not come into contact with the coffee. Silicone grease are used for the o-rings and seals.

Why a new infuser? The thing lasts an eternity and with proper care it practically never breaks 🤔

You need to interrupt the coffee preparation after the coffee has been ground. To interrupt the preparation, press the button again.

@yt.myworks will do that. My machine turns also 3 sec of grinding. I read about software bug and found 2 firmware dumps to try. Before thete was no coffee only pump sound . And after full cleaning of takeing everything apart it gives me now coffee but more tea like. And no pressed coockies in the trash can only wet loosy coffee.

You first have to make sure that the brewing group can be easily moved by hand. After that, prepare more than five coffees without coffee beans (ignore the error message). After that, the machine should grind longer, about 6-7 sec.

@@yt.myworks it still did 3 seconds after that. Then i tryed the 2 new firmwares both did 7 seconds but gived an error after milling, and no coffee. With dry coffee in the trash can. Then i reflashed with orginal dump file it still mils 3 sec and tea looking coffee. I think i need another dump file . My machine is a delonghi magnifica s (ecam 20.110.B) hope some one can send me a dump file

​@@yt.myworks Thanks for the reply! I followed that video when I rebuilt the brew group. Which piece is the infuser piston? I'll pay extra attention to that piece. When I turn on the machine and it runs the rinse program I can see that the little spigot on the very bottom of the brew group is not lined up with any openings so the water is just shooting up into nothing and then of course loses all pressure so the machine asks to "open switch" it fills (again with water just shooting up into nothing and back into the drip tray), and the cycle continues

After greasing, you shouldn't drink the first two or three coffees. After that, the coffee will taste as it should.

Does the water pump not turn on at all?

Thanks for getting back to me - Machine makes coffee - So water pump works. when "Rinsing" water drains to tray and does not come thru the spouts as it should.

Hi, the long screw has to be screwed in until the large transparent sleeve no longer moves. You should make sure that the screw turns into the old thread. If this is not the case, then the screw should still be screwed in until the end.

This depends on both the amount of ground coffee and the grind size, meaning how coarse or fine the coffee is ground. Try using a slightly coarser setting.

Btw the Stainless Steel Filter, I cleaned it with a steam cleaner...wow. Yeah happy I did that.

Hi, before you replace any other parts, try to completely disassemble and clean the milk carafe. Make sure that all the screws in the cover are removed, then you can disassemble everything and clean it thoroughly. For this I recommend a milk cleaner like this one, it's cheap and available in any drugstore: amzn.to/4gRqDC6

@ Honestly I did it a few time ,took the screew out and give a proper cleaning(i dont think the carafe will be faulty) Have replaced since I asked the question,the top solenoid valve ,and I have realised it does have one more under the front cover… Any other clues what might be the issue? The steam is coming strong when trying to froth the milk but is not sucking any milk from container.

The milk foam is created in the milk container, not inside the machine itself. It is important that the steam pressure is strong enough to draw the milk. Additionally, the water pump must be functioning properly to generate sufficient pressure. I also recommend trying a different carafe, as it may happen that these no longer work properly after a certain time.

@ possible the water pump to work fine for coffee or anything else but not for the milk frothing? Manufacture year on the pump is 2011 ,so might be too week?

​@@yt.myworks thank you for your answer! Could you maybe let me know what the name of the item is (white, the one below the ceramic valve)? The thing is the ceramic valve seems to be fine, no leaking, it does pump good, sound is good and seems pretty good. The machine itself is only 1 year old too. However the water goes to the white thing at the bottom, and then straight up goes to the trow away bucket. And I kind of seem unsure if it is ceramic valve, i think it probably will be it, but i also kind of thing about the white thing at the bottom, especially because i dont know its name and what it does. Thank you so much!

The white expansion chamber can't break at all. It is just a piece of plastic and is not sealed. Check the hose that is connected to the chamber, it must not be kinked, otherwise the water may not be drained properly.

Sometimes the steel spring in the locking mechanism on the right side can slip out of place, making it impossible to close the door. To fix this, you need to remove the two screws on the back and pull the cover backward. Then, you can reposition the steel spring correctly.

Hello, this usually happens when the machine hasn’t been descaled regularly. In most cases, the Teflon tube leading from the heater to the infuser gets clogged with limescale deposits. However, be careful: the tubes are under pressure with hot steam, so always let the machine cool down before disconnecting any tubes!

Hi, on most grinders you can see a blue or red mark made by the manufacturer. This was the original setting for the correct grinding level. You can use these marks as the starting position and then adjust them according to your preferences.

Hi, the device switches itself off to protect the sensitive electronics. There may be something wrong with the brew motor or the ceramic valve. In my case, the ceramic valve was broken. After replacing the valve, everything worked perfectly again.

@@yt.myworksthe valve was not broken so I think the brewunit motor is failing or the switches but the hole machine must be splitted 😮 before you can take out the Brewunit motor

Wtedy maszyna powinna przestawić na dłuższy czas mielenia samoczynnie. Jeżeli chodzi o wodę pod zbiornikiem na fusy to musisz najpierw zlokalizować wyciek, wtedy mogę udzielić dalszych wskazówek. The water should not drip more than a teaspoon into the coffee grounds container during the rinsing process. Otherwise, the upper infuser could already be leaking and either needs to be repaired or replaced. You can find videos on this topic on my channel.

I recommend cleaning the original hose with a small brush and reusing it. Since water doesn’t remain in the outlet hose permanently, there’s no risk of mold. The original hose is flexible and heat-resistant. Other hoses may kink and block the coffee outlet.
