I might be a minority but I love the exploration zones and any chance to do them was great. I farmed every shadow bringer relics and unfortunately people quit Eureka before I could get all of that. I know there’s discords but I don’t have the time for that anymore.

It's gotten even worse with Dawntrail now. I'm getting raid parties where half the team just straight out and admittedly griefs, they aren't even sprouts of returners.

This is like telling your damage dealers that their parse doesn't matter. Well, because everybody in the raid are damage dealers.

Only time i dont heal is when i know someone isnt going to figure the shit out and we can clear without them, and i and this corpse both know its the better choice. Saves me mana and they dont have to keep getting up and exploding. Im sure most of you know exactly what im talking about.

The cringe lines destroyed some moments that were the cultivation of our efforts. Not mentioned the WoL is sidelined terribly. Whenever we met new characters of course as WoL we want to know them and see them more….Zero, Vtra, Estinien, Lopporits ❤… but never should a new npc actually replace us. Character placement is incredibly important in dialogue and cutscenes. We are a distant memory in all. The worst cutscene of all for me was during a nice our character is placed behind Wuk Lamat axe. Blocking us from a nice shot. This to me felt deliberate.

I like the manderville relics. I kinda thought they were a little too easy to get. Post Dawntrail, they got crazy easy to get.

Went in with no expectations and an open mind. Loved Werlyt, enjoed the first half of Dawntrail... only to be insulted by the preachy shitshow that is the second half. As sad as it is to admit, the doom-sayers were right. Dawntrail MSQ is a huge pile of "Look at my awesome OCs!!! You need to care about my preachy, morally corrupt plot!!!" garbage CBU3 managed to insult their players' intelligence in the worst way possible and the scions deserve so much better!

I’m a healer main and there were several Bad healers I encountered and they said they save raider healers etc. but this is like alliance raid or duties that people need to clear they clearly can’t see themselves as a healer or know what a healer does. Toxic healers need to stop being healers. Get off

"FFXIV Players" are not a monolith. They do not share a group-mind. Some of us actually LOVE the Manderville relics.

Thankfully I see some crystal players forming discords for doing stuff on crystal dc and that has got me back into raiding. But it is bad that you need to get noticed to be able to join since it is not that easy to find those servers.

This is why I main WHM, because Lilies are a GCD instant healing resource that lets me refund the Glares I didn’t cast through the Blood Lily. My habits at this point include trying to find good places to switch between using Lilies and using my OGCD tools. To the point where if something goes wrong I usually have an answer for it on hand at the ready. However, this is a skill that I picked up with years of practice. I don’t expect newer healers to have this down right away. Planning your healing is easier if you can properly collaborate your plans with your cohealer too.

The consistent time commitment each week is the biggest obstacle

Does anyone remember ARR relics?! The pain for the grind. Now that the relics are easier tgey don't like it. Wheb it was more grindy, players still gets upset. People! Make up ur mind.

Ppl with a “but my barse”, mentality scare me. I agree, If you’re lucky enough to snatch a great party and a great parse in pf: lucky you. But ultimately, if your party can’t clear bc you can’t even keep them up, like what are you doing lol.

Nah, I actually welcome that these weapons are easy to obtain, I hated Eureka, and that was one of the main reasons I never did those relics. I wanted to obtain the Reaper Relic before Dawntrail and started today, and I'm super happy that they are easy. I might also do BM, too.

Players will always complain if there's nothing more to do.

Try casting mudras on high ping and you’ll realize how much it effects gameplay 😭

I think the point is if people are making mistakes due to learning the mechanics, that is not a reason to not heal them. Also, it’s more detrimental to the party as a whole to let that person die when you could have saved them and circumvented their error/choice. Domino effect. Could have stopped at one and just fixed it but letting it fall is likely to cause more to fall 🤷🏻‍♀️

Please no fucking expansion zones. Cannot stand eureka and bozja, not fun content or zones imo. And now as someone witg a 7 month old baby and a full time job the mando relics are great as they respect your time more than the horrible old grind weapons. Why some people want a long grind is beyond me, quite selfish reasoning. They should have kids then see how their opinion changes when they need to touch grass and spend time with family.

What I did for the 10th anniversary event, I checked what was still highest selling per tome at the end and some of those are now selling for quite a bit on my World. I’m still sitting on some for better pricing but yeah lol.

You are aware these prices are very likely to tank with this event, right? Not to mention no one is gonna buy these off the boards for quite awhile, most likely even a few weeks after the event is gone cuz people who wanted them would’ve already gotten them

I played FFXI for 18 years with JP players and we did mostly fine. (a few assholes on both sides but that is pretty normal)

As a Tank Main, I’ve heard and dealt of the “You Pull You Tank” mentality and it’s embarrassing as well as putting a bad rep on us tanks who don’t cry about something so stupid

sometimes I wish DPS was not so important to tanks and heals. you should be a healer/DPS, not DPS/healer where it's all about DPS and healing can get kind of boring when we only have 1 single DPS spell 1 aoe spell, and just spam it again and again. having that been said I like healing and still have fun with it. it does get kind of annoying when a tank doesn't even use basic mitigation or tank CDs and heals get blamed for it, if you don't know how to play tank you can always ask about things like that in party we are a team at the end of the day. if I see a tank doing it, I will not be mean about it. I care more about getting us to the end more than things like that. just do the best you can. and don't feel bad if someone dies we all been there.

Healers are so broken. I actually started to hate this game after 4.0's changes stripped healers of their dps complexity and started this pure healer garbage. It's so thankless, boring, and dull.

Grouping up with people to do content doesn't make me feel connected to them in any way. We have our own jobs to do sure, but then we just part ways and never talk again. All of my friends have moved on from the game, my FC has like 3 people online at the most and no one ever chats or says hi. Going into duties with others is the same, most groups never say anything and they get on with the grind. Even trying to make friends as a bard, playing music for others I can hardly make any new friends, people sit and listen to a song or two then they move on and I just feel like I'm part of the background.

Honestly i kinda want more healer classes. Ive just gotten bored of the 4 classes we have.

Im a RDM. I know my main focus is DPS. But i usually joke that i have a worse "healers mentality" than an actual healer. (Im not this way except to close friends as a joke) where i have the mentality of "im the true reason this party is alive. If the healer goes down **_I_**, choose whether the healer gets ressed or not

Usually when they dont reveal too much about something but not because theyre saving it for launch but because its not coming till a .3 or .5 patch.
