  • Find out about the worst protein in the world. You won’t want to eat this!
    DATA:

0:00 Introduction: The worst protein in the world
0:56 What is textured vegetable protein?
1:52 How is textured vegetable protein made?
    4:26 Protein poisoning
In this video, we’re going to talk about one of the worst protein sources in the world. After having a horrible reaction to some “chicken wings” that I ate, I called to find out what was in them. It turns out they were plant-based chicken wings made with textured vegetable protein.
Textured vegetable protein, or textured soy protein, is the worst protein in the world. Soy or cottonseed is used as the “vegetable” to make this protein.
Textured vegetable protein was invented in 1960 as a way to use the waste produced from seed oils. It has been used in veggie burgers, fake meat products, cereals, and many other food products.
Textured vegetable protein is an ultra-processed ingredient. To make it, oil, nutrients, and fiber are removed from the soybean using heat and chemicals like hexane. There are no long-term safety studies or upper limit on hexane established by the FDA. Chronic hexane toxicity is a condition caused by inhaling hexane, so what happens when you ingest it?
Over 95% of textured vegetable protein is GMO, and when consumed, it robs nutrients from your liver. It’s very similar to soy protein isolates.
Any time you consume pure protein without fat, you are creating stress in your body, especially if the protein doesn't contain key nutrients like fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D, and K.

You almost disappointed me... 😅🤣 15 years ago, that's okay. Just kidding 🙃
I was lucky, I just never liked the taste of soy, so I always avoided anything that had it in it. After a while, it simply became suspicious to me that it is almost in everything... 🤔

What do you mean? We're all going through this. We're all being tricked, poisoned and drugged on purpose. Why else would they add industrial waste to municipal water supplies? What other reason could there be for putting paint thinner in cereal or dowsing meats with ammonia? We are being killed on purpose. The plan is an 80% population reduction as per Agenda 21.

Just imagine....you could be even healthier if you implemented animal based products into your diet. Research has proven that our digestive system absorbs protein and nutrients from plant based products at only a fraction of the rate it does with animal based products...don't shoot the messenger, you can't argue with science! But at least vegetarian/vegan diets are healthier than ultra processed food diets and though it's possible to be in descent health on plant based products, over time, the only thing saving you since you are vegetarian are eggs, they are a fantastic multi vitamin but optimal health can only be achieved through clean animal based products including both meat and healthy fats and of course pasture raised eggs!

I've been a vegetarian/pescatarian for almost 3 decades now, & during those yrs, was a vegan for 3+ yrs - was the happiest & lightest in all aspects, yet, decided to discontinue due to over-processed options, despite of the complimentary/abundant choices in recent yrs. To me, regardless of the diet types, the choice in the whole foods vs. processed supersedes all. Still there is always another way & another choice to be healthier individually, but the WHOLE FOOD (preferably organic w/ known origin when/if applicable) is the way to go!! ***another great health benefit I've learned/gained re: myself from veganism was cutting out dairy reduced the break outs & inflammation almost entirely; since then I keep dairy consumption minimal to none*** + intermittent fasting (along w/ prolong ones) has been a true winner for me! FYI, my choice in vegetarianism lies strictly/wholly on my deepest LOVE for animals - just no need to treat them that cruelly whatsoever...... again, there is always another way & another choice... I'm ashamed to be a human on this planet earth (so difficult on a daily basis...), just the most severe & detrimental ignorance & brutality... My health is the most important thing, but the LOVE for animals & this planet is far greater!! & yes, we all have our own way to contribute, big & small, what resonate the most w/ our hearts... for that, Dr. Berg, what you do for all of us is immeasurable, to say the least, THANK YOU!!!!! Was in the grocery store and heading to give blood. Thought I should maybe eat something, as I had not eaten that day yet. You are suppose to eat before donating.
Looked in the keto section. Certified keto, what ever that means. Chocolate covered almonds.
Contained cane sugar, second ingredient, HFCO, soy and seed oils. And some chocolate, almonds and stivia.
5 grams of sugar per serving, which would not amount to much. Maybe 4 if lucky.
Decided against eating and was just fine, which I wouldn't have been if I had eaten that stuff. I ate at supper that night.

Thank you. I have long since stopped eating altogether as everything is poison and runs the risk of cancer. Never felt better!

    Hello doctor
I’m recently migrated to a western country.. my current very busy lifestyle doesn’t give me much of free time. So I decided to start consuming this vegan based all in one shake atleast three to four times a week. I came to this decision because I started loosing lot of weight due to missing meals. I am originally used to very authentic food style as I’m from South Asia. Could you advise me if it’s a good idea to consume those all in one shake powders. The ingredients it has are sprouted beans and rice, kale and some other greens powdered.

Thank you Dr. Berg. I had a similar reaction to the first time I tried some 'Vegan Chicken Nuggets". A friend gave me some 'Gluten-free" protein bars made from chocolate covered "Vegetable proteins" bars that contained Soy Isolates, and two out of the 4 times I consumed one, I became severely weak and nauseous after eating them on an empty stomach. It's as if we are being mind-washed and slow-poisoned...

I used to be a militant vegan (a LONG time ago) so I know about TVP. I ate it a lot. It never affected me this way. Maybe the kind you had something wrong with it, maybe not cooked all the way, or just handled improperly. I am not saying it's a great thing to eat, and I would agree it's pretty crappy protein, but in a pinch, it's better than nothing.

Yes this reaction he mention. Maybe he was being a bit dramatic. But so severy as he mentioned it would indicate allergy or food poisoning. You don’t get this from just eating food. Not even from what we know are considered really unhealthy food

Really looking forward for your response on soy protein isolate when it's mixed with cashew nuts, crayfish, unripe plantain and the rest, is it still the same as when it's not mixed with anything

Since you criticized products with only proteins, I’m curious to know what your opinion on whey protein powder is. Now I know that you critiqued protein powder in one of your videos, but I’m using an organic grass fed protein powder with only two ingredients (the whey and some vanilla extract).

I discovered soy milk in 2023. I began using it with coffee, cocoa, and cornflakes, literally everywhere. I exercise. In the summer of 2023, I went to a urologist, wondering about my T-levels, as part of my weightlifting annual check. We did two tests to be sure. My T-levels did half since I've been taking soy milk but we were not sure if it was connected to soy. So, I gave up soy, just to be on the safe side. 3 months later, we did another check. My T-levels were normal again. Soy? Never again.

I am glad when people are honest about soya. It is not for everybody. I get even sick 0:45 from `organic` tofu.
