UP 2598 leads CN 276 through Bayview with VIA Rail's new fleet Siemens trainset #12. In total there will be 32 sets. These new trains will be replacing VIA's current fleet of F40 and P42 locomotives as well as LRC, HEP and REN coaches in the Quebec City - Windsor corridor. Be sure to check out @orionviii channel and video: ua-cam.com/video/C_YenVZo8yQ/v-deo.html as he was in position for this train when it passed through Brampton.
Set 12 is made up of:
SIIX 2311 Economy Cab Car
SIIX 2811 Economy Class
SIIX 2911 Economy Class

Aug 5, 2022 They are INSANELY bright! Watch as the new fleet rounds the bend alongside the Gardiner Expressway. The headlights of the cars on the highway don't hold a candle to the LED's of these new trains. I was expecting to see the actual snow plow that they use & two guys are up top in the cab of a snowplow & both guys run a left wing & right wing to pull it in a crossings etc while usually they will use two engines to push the plow & depending on how much snow there is.
I took a trip to London from Woodstock yesterday. On my way back I asked about the wheelchair accessible on the trains and the lady said it will be much easier since the ramps are built into the trains. I also asked when the new trains will service the Windsor Toronto train and she said March. I’m so so happy about it since I am in a wheelchair and the staff on the train had lots of trouble getting the lift out of the hut thing it’s in. Wonder if this will be the train on the route
