Caltrans/IDOT and Amtrak Midwest Siemens Venture Coaches Enroute to NRC in Ottawa

Here we have two brand new Siemens Venture passenger coaches enroute from Sacramento to the NRC (National Research Council) in Ottawa, ON for some sort of testing. I think it may have something to do with VIA Rail's New Fleet. I was able to catch both equipment moves on the CN Halton Subdivision.

(CN L276) UP 8821 is leading SIIX 4301- a coach for Amtrak's Midwest network. Location: Bramalea GO station

(CN X 14791 27) CN 2848 leads SIIX 9024 - a coach with Caltrans and IDOT decals. It also appears to be painted for Amtrak's San Joaquin service. Location: Georgetown VIA/GO station.

Two years later and this damn country still can't get these venture coaches running... they are probably sending them to Canada so they can fix them for us...
