Hi everyone, when assembling, follow all steps exactly. Take special care in the minute ᐅᐅ 6:18 this step is very IMPORTANT, otherwise the grinder will not work properly!!
Hi, i did everything like in this video, i made it also 5 times work without Beans . I have problem that my coffee taste like water its too thin and coffe in charger is too wet. I also changed from 7 to 3,5 degree of grinding level and the coffee is still thin. Please can you help me? Thank you
@Hello Uros, did you grease the brew group and the spindle? As described in my other video? Everything has to be easy to move so that the machine regulates back.
I was supper careful but it wouldn't work. So I checked inside the sleeve and it seems like the thread is filed down inside the sleeve. Can you confirm that there is supposed to be a thread in the sleeve ? or is it smooth inside ? After i do the sleeve the grinder doesn't turn with the screwdriver as it does with you.
Hi, I’ve followed the instructions but still get an error that there’s no beans. When I turn the screw my grinder does not turn, although does turn when performing the first function test. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
"I'm so glad I found this video on how to clean the grinder of my Delonghi automatic coffee machine! The instructions were incredibly helpful and easy to follow, and I was able to clean the grinder in no time at all. Before watching this video, I had no idea how to properly clean my Delonghi coffee machine's grinder, and I was worried about damaging it or having to pay for a professional cleaning. But thanks to this video, I was able to do it myself and save myself a lot of hassle and money. Overall, I highly recommend this video to anyone who owns a Delonghi automatic coffee machine and wants to keep it in top condition. It's definitely worth taking the time to watch and learn!"
Thanks very much for posting this. My grinder had jammed on my Magnifica EVO and turns out it was a piece of plastic 14mm long (which presumably was in a bag of beans). Once I had removed the top burr I could extract the foreign object. So no need to remove the lower burr with all the complication that involves.
TL,DR: Got a new grinder and only after seeing this video I repaired the old, which is in use. First of all, loved the cinematography options like detailed close ups, the tools and pieces doing the "talk" while captions gave more detailed instructions. Second, following the steps I was able to recover what I thought was a broken grinder due to a stone "offering" from the coffee bag 😊. Unfortunately, only after acquiring a new grinder and installing it I discovered your video, just before closing some YT tabs with replacement videos. So I went to the recycling bin and recovered it, disassembled it and cleaned it neatly and replaced the new one with it. Man, it's bitter sweet feeling as my Magnifica S works great but have an expensive grinder sitting and waiting for its turn. 😅 Anyway, thanks so much for the generosity of sharing info and allow others to maintain/repair their machines.
Also at 6:50 - 7:04, the adjuster is shown at 50, and then wide open. If it isn't wide open the grinder cone doesn't fall into position the the grinds will be unusably coarse. Moving the adjuster manually full open as shown (though the importance wasn't noted) and then repositioning to the marked half way worked for me. This video was very helpful thank you!!
‘Magnifica’ video and explanation. A credit to you for very clear and precise instructions. Good focus. Hope you do such good work for other machines. Thanks you.
Great step by step tutorial - thought we would be down £400 for a new machine after the grinder jammed. Cleaning the grinder as show. did the job perfectly. Coffee flowing again! Many thanks!!
You just saved as roughly 150 € and several mornings without coffee. Thank you so much! Some wooden material got stuck in the grinder and caused the exact same blocking sound.
Thank you so much!!❤ a tip for a FASTER REPAIR: I just did the steps up to 1:50min and vacuumed out the dirt. done. so the machine was repaired without unscrewing the grinder. 🎉
Thanks so much! I have a slightly different model Magnifica S Cappuccino (with milk tank). The only difference was that in step at 1:00, there is no steam wand handle to remove. I just skipped past this step, and everything else worked out exactly the same. Also, I did not go past the step in 1:54. As soon as the burr grinder was exposed, I saw the problem, which was some metal debris had been mixed into the coffee by accident. I removed it, cleaned out the burr grinder, and re-assembled. Everything worked as fine as ever! Very easy.
Thank you for this video. I had the same problem with a stone stuck in the grinder. I follow your instructions a repaired it in a few minutes. Great video, thanks
Thank you for this very detailed video. Saved me sending my machine away and paying a fortune! Took me about 60 minutes and my machine was making perfect coffee again ☕
Thanks for the walkthrough. My ECAM22.320.SB had a stuck grinder and I was able to unjam it following your help. Broke off a few plastic tabs taking the cover off though, as mine has hinges yours does not seem to have. All good once screwed back together.
Thanks for the video, you saved me new coffee machine as someone had dropped a piece of plastic into the grinder and with the help of your video I was able to take it apart and remove the debris. Much appreciated.
Thank you so much for the video. There was an issue with the grinder and the coffee tastet completely bland, now everything is back to normal and I couldn’t be happier.
Just like to say thank you. I just done my parents machine. That screw @ 6:18 caught me out. I thought I had lined it up, I was expecting to feel the lugs as I tightened the screw. Then I poked the top to see if it was tight and it just spun round. Didn't think much of it at the time but I lost position. 2nd time round all good ☕☺
Thank you so much for the instructions, I worked in my Delonghi Magnifica ESAM4200. The model is slightly different but I was able to remove a piece of wood I believe that was stuck in the grinder. Gonna move away from Lavazza after this!
Amazing video. I have just gotten this machine and was ready to return it because of the 2 loud clicking noises after the grind but this video shows the complete operation with those sounds. Thanks for the amazing detail.
As soon as I heard the sound in your video, I knew I was in good hands. My DeLonghi started making the same noise out of nowhere. We found a machine screw jamming up the grinder. Must have come from the bag of coffee beans. Thanks for the great video!
your videos are very good, despite always maintaining them for years and good to watch because we ended up learning something new. keep it up ... congratulations
Just followed this on the Eletta Cappuccino. Hardest part was getting the plastic covers off, all for a little bit of wood stuck in the grinder. In your experience is it normal for the machine / grinder to be much quieter. Sounds like a different machine now. Thanks very much. Also at 1:29 do you turn the cog until it stops.
Worked out why it was so quiet and the coffee was so strong. I hadn’t tightened the top grinding cog enough. This vid has saves me an expensive repair bill. Kudos
I didn't have TR20 screw driver head. Moved the grinding setting to 7, turned the whole thing upside down and bumped a few times against the kitchen top. And surprise surprise the blocking thing dropped out and grinder started working again! 😅
Thanks! An hour work, cleaned it, changed the 5 torx screws with security pin at the back for Philips screws ;)) And now it's running again. But I saw also that 2 bearings were worn out. One bearing is still seated in a copper (?) ring, the two other bearings no copper ring. I have to find an address where I can order these. Or just order a new grinder. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for this video. I’m having the same issue as a few others. I have the grinder set on 3 but the grounds are very coarse. So coarse I only see loose grounds, no pucks in the bin. I lined up the dial just like you pointed out at the 7 min mark of the video.
I also ran 10 max strength coffee cycles without the beans, followed steps 1 and 2 in the video that you recommended to ensure everything was moving properly. I think I broke it because it was producing fine grounds and pucks before I tried fixing myself.
@@yt.myworks broke was a wrong choice of words. I believe what was causing my issue was that I didn’t dial back the large grinder wheel into the correct position. In your video at the 7 minute mark, both the black mark and notch in the smaller wheel lined up perfectly. That was not the case for me.

Succesfully repaired my magnifica S, using this tutorial. One thing though... Two tiny ballbearings fell out somewhere from the grinder. They are like 5 Times smaller than these showed in video.
