    02:47 - The brass coloured 'flange' (?) is not involved in making any sort of seal - this is done entirely by the orange o-ring - sealing between the connection body and the clear plastic pipe. The 'flange' is crimped onto the plastic pipe and functions solely to keep the clear plastic pipe retained in the junction housing. Personally I would not use such an aggressive cleaning system as 400 grade sandpaper. Some wire wool or small rotary wire brush would be much less damaging to the body of the connection. Using any sort of sandpaper may even make the new o-ring fail to seal properly. Applying some de-scaling solution (or just white vinegar) to the limescale deposits will make most of the 'scratchy' cleaning unnecessary, anyway.

    They're often corroded and the hoses don't come out anymore. Then the connector and hoses have to be changed. But there's also a kit to swap the whole heater to the newer version without the brass connections. Actually only works out about 12€ more than just buying the new metal connector and it comes with heater, hoses, connectors and seals.

    Hi there, Great Video.. I have a question... Would you know how to open the side on the Jura S8. mine is leaking water from the right-hand side. I can not find a service center in my area for Jura. I was hoping to have a go at it myself, but when I took all the screws but having a hard time taking the front off and i do not want to force it and bit scared I might break something. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Thank you for the video. Looks like I might have a similar issue on my X8. Have you done any work on opening an X8 to identify a leak? From your videos, it appears that it's not rocket science, but apparently (to me) just opening the X8 is. Thanks!

    Hey! I just got a refurbished Jura impressa limited edition, not sure how old it is. The coffee is great, but I noticed some water in the tray under the container with the coffee residue (not sure if I'm explaining it right). Any idea why is that happening? Thank you a lot!

    Hi! I just switched over from my DeLonghi Intensa to a refurbished Jura C5, and I have a question. This I presume is normal, because it's audible in the video. What is that buzzing after the brew? Is it a solenoid blocking the coffee spout?

    • @yt.myworks
      @yt.myworks  3 роки тому

      @Jakab Gergő: The buzzing comes from the solenoid valve that opens the drainage valve. The valve is located at the bottom of the brew group. If it's not louder like my video then everything is fine

    • @czonczike630
      @czonczike630 3 роки тому

      @@yt.myworks it's not. Thank you! I was just unsure of that sound. Is it the cause of the dry pucks?

    • @yt.myworks
      @yt.myworks  3 роки тому +1

      The valve opens so that the pressure in the brew group escapes. The brew group can then return to its starting position and eject the used coffee.

    • @tonymontana897
      @tonymontana897 3 роки тому

      @@yt.myworks Yes, thank you. I have searched both Ebay and Amazon. Problem with Ebay is their very outdated and very expensive shipping whereas Amazon has free shipping for orders over $49 which is great when you are buying multiple items. Amazon is King in most circumstances. Ebay needs to overhaul its shipping service because it turns a lot of people off using Ebay, myself included. They have an amazing amount of worldly reach. You'd think they'd do a deal with all the shipping companies instead of using GSP, which is a total rip off. Ebay are still in the dark ages.

    • @yt.myworks
