It's definitely a lonely game that isolates players because a bunch of anti-social people that never had many friends growing up use the game to get back at their bullies by constantly screenshotting, arguing, fighting, trying to get back at others on alts, trial accounts, etc. Longtime players know this, so they're forced to be introverted and not say very much or trust anyone enough to build friendships beyond only a couple people.
Been playing for a year or so now, most of the major cities are always populated, but the amount of people willingly open to make new connections is pretty small
It's one of those things where if you play when the expansion is current, it's a huge difference. Like Sharlyan will feel a lot more empty once Dawntrail drops in a few months. The starter cities are the only ones that still retain some people. I agree though, especially doesn't help that shout chat is often spammed with advertisements.
@@Sonicrida Agreed, and there are pockets of community but they are hidden and harder for newer players to find out about without any previous knowledge
You know what I'd like them to add. Camping, more specifically camping in the open zones. There are so many areas in the game where I'd like to plomp down a tent, campire, and chair and just enjoy the vista.
The problem with MMOs like FF14 is that you have to join a third party social app like Discord to even get activity with other players in a stable way. PF can only go so far in carrying the game's social aspects in that regard and a majority don't really use PF too often. The design of PF feels outdated too with how it goes about bringing players together which is an issue in of itself. Most don't feel like installing an app for one game if they don't have a Discord yet, cause believe it or not some gamers dislike installing separate apps on their computers for a game. I don't really have a solution to these issues, and they may not be issues to others-but they are issues I have noticed personally. FCs are.. Fifty/Fifty in regards to success. I am personally not in one because a lot of them have weird rules and regulations in place, making it feel like a work place where everyone has to put on a mask or you're booted from the guild.
Honestly I wanna see the bicolors added to every zone. However as for player loneliness, I think it's moreso a matter of making friends. Lots of people feel like they cant make meaningful friendships. MAYBE having more mass content would help with that, but I personally cant think of a single person I partied with in Bozja that i still talk to or really ever talked to again after that single instance partying with them, and bozja really promoted partying with random players aka "meeting new people." I find myself making friends more often via FCs, Party Finder (believe it or not), and FFXIV related discords (cough, mine, cough).
I see what you’re saying but honestly the only places that feel alive for the most part are the three main cities. Adding overworld content would make other places feel more alive by default because then there’s more going on in the actual world itself. I don’t really care about making friends in a video game I just don’t like empty open spaces in mmos. Just doing content with other people friends or not is more fun than doing it by yourself , in my opinion
HEHE (cough, your discord is great, cough) and yeah! If there's one thing I'll point out when I compare the two, Eureka lacking the streamlining bozja has actually made it a *more* social experience than Bozja. If I have one criticism of Bozja, it's that it's actually *too* do-able without communicating with others. You're still with a lot of people but it doesn't force you to party up as much or figure things out with others for the main goals. I hope that the next zone is sort of a balance between the two. All of the extra/side grinds in Bozja are what get people to really work together and connect, especially the build up to Delbrum Savage for people who try it. A part of my hope is that more opportunity eventually means more social connections.
@@thed4rknss673 i remember this. The boring prerequisite quest line is too much just to unlock the moogle tribe and then it takes forever to get the tribe to bloodsworn with just 50 points each quest.
I do think this is a data server/world issue to some degree. The social scene on Aether vs. Dynamis vs. Crystal are all night and day when compared to each other, but the solutions that you offered are all fantastic and would improve the game as a whole. Great video!
That's certainly true too. It does make me wonder about a future where some worlds end up merged especially with the new cloud data center tech they tested last year!
When i tried GW2 for the first time it was incredible. The world bosses and completing objectives to fill maps and random people showing up in every zone.👌
I remember I also talked about this problem briefly in my 1 year of FFXIV video and in my 1000 hours video and people were defending my point of the game feeling lonely with "go to RP clubs" when my whole problem with the loneliness of the game is that the game doesn't really encourage you to be with other player as much as Eureka and Bozjan does. I really like your ideas and I am happy to see someone make a video dedicated to this issue of the game! ^^
i think doing this would be an issue in itself. since you take away completely from the field operation experience. also the main issue is the world of eorzea is just too big and then they limit the cap amount of players and split it into data centers and such. and the thing is itll only get more empty seemingly until they merge servers or increase the cap players. and keep in mind half the players are in a instance such as a dungeon so that adds to the emptiness
Finally a video that is addressing this! First off crafting needs to be some of the best gear in the game, food should be more prominent in its usage. Cities and towns should be updated as new expansion release just like Mor Dahna. I agree that towns are empty and do not serve enough purpose behind them as they should, crafting guilds should be moved to the front of the city and should have a huge purpose for leveling up your craft. Jobs should have guilds placed in each city as well that is important for level progression and exclusive weapon and gear challenges and quest. Open world activities and fates is a spot on request! Often I roam the world looking at sites and reading up on them out of game, it’s wasteland of nothingness and no one. I respect time off for employees to ramp down and have a work life balance. But to not have quest and things to do in those lulls is unbearable and unfair to those of us that use the game as a daily escape and down time. One last suggestion, if everyone in a duty roulette has 1 or more jobs past 60, they should create “Hard/Extreme criterion modes” for duty roulette dungeons and raids. Hear me out, Coil of Bahamut style difficulty, but the rewards are worth it and make them 6 man runs for dungeons, 24 man raids revamped with new moves from raids like Crystal Tower and Weeping city.
As much as I'd like stuff like that, I can only imagine 3 weeks after it was implemented, people would be swarming the FF14 forums screeching about how the game forces you to interact with people in order to get anything substantial and fun. I remember that there are *tons* of Japanese players that want to play FF14 but want it entirely as a solo experience. It's why they introduced Trust and spent so much time making sure you can play 99% of the main story solo (the only stuff they're missing is the 8-man trials and Crystal Tower, essentially). At the end of the day, players *want* to be left alone on FF14, and that's just how it is, culturally, in this MMO. Now, I'm not sure that this is the same throughout the entire community, so I'd recommend bringing this up in the forums. From what I've heard, the forums are where a lot of people hash out how they feel the game should be, and you can test the waters to see how most players react to it. I think that, while SE *does* look at videos and stuff, the main things they look to when determining what the playerbase want is on their forums. As much as I agree it would be nice to show off that some events take place in other cities like Ishgard, that would just lock out players who haven't played far enough. All events are lvl 15/get access to the airship, which essentially means *anyone* who has finished the "tutorial" can take part. Can you *imagine* the outrage that would happen if you needed to have access to Stormblood, or, heaven forbid, *Shadowbringers* to be able to get specific items or story, and if you don't get there fast enough, it's *gone forever* ? Especially since you can buy these special items that you missed through the cash shop. The amount of rage that people would have if they missed out on something because they weren't far enough in the game story-wise, and then they'd have to spend *real money* to get the item that they missed out on only because they didn't speedrun the main story!? No, that's a horrible feeling for players, even if they only missed out on story.
you worry too much about the potential negatives instead of thinking of the potential positives. There are players in this game that wish for it to involve more player interactions, hence why RP is such a huge thing as it forces you(to an extent) to interact with another player(s). This is an MMO not a Singleplayer game
@@ikeaira8701 rp doesnt for you to do shit you can solo rp to and thr postive dont benefit anybody really but s tiny minority of players while the negatives hurt the was mayority .it fun you cry bad andy take whrn you have a mental broken raider mindset thinking everbody want contentnyou like that challanging and forcing ppl ingame but the reality is ppl like you are irellavant number compaired to the overall players .
@@ikeaira8701 Yes, but RP isn't forced upon anyone. Along with, on average most people want to play alone. While there are upsides, going against what most people want isn't a smart thing in a game.
Most gamers don't know what they want. It's the Devs job to provide them with what they need. And the game being a MMO, it needs community driven content. We've been getting what the criers (Especially from JP) want for long enough.@@Gear5shaco
It’s been nice seeing people doing fates for the moogle treasure trove, it would be nice if there was more reasons to do the fates and there were better rewards for the gemstones. I’d also like to see some more updates to the treasure maps.
There is two sides to this, you don't need a company to push you to make friends make them on your own and if you don't you only have yourself to blame, I have social anxiety and I'm very introverted so i never go out of my way to meet people, but I'm not going to complain about not having anyone to do stuff with it was my choice, then you have people complaining because they go out and make a lot of friends then get into online drama which could have been avoided by playing solo, the grass isn't always greener on the other side, live your best Eorzean life, you can also add all the loot and and grinding you want but people will eventually be done with it and will go back to doing whatever they do when they don't do content, if you add more reasons to do various content for the same stuff people are going to optimize the fun out of it to get it done quickly, i don't understand why people think the solution to everything is giving people more busywork, chores to do and errands to run, the reason people always hang out in the starter areas is because they have access to meeting the most people and they get to show off their gear, clothing, and weapons to sprouts while they hang out and talk or just leave the game running for months with their character AFK waiting for each content update.
@@Sonicrida And when the content has aged a bit and fewer people are doing it, you just make it part of the relic grind. It makes me so frustrated that the EW relic could have been made so much better simply by swapping some of the steps from tomes to bicolored gemstones, allied seals, or even grand company seals.
Critical fates locked behind aether currents... You just described the Diadem 2.0 and that failed horribly. :( Edit: everything you mentioned is what Diadem 2.0 was. :o
That's super interesting. I wasn't around for it but honestly I think it could be incrementally unlocked similar to how you don't have access easily to all areas of a zone at first in Bozja and Eureka.
One of the main problem is inherently the fact that both Eureka and Bozja are instanced content. While I don't think Square is brave enough to move away from that... It would still be great if that content is brought to the overworld without the heavy story progression to tie it into something. You can still have story, but a vague one that just touches on things as you progress through the fates & critical encounters in the overworld which would eventually lead up to a massive open world event. But I think square is just scared to stress the open world so much. The open world already gets a bit laggy when a hunt-train is passing by. And this is the result of Square just being too lazy/busy to rewamp the netcode to a standard that will allow massive multiplayer systems like that. GW2 does this extremely well and often enough it's not even laggy. In XIV you put 10 players in the same area and the game barely knows what to do.
that would kill the game faster then you can think most player in ffxiv about 85% are causals we play ot have fun and relax not to be challanged i know that something that lost on you tryhard .gw2 isnt ffxiv and games should all share the same stuff gw2 story is trash but it open world isnt the opposite is true for ffxiv .
@@anteprs7908 what are you on about? Please try to write sentences that make sense or remember grammar. First of all I am very much a turbo casual player if you've ever seen one. I hardly do any raiding outside of a select few. In XIV the open world is empty as shit and there's nothing to do outside of hunt trains and the msq. Everything else is optional and has very little value outside of "thats a cool sidequest". Bringing zone activity like Bozja or Eureka to the open world would make things much more active and enjoyable in the open world. Ofcourse it should be OPTIONAL and not be in the way of someone doing the MSQ. But let me ask you this; when you go to an area in FF14, how often do you see more than 3 or 4 players in the same area? During the release of an expansion you see alot of people, but after a while all the open world areas become largely un-used for anything other than gathering materials and hunt-trains.
@@Revonlieke what raiding you do if you did bozja and eureka you sint casual sorry doing challanging content make you midcore . Bringing eureka andd bozja will kill the open world more most REAL casual dont like that content . Old map are always dead in most mmorpg even in gw2 the best mmorpg with open worlds .optional or not it doesnt belong in open world more ppl hate or dont care for bozja and eureka then anybody likes them and even those zones are very dead many times. What you wish doesnt benefit the 85% casual players at all most if not next to all dont care for this and as for my grammar if you can understsnd my point thst fine then if not i can rewrite what you dont get .
@@anteprs7908 Instead of arguing with you then, what WOULD benefit the casual player to make the open world more active? We both know the open world in 14 is pretty empty most of the time, so what would you add to the game that is not bozja or eureka type content that would keep people interested in hanging out in these large areas of the game? Or are you just in the mindset that it's fine as is? If so, then we having nothing to talk about since our viewpoints a clearly different.
@@Revonlieke more daily quest chains , more event that dont require challanges better gemstone rewards. But ffxiv is a game about story it open world isnt the selling point that kind of mmorpg would be gw2
Well here in the EU MOOGLE (CHAOS), most of our HARDCORE raiders have all left to LIGHT datacenter, so im pretty sure that certain servers and datacenters are super populated while others are just empty, also i usually just teleport to places that i want to go but my friend is so old school that they prefer to fly around while laughing at sprouts that are still catching up with content in the open world and running around (no flying unlocked)
the loneliness part is all dependant on the server/data center your on if your on like crystal or aether it is no way shape or form lonely cause there are tons of people on those servers i dunno about some of the others but yeah dynamis is deadish cause its a new server mostly
Only a few seconds in and i gotta say, It must be the server you're on because my limsa on crystal/diablos is PACKED on a regular basis. Ul'Dah is busy. Grid is usually packed. Again i'm only saying this for the server i'm on but all you have to do to make friends is ask. people are everywhere.
They should create A feature where you can set up your own camp in the open world areas an have A permit to set up A camp like 1m-3m gil to purchase A camp permit depend on the size and you can have NPCs in your camp that helps you find items or help you kill mobs including FATES you level your camp level the higher the level is the more buffs you can apply to your NPCs in the camp
This is an inherant problem with open world mmo's. If you don't want to feel lonely you're going to have to go to the populated areas. Not every zone has to be filled just like not every irl park has to be swarming with people at all times of the day. People make events and advertise it extensively so that people know where to congrigate and people set up times to swarm zones for hunt marks. Compared to other MMO's this is less of a problem for ffxiv. WoW and Gw2 have it the worst and ESO and ffxiv are the best in my experiencee with running into players and i've played all four of those games for thousands of hours respectively.
One game that I really enjoyed that definitely inspired some stuff in this video is New World. It is very player driven with people fighting over territories and cities so as the conflict moved, the natural open world battlegrounds moved as well. That and gathering infused with pvp made for an interesting experience haha. It also meant that depending on your server, different cities would be popular which was kinda cool to me since it didn't focus on just the early or endgame towns. Every town had value in different ways.
I would love to make a discord server for ffxiv players whether they play on eu or NA and other servers it would be a great idea to try and get players of the community to connect.
Excellent video! I want to say that all of these things are more than likely things that they would want to do (or do on a larger scale) but, the server / cpu can't handle a lot of that stuff going on. They are 100% beholden to the PS4 sys req's and were beholden to the PS3 sys req's up until right before Shadowbringers I think it was. It's unfortunate. Maybe in time this will change. :)
Not bad ideas. While I'm not the biggest fan of Bozja and Euerka's game play I still would enjoy a lot of these ideas! The hub city event idea is one I really really want. An excuse to spend time in Ishgard would be great. Its my fav place to log out in. For me what really makes the game feel lonely is the RP side of things. Oh sure we've got dozens of PFs for clubs with a DJ but go in and while people are having fun it doesn't feel personal. Before those exploded there was dozens of cafes, resturants, taverns and other little rp venues. Places for adventures to hang out between jobs to relax, take a friend on a date or take their characters on dates. Actually role playing in the classic sense. DJ clubs are just Limsa AKF with a lot more work put into it. Now if that's what you log in for then don't stop. I just see less and less people in game and more and more AFK icons over head as they listen to music on twitch and chat in discord, kinda makes turning on the PS4/5/PC/and now Xbox to play 14 seem kinda pointless and more hollow.
Island Sanctuary is the loneliest content I've ever done in the game. I really wish it was an adventure zone instead. Oh hell yeh, critical encounters in the open world would be great. Better yet, make them happen in any zone so you can get high level crit encounters in low level zones.
Devils Advocate, I would prefer if the standard exploration zones in *strange* places were instanced to people you were partied with pre-emptively UNTIL you finished the expansions. Aka you pioneering the way, and it opening up for the braver adventurers. Seeing people on the moon in EW, or under the ocean in ShB completely took me out of it when I was "the first person there". Why is there literally anyone else here?
@@Nivim-vh8qv yeah, but thats not a good enough excuse when they make a whole plot macguffin about summoning powerful allies to your side for the more dangerous trials. Why is *that* thing if they're just going to handwave the "unexplored areas" bit
Honestly, so glad they did Ultima Thule the way they did, because seeing other folks in it would completely break the feeling of isolation they were going for
Thats actually server related. Changed recently server because of that. Now i see player everywhere. Not a problem, just some servers are more popular than others
Got the game last week and its so lonely. No one chats and theres only about 20 people who know eachother in the town. People mostly raid with friends they know in real life
Yep! It's a rough experience for sure. It gets better once you're caught up but it still feels kinda the same. I'm gonna make some resources about how to manage it and make friends but I do hope that the game can add stuff like this too!
Are you on free trial? If not , fc's can be a good start. Of course it can be a mixed bag, some people have some really bad experiences but I am very happy with mine. Everyone was so helpful when I started out and I found really friendly people to play with. Another thing which could work would be the novice network - again here experiences might differ, but it might be a nice start for some mild socializing even if you're on free trial
If you feel lonely just TALK TO PEOPLE. You can join an FC, join party finder groups, go to different worlds or even data centres… like hell, I often go to Balmung just to talk to strangers and I’ve had some of the most fun interactions in game (no, I don’t mean ERP). In my experience, this game is the most social thing I’ve ever played outside of like VR Chat.
Grouping up with people to do content doesn't make me feel connected to them in any way. We have our own jobs to do sure, but then we just part ways and never talk again. All of my friends have moved on from the game, my FC has like 3 people online at the most and no one ever chats or says hi. Going into duties with others is the same, most groups never say anything and they get on with the grind. Even trying to make friends as a bard, playing music for others I can hardly make any new friends, people sit and listen to a song or two then they move on and I just feel like I'm part of the background.
Great video, this stuff is exactly what I been saying too about the game. The AFKers/Casuals/Solo-Andies(Not meaning to sound mean) already have the grand majority of the game catered to them. It'd be nice to have some new "fresh" content for those of us that do play the game religiously when we're not at work. That's not to say Raiders aren't eating good this expansion either; because they definitely are outside of a few bugs & gearing issues, but the Midcore crowd has truly suffered this expansion. The game is great, but it could be so so so much better with content like your video suggests plus some. The devs I feel just need to get over the fear that the community struck into them with Diadem, and other risky content. Just need to buckle up, stick to their guns, and adjust where necessary so long as it fits their vision. Oh, and not drop the content entirely once the new expansion comes around >.> The game has changed so much these last 14years, and with plans for 10 more years of content I'm hopeful they'll bring the MMO back to the game. Doesn't need to be an extreme end like WoW, but a good middle ground can be found that'll make everyone happy. I truly believe that much currently.
Grand mayority of the game catered to them .omg you truly are metal ill all we have is dailys and msq and in ew relic and island the open world is simple there to do msq and be done with it . The mayority of content is for midcores and hardcore anf both dont even make up more then 12% of the overall playerbase .you 😅n of those pol who think eureka, bozja, variant dung, extreme trails deep dung are all to easy so they must be casual content but they isnt they are midcore content .midcore have been eating good every single expantion but ew focus for once on the pol WHO KEEEP THIS GAME ALIVE and they game us more then msq for once and so the midcore players started crying that there is no eureka or bozja ignoring the fact the got deep dung and variant and crit dungs.
I get this sense that you're assuming all players want to be forced into actively engaging with other players. I know several solo players who don't even like doing roulettes with randoms. They don't want friends, they just want the story. You can't do class duties with other players in party so that's annoying on a social level but I also can see a soloist complaining about not being able to do things solo. The emptiness of the overworld is honestly fine...you aren't fighting for mobs or having spawn claim disputes. Sadly no game can cater to everyone's preferences. I haven't found an issue with any of these social issues. If you want to be social, join an active FC. Nothing is stopping people from talking or asking others to party with them to do things. Usually there are players willing to help. Maybe it's more a matter of speaking up? /shrug
I have no problems *finding* activity and people in the game. I just want more ways to do it. The social experience offered by Eureka/Bozja is unique and I think the game could use more of it. I know that plenty of people love the solo experience and I think that's awesome. I just want the game to do more for the people who play the MMO for the MMO part even if Square has done a pretty good job catering to people who don't want that. My bigger thing is, they spent a lot of Endwalker focusing on the solo experience and since they've already said that their focus next expansion is on more community and group focused stuff, I just think that they have some good ideas to leverage. Some of my favorite interactions have come from content that force people together. I don't expect what I want to be for everyone! Not in the slightest.
You want more of it? I'm pretty sure that eureka/bozja experience has been confirmed to return to Dawntrail due to demand, so its being brought back, just be patient.@@Sonicrida
This is all missing the forest for the trees, the issue is not neding discord, linkpearls, and third party communities with timers it is the fact the policy against thirdy party makes new players avoid them. You fix the lonliness problem by being with people in discords, and communities not havign the content hold your hand and throw you into a five minute playpen. You fix the lonliness problem by you going to the players not hoping square makes them come to you. People in Eurika link third party websites all the time in chat, it is the place of old content that no longer has the eye of square on it. Go RP and do content were interacting with players IS the content and make more content gatekept by having made groups in party finder were you have to build a network of other players then have the Q do it all for you. If you are running around a dead server that is you making a bad choice of server if you care about player count in cities.
😂lol we been saying this from day one but ppl in ff14 down us when we talk abt it. We keep saying the has nothing to offer other then mounts and stupid styles . we need something like rare equipment like ff11 did it with nice skills on them you. Can learn and make open world exp better stop forcing people to go in dungeons all the time😂 Also we need new jobs to be lvl 1 why do all jobs have to be almost max out its so weird mmorpg is abt the experience and grinding. But ff14 took tht away which makes it boring and omg the stats dont work.. Like where is evasion" critical hit damage' Parry' etc and the food buffs r stupit vs ff11 food which u can see the damage buffs it gives and. Potions cooldowns is also stupid it's like they don't want us to heal at all on other classes
Also look at the mp cost. And why cant it grow when you leveling up or gearing up like ff11 like . you start at 30mp thn as u level up or get good gear your mp pool gets bigger. Also they shouldn't have remove TP from the game thy could have made it something like ff7 rebirth atb skills. Like some skills cost 300 tp or 500tp or 1000 tp etc.. and the limit breaker could also be like ff7 rebirth would look alot better thn wat it is right now. Ppl fighting over who us the limit break
How dare you insult this game! Yoshi P said himself to take a break if you don’t want to play! Maybe go play another game if ffxiv is not good enough for you!!! This makes me sooo angry!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
So you're looking to solve a problem that no one has but you, and a small amount of people too disorganized for free companies to be useful? So just roll the game back to 2015 when pugs were required more often than not.
pls no keep bozja and eureka out of the playerbase main open world most ppl havent done or are intrested or dont like bozja and eureka (most because it anti casual it for midcore players).we dont want hardcore content in open world it will make players not want to go out at all(the ppl who want that are a irellavant number).hunt train arent new player or casual player freindly ONLY IF IT A FAST TRAIN not a slow or normal one . I think you completely misunderstand what "midcore content" is. Eureka and Bozja is NOT midcore, it is casual. The only "midcore" parts of those instances are Baldesion Arsenal, the solo Duels in Bozja, and Delubrum Reginae Savage. All of which are entirely optional unless you WANT to put in the effort. The only thing you miss out on are 2 mounts, and a gearset. Midcore content in FFXIV is EX Trials on content, and Savage raids with Echo. The only Hardcore content are Savage raids on content (before echo, before ilvl creep), Ultimates, and Criterion Savages. The MAJORITY of the game IS casual, so seeing people who already have the entire game and a half to choose from complain when people ask for OPTIONAL NEW content for people who WANT a challenge is mildly annoying. Especially when they speak as aggressive as you.
Both my comment keep getting deleted i wonder by who ?anyway no eureka and bozja are midcore content that have to many anti casual and solo feature and challanging content (not hardcore but beyond msq lv challanging ).so does extreme trail have challanging content mostly to hard or hard enough for casuals and so do variant and deep dung with deep dung having a punishing sistem like eureka and bozja . A casual player also NEVER EVER SEEK CHALLANGING CONTENT (DOESNT HAVE TO BE HARDCORE LV) IF HE DOES THAT PLAYER IS BY DEFAULT A MIDCORE PLAYER. Also eureka and bozja grind take to long to be casual content same way deep dungs have to many floor for casual players time . Anyway i see no reason to go on and try to explain why you ppl who are raiders and midcore players think a casual player is or what true casual content is(it msq, island santuary and ew relics and dailys). As for middle ground stuff like normal dung some ally raids and pvp can be for both midcores and casual.
I'd say FFXIV has a (nearly) empty open world problem, rather than a loneliness problem. In any case, I like your ideas!
Glad you enjoyed them!!
I think it’s because every player likes to afk in city states or settlements
Because ppl like there own peace the like to escape live and not need to talk to other so much.
@@anteprs7908 I get that, and im the say way to an extent, but its an MMO. at least try to interact with others :)

You know what I'd like them to add. Camping, more specifically camping in the open zones. There are so many areas in the game where I'd like to plomp down a tent, campire, and chair and just enjoy the vista.
I mean you can… just get the fireplace minion from the market board (it’s generally a couple thousand Gil at most) and BOOM you’re camping.
@@ElZamo92 yes i've already been doing that, but imagine just a full setup with some friends tagging along as well
Ngl this would be super fun
MAYBE having more mass content would help with that, but I personally cant think of a single person I partied with in Bozja that i still talk to or really ever talked to again after that single instance partying with them, and bozja really promoted partying with random players aka "meeting new people." I find myself making friends more often via FCs, Party Finder (believe it or not), and FFXIV related discords (cough, mine, cough).
that how it is in game ppl make freinds when they want to not being forced that something cc like him dont understand .
@@michaels2077 empty open world can be filled with npcs and dome maps are better to be empty
Haven't done Bozja myself, but in regular instances most people are nice, but not looking to make friends past that one thing

Ir nor just ffxiv most modern mmoRPG have huge solo and casual players who hate being force to work with ppl by force and not random choice.
you worry too much about the potential negatives instead of thinking of the potential positives. There are players in this game that wish for it to involve more player interactions, hence why RP is such a huge thing as it forces you(to an extent) to interact with another player(s). For me, if dawntrail does not fix this issue: I'll call it a failed expansion.
Having the overworld have the good elements form bozja would be really cool tbh
It would give people so much to do without even needing a Relic grind IMO
@@Sonicrida And when the content has aged a bit and fewer people are doing it, you just make it part of the relic grind. It makes me so frustrated that the EW relic could have been made so much better simply by swapping some of the steps from tomes to bicolored gemstones, allied seals, or even grand company seals.
Sorry to ask, but what Reshade are you using?
Critical fates locked behind aether currents... You just described the Diadem 2.0 and that failed horribly. :(
Edit: everything you mentioned is what Diadem 2.0 was. :o
And why it never should be
That's super interesting.
Only a few seconds in and i gotta say, It must be the server you're on because my limsa on crystal/diablos is PACKED on a regular basis. Ul'Dah is busy. Grid is usually packed. Again i'm only saying this for the server i'm on but all you have to do to make friends is ask. people are everywhere.
what song plays that the start???
These are great ideas

Congratulations. You've somehow described Diadem 1.0.
/shrug
Fact pure fact my freind
Join a social FC. There are always 7-10 FC members hanging around our FC house chilling and shooting the shit.
Joins an FC, and no one says anything because FCs are just spaces to join a discord..
FCs need infinitely more stuff to do in game.
Good suggestion!

Also we need new jobs to be lvl 1 why do all jobs have to be almost max out its so weird mmorpg is abt the experience and grinding.
"i love when games force players to work togehter " now you lost it that not what most ppl love being FORCED IT BAD AGAIN IT SOMETHING YOU RAIDERS NEED OT GET IN YOUR HEAD. mmo arent mmos most of them are mmoRPGS ignoring the rpg part aka the story and the causal and solo players is fatal flaw that only mmorpg like wow can do who are to big to fail (even if in shadowland it nearly did). what you asking at the end has no logic in mmorpg but sandbox mmos an that not ffxiv genre(crafting and combt dont mix and are different for a good reason). you dont like to encourage you like to FORCE that a different . overall your opinion come for challange enjoyer and that not the 85% of the playerbase who like to relax and have fun and while chllanges are fun for you they aint fun for casuals so the overall content would not only not benefit the game but overall ruin the open world more for most players i dont mind better fate but not challanging ones they only dicourage casuals from bothering and as for the "loneliness problem "in ffxiv you just simple wrong ppl like to chill out on there own term and a ton fo casual are solo player far more then midcore and hardcore ones now i know you as raider cant understand this ,but thats fine your suggestion are ok for ppl like you but come at the cost of limiting the game for the ppl who keep ffxiv alive aka the casuals (about 85>% of the playerbase). the event in a city are nice not the critical encounter bs pls thing with a brain for once it will only force more players to not bother going to city so stop putting hard content everwhere you see it it beyond sad and a sign of a problem on your part you not everthing need to be challanging you have eureka and bozja and all the raids + extreme trails and even variant and deep dung yo ucan have that all but ot come to a place for all player to relax and add NON RELAXING CONTENT it beyond dumb .
Especially when they speak as aggressive as you.
lol you say stop putting hard content everywhere …? Where’s the hard content outside of savage and ultimate ????????????????
@@theyandereprince no you midcore players dont understand it. Eureka and bozja ARE EXTREMELY ANTI CASUAL AND SOLO FREINDLY.
@@theyandereprince Dude is yelling emotional and personal opinions as facts. You can't reason with him brother, don't waste your time.
