15:45 Get started!
Today I want to cover seven things that your face can tell you about what's happening internally with your health.
Looking at a person's face can give you so many clues about what's going on inside. To show you what I mean, we're going to take a look at my own face before and after getting on the keto diet and doing intermittent fasting.
7 things your face says about your health:
1. The shape of the face
If someone has a round face, they have too much insulin and consume too many carbs. I was also storing a lot of water because, with every gram of glucose stored as glycogen, three grams of water are stored.
2. The tissue around the eyes
Puffiness under the eyes is a good indication that the kidneys are backed up because of too much fluid retention.
3. The eyes
Bloodshot eyes can indicate a liver problem. This could also be due to a lack of sleep or a deficiency of vitamins B2 and B3. But, usually, it's a liver problem.
4. Under the chin
Fat under the chin is due to a spill-off of accumulated fat. This doesn't just affect how you look. It can cause certain issues like sleep apnea.
5. The texture of the skin
Oily skin can mean the person has a zinc deficiency. It could also mean they have high androgens due to high insulin.
6. Dry flaky skin
Dry, flaky skin could be due to a liver issue and/or too much omega-6 fatty acids. Cod liver oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, and vitamin D. Because of this, cod liver oil may help with dry, flaky skin and oily skin.
7. Acne
Acne can come from high androgens, which is really too much insulin. Zinc and a change in diet (to Healthy keto) may be beneficial.

@@blueapple4044 - Too bad I am/was already doing it after I bought his book. When I see a person holding a sugary drink, I would look at their belly. 99% of the time their belly is bloated.
Had me dead!!! 😆😆😆😆😆
Dr. Berg is saying don’t come for me unless I send for you 🤣
Lmao
2 things I kept from this video:
1. Zinc helps everyone with everything
2. Carbohydrates seems to cause tons of problems
yes i take 3 vitamin c/zinc supplement everyday it boost my immune system😀
I’m just wondering if I can take zinc supplements
@@arnoldguisa4155 I cannot tell you for sure as I'm not a doctor but I generally recommend against any kind of supplements no matter how "safe" they are. Try to get what you need only from foods (and as less processed as possible). Of course, unless you have a condition and your doctor specifically told you that you MUST get supplements. Then, I guess you have no other choice (tho making your research and hearing a lot of professional opinions is a must in this case).
@@godnyx117 I agree with you. I take whole food supplements -- do you think that's different than chemically formed supplements?
@@sally1269 If they are extracted from food then they are probably fine (I'm saying "probably" because we don't know of the extraction methods). Tho, the real question is, do you trust them?
I suppose you ask because you care and you wait for a straight answer and not a question so if you ask me, I don't take any supplements and I try to take everything from food cause I don't trust literally anyone at this point...
I stopped sugar for four months lost 20 pounds. Started adding sugar again because I was traveling and wanted to drink coffee that would be otherwise undrinkable.
My face after one month is puffy again, I'm tired often and eat randomly because of sugar cravings. Starting my sugar free life again today. Thanks for the inspiration. It's never too late to start a life without sugar.
I honestly don't know what to eat other than chocolate
yeah, added sugar is the enemy (not fruit)
@@Black.Sabbath irony, I despise sugar so much. Always hated choclate. We are so different, humans.
This is actually good, you’ve grown more aware and less ignorant as to the precise nature of sugar’s activities in the body. Use your past experiences as a vector to push you away from sugar.
I was the same, heedlessly eating sugar. I would wake up hungry in the middle of the night, could never sit down for more than 1hr without then craving something carby to eat. I found it difficult to study, exercise and even socialize without having something sweet or carby to keep me happy. Until, laying under a bright light with the taste of latex in my mouth, the dentist told me I needed a root canal. Whilst it is upsetting I needed to get to that point to give it up, it was also the best thing that happened. I can now participate in life without needing sugar/carbs as a condition to do anything.
It’s evil stuff, rotting your skin, teeth, and mind from the inside out.
I had chicken skin at the back sides of my arms (triceps area) for about 40 years (since I can remember ). - I was told it's genetic, because my father's family all had that...
about 3 years ago I decided to give up diary... - milk, cheese (soft and hard, cottage mozzarella etc), yoghurts (even greek)...
it wasn't long before I noticed during shower that my skin became smooth... I was in shock 😲 my skin has NEVER been like that ever... but now it is 😁 I do eat small amounts of hard cheese occasionally and have a greek-kind yoghurt, but still not drinking milk or eating any soft cottage-like cheese...
even the skin on my legs got better, smoother... 😲😁
ps. and milk (if you look at the label) contains a lot of sugar... milk is quite sweet if you try it after a week without drinking... you'll be shocked how sweet the milk tastes...
I watched this today in my lunch break and I was laughing, because you literally described everything I have - and also gave me the solution. Thanks Dr. Berg, you are chaning lives for the better, and you have finally convinced me to basically completely quit carbs.
How is it going?
How’s it going, man?
Extremely informative and very interesting. I've always had blood shot eyes...now I know why...thank you...

If only he had an actual Medical Doctor degree…
@@karagun778 seriously I read that in the disclaimer, no one ever points it out that the "Dr." is basically just a nickname (and also has the advantage of the giving his advice more weight).
This 15 min vid is more informative than the year spent with my dermatologist that only resulted in more prescriptions, more questions and worse skin. Years later I started keto and IF and noticed an almost immediate improvement to my skin. Never once was it suggested for me to consider my eating habits or the nutrient profile of my foods. Amazing content as always, but damn the American health care system is broken.
The medical industry doesn't want you to know how much a healthy diet, especially a whole foods plant based one, can keep you from getting sick. Healthy food is medicine but they keep feeding us and promoting poison in the form of sugar
Michael Cole, WOW! What an understatement your last sentence was!! Since I was a child, I've never had trust in Doctors of any kind. At 67 years old now, Dr. Eric Berg is the ONE Dr. that I trust the most with my health! What I've learned from him over the last 3 1/2 years has saved my life! I'm forever grateful to this man!!
Sounds like the situation I was in throughout my 20's! Like Dr. Berg, I had really bad acne as a kid, throughout my twenties and even going into my thirties too (I'm currently 41). With that, my diet was far from optimal, however I was playing soccer, lifting and snowboarding on a regular basis (still do all of which!). At 20 I was put on Accutane which resulted in a very minor case of dry eyes. I then moved here to Vegas in 2006 (I was 26) and my eyes obviously got worse, along with my acne. I saw a few different Dermatologists and one suggested to put me on Accutane (again) in the fall of 2008. So, I immediately started it and it was by far the worst decision I've made in my life - Being on Accutane for the second time destroyed almost half of the oil glands in my eyes and further dried out my skin. Mind you, living in one of the driest locations in the US doesn't help either, as when I travel to the PNW, East Coast or anywhere out of the desert, I get immediate relief (especially in Seattle and Portland).
Ultimately, if I was informed that all I really needed to do was change my diet back in my twenties, I could have avoided Accutane all together and the consequences of.
yeah so is the Canadian
Thats cuz they can't afford u getting healed...u keep them in biz...yeah I agree..most dr..don't know much other then tylenol or motrin
I'm so amazed how much I have learned from your videos and now I need to start working on my overall health especially eating too much carbohydrates! Thank You Dr. Berg!!
Dr. Berg has the most honest face 😔 his manner in talking is calm precise not preachy & keeps it simple with a dry sense of humour the perfect doctor .
Can I request everyone who finds Dr Berg's videos helpful, to please take a moment to wish him and his family every happiness, success, good health and peace. His information is well researched, presented and works. Many of us have been victims of the medical INDUSTRY and the greedy sychopaths within it. Following the healthy keto diet for the last 6 months has made me a new person. My only regret is i didn't start sooner. Now at 40 I have the clearest, softest, smoothest skin i have ever had in my life and i do nothing to it lol.The glowing complexion was such a nice bonus along with the mental clarity and 50lbs weight loss.

Now I just need to figure out how to halt weight loss as I am at my goal weight. I stopped IF and now eat when i feel the need but I feel very satiated and still loosing weight. I need to stay around 20 carbs a day to control a health issue so upping carbs is not my first choice. Anyone have a suggestion or recipe? Thanks!

@@Drberg who are you if you not Dr.berg
@@hillarybanks1265 hello. Congratulations on your success. I’ve read from many experts that your body knows when you’re at your ideal body weight and will ‘level off’ at that point - with no change in your diet. Dr Ken Berry has several videos on that exact subject and he’s very knowledgeable on this topic.
I had all of this. I cut added sugar, no fast foods, and started serious exercising. It has all cleared up. I am 64. I don't do the keto, but I think you get the point. What he is telling us is good stuff
I cannot do the keto either, cannot get enough fat in me to get healthy ketosis, have breathing difficulty so cannot do a lot of exercise either, however, we can do as much as we can of it eh? Some is better than none.
@@Hypohair Honestly, cutting out sugar in general, fast food, fried food and as much processed food as you can is 95% of the battle. After dealing with about two months worth of joint pain that came out of nowhere, I started an anti-inflammation diet about two weeks ago. Have already lost 10lbs and most of the joint pain is gone.
Your way helps me, too. I just can’t give up grapefruit, apples, and berries. But I have upped veggies and eat lean protein. I eat eggs and whole natural almonds or pistachios but I count them out now. I don’t ever drink my calories. I mainly drink water, green tea, or herbal tea, and sometimes regular tea maybe a coffee once or twice a month or less. It was interesting about cod liver oil. I should probably switch to a different type of milk but I like milk. And oatmeal helps me stay regular. Oh, and measuring my food helps. I don’t know if I have the will power to do keto.
@@Hypohair Try seated chair exercises. I have knee issues. It can be a good work out. There are videos on UA-cam.
Just cutting out fast foods and soda will help a lot. Also, exercise...not the gym type but just parking your car a little farther out in parking lots and walking more keeps joints more mobile too.
I am so in love with the way he explains things. Been binge watching his videos.
Been following you for some time and it is so refreshing to hear how we can be healthier NOT BY TAKING A PILL!
Introduced to colon cleansing phase from a man living in a trailer..... Priceless. Gotta love the journeys we all take on the road to good knowledge.
HAHAHA! No truer words were ever written!! I truly appreciate the laugh!
😂
I have been overweight since I was about 9 years old. Im 34 now and lost my first 54lbs in only 3 months with omad and keto. No one ever helped me like this and I have been looking for over 20 years.
Not to mention, never would have I imagined my lower back pain would also go away. Can walk again!
Thank you!

Wow! That's massive.
@@Drberg hello good sir, I will! My dads blood sugar is also down from 13-15, to 7-9 following same plan. Watched all your videos what a light switch you turned on in my head. Take care and keep it up!
I have noticed a remarkable reduction in back pain and body aches since cutting out sugar, starch and processed food
That's a great outcome
This is probably one of the best videos this guy's made. Super helpful. I appreciate it, much love.
Dr. Berg, I love that you use your own story. Very powerful that you have lived thru this.
I've been on KETO now for six months - lost 25 lbs., brain fog is gone, stamina is up, and I'm able to exercise again. I just had to have professional photos taken for my new website. When I told the photographer that I was 72, she didn't believe it - she remarked upon my skin texture and lack of wrinkles. And the photos look stupendous. Thanks for all these chances to improve my life and health, Dr. Berg!
That's because you're starving. The alert feeling you get is a survival mechanism. If you are hungry in the wild, you need to be active to get food (not sleepy like a lion that's just had a meal). Keto can wreck your insulin response so its important to do it in a cyclical way, so refeed with carbohydrates once a week or so
@@kierenkd That makes sense! I'm always reluctant to follow any regamin or diet. I'd rather just eat well and get a variety of food into my system.

Thanks Dr Berg for your indepth information on health in simple language.
Since,I came across you,I am really on the part to renew my entire body.
The heartbreak I am going through, watching my 38 yo daughter and her partner, becoming overweight, bloated, stomachs distended (especially him) rounded faces, double chins, general ill-looking skin coupled of course with a high carb diet. @@SolveForX yeah ok....
I know the feeling. Ive been with someone for 22 years and she just doesnt understand. She is vapor locked into that 3 meals a day mentality and has crappy food all over the cupboards at her place. Yet has horrible acne loads of prescriptions and is probably 300 lbs nows. Works at the hospital and is duped by the system. Its so sad Ive given up on her :(
One of the best videos Dr. Berg has done - mind blowing! Had all but one of these issues (female) until I began a ketogenic diet. Little by little they all went away - the round "Dutch Boy" face, puffy bloodshot eyes, double chin, miserable acne - every negative trait mentioned. People think I've had plastic surgery because I look so much better now than a decade ago. (Or they think I'm lying about my age.) No, just dropped daily sugars & processed/natural carbs to 30g average total. I rarely count calories unless very hungry. Which is almost never anymore. In 2-1/2 years my weight went from 180 down to 133 & holding.
(Weight is still dropping but much more slowly now. But it's OK. As long as I'm healthy & feel & look it, very content. Just a shame that it took almost 5 decades to learn this, with Dr. Berg's help. A few other wonderful YT practitioners as well. :)
Thanks for this post, you've inspired me to get with the program!
My favorite day was getting out of the car without having to brace and take the strain ...almost left the ground after I had lost 10 kilos- about 22 pounds..., like you I don't count calories just live a low carb lifestyle with the odd high carb day when I feel like it or a celebration occasion.
Japanese car- Nissan Sentra- you step up and out lol
In a mirror universe (check the "many worlds theory" for time travel, or watch the AVENGERS movie) there is a Dr. Berg that is a diabetic or pre-diabetic, has a high carb/low fat diet with lots of processed foods, loves fruit drinks, bread, pasta, pizza, etc., has a puffy face due to high sodium, MSG and many other poisons put in the ingredients, and in his UA-cam channel explains exactly the opposite of what is being said here. At some moment in time there was an event that changed the course of history, but once Dr. Berg travels into his past, he meets his past self and stops that defining situation from happening, so the younger Dr. Berg keeps doing wrong things, and now the improved/"revamped" Doctor tries to recreate that event. Once the new Dr. Berg does this, he then travels back to the present and the original reality from which he left. He arrives a few minutes after embarking on the first time travel trip.
Would love to hear some of the other youtubers who have inspired you and guided you on your wellness journey. Thank you!

I'm going on 3 months of intermittent fasting and a low carb diet and have lost 30 pounds and reversed my fatty liver because of your videos (and Jason's!). For the first time ever I no longer have a double chin. I always thought it was genetics but just goes to show the great benefits of a proper diet. Thank you Dr. Berg!
@@asdghkii holy. I thought the liver needs healthy carbs ? I’m trying to reverse a fatty liver. I’m hearing a lot of different takes on it. Something like the liver needs glycogen , vit e, vit a, copper, choline, . And healthy carbs are energy for the liver etc. everything is confusing me.
Love Sosa a lot of the information out there is out of date, confusion will keep you stuck. I stick to Dr. berg, Dr. jason Fung, and Dr Osborne (grain free diet expert)- then you won't be confused, you'll be empowered and way healthier. Don't bother discussing with family, your doctor or your dietitian, because those three types will criticize what you're doing. Dr. Berry is great, too. As you inform yourself and learn what works for your body, you will trust yourself and choose the mentors that make sense to you. You're the boss of your health, fewer mentors and the right ones is key. Take care.

Thank you, really kelps to understand my situation, a week into keto and intermittent fasting and can already see a difference! My face is thinning out and I'm sleeping through the whole night .. very excited to see further results, will stay off carbs and sugar and recommend to everyone
It's a wonderful place to be, I'm not too far into my journey, but I'm dealing well with it thank God! At my age I decided when I started this journey that very occasionally I will give myself small amounts I've something I would consider a treat, as has been advised by some of the doctors I've watched. So I marked my 3-week point with an open-faced tuna sandwich on the smallest piece in the loaf airiest good pannell Italian bread, I had decided from watching One video that said if you restrict that carbohydrate intake over a very long stretch of time, that slows down the flooding of insulin, therefore you wouldn't have such a huge insulin so I said well I'll make sure I don't consume that whole piece of bread in under a half-hour as was suggested. I had the tiniest bite of the bread with the tuna. It's somewhat was taste satisfying in my expectations from my memory. But was short-lived and that was all I needed before discussed set in as my brain kept telling me all I had learned and believe it or not The taste didn't override the desire to continue to eat to live instead of living to eat. I have had my moments where I reminisced about tasting something, only to have a desire for a nice steak with onions and mushrooms, upon the first bite entering my mouth the memory quickly turns to disgust, and I find myself daydreaming and thinking about the low-carb foods when having cravings now, I truly believe the body will crave what it means when it is running properly. By this I mean I might crave liver and onions if I need iron. I might crave magnesium-rich foods if my electrolytes are off . I am happy that I think I can say I have detox off the sugar, and if I don't allow myself to subconsciously be mentally manipulated by mass behaviors(group settings, functions, events, familiar people places things evoking nostalgia) I can be looking back saying I've been this way for 5, 10, 15 years. Looking forward to that.
As someone who had acne as youngster, red inflamed skin as an adult... I'm horrified that it's probably worse on the inside. Well, that was until I found your vids! Thank you so very very much Dr Berg.
Weight loss update. Started at 83kg 1st Oct and now at 76.8kg. Thank you Dr Berg x
Edit: firstly, thank you to everyone for your comments and I'll share what I did since some have asked. Before I do that, I must share that I am in my early 20s and I am doing keto to just improve my lifestyle since I was considered obese for my BMI.
What I did:
1. I walk every single day for 50 mins to 1 hour.
2. I do intermittent fasting and would usually have my first meal at 2PM and my last meal at 6PM (I like to leave 4 hour gap)
3. I don't snack and as previously stated I skip breakfast.
4. I drink a glass of water 30 mins before each meal and I also put about a tsp of apple cider vinegar in my water.
5. I follow a low carb diet but not strictly ketogenic.
6. I eat plenty of vegetables and with meals I just substitute most carbs with vegetables e.g. rice with cauliflower. Lasagne sheets with zucchini etc...
7. I exercise 4 times a week.
8. I don't obsess over my weight because I know I have lost it.
9. The best advice I've ever heard: get 80% of your work done before your first meal!!! Thank me later for that.
What I've noticed...
I feel healthier, better and more confident. My body looks toned and old clothes are starting to fit. It's been a while since I've had a smile on my face. If anyone has more Qs I'll edit this xx

I recently gained so much weight and I've noticed 3 very distinct changes - my eyes got irritated SO often, my double chin was much bigger and I started snoring so loud!!! And the fact that you addressed these as indicators of too much carb intake and high blood sugar was just so validating for me that I NEED to make a change now. So glad I found your channel!
Probably also there is more fat around your neck and that contributes to snoring/sleep apnoe.
Thank you Dr. Berg!
I can think of about 150 people within my circle of friends who can benefit from this information.
I know that all people I will see from now on I will think about this 😱 I started to eat more keto friendly and made me feel more alive. I have a long way to go but this is just the start.
And your videos are so inspiring to me. Keep them coming 👍
Thank you, Dr Eric Berg, for going straight to the facts, and making the information simple and easy to understand.
As a man who had never had any weight issues, I found myself looking to lose weight after the lockdown. Since sports alone wasn't working tried different diets. Keto not only helped but solved a gut and severe bloating issue that I thought was chronic. I didn't expect that at all, thanks a million.
Hi Dr Eric Berg thank you for your help we met once in Australia I'm enjoying learning and Keto and the changes to my life .
I love this Doctor. His take is science backed and logical.
It's always amazing to see the difference! You mentioned the problems you're struggling with. It's almost impossible to imagine a man looking like you had any previous health problems just because of the diet
You are the best Dr Berg! Thank you so much for this information! Upon applying it to my own face I realize that I have to do better with my keto practice. And further thanks to you, I know how I'm hurting myself. 💖
thank you for sharing this valuable information in such a simple, interesting and effective format! Loved the visuals and simple solutions given. I am definitely recommending this video and excited to watch more on your channel!
Your channel is the best one for health questions. I love it.
Thank you, Dr. Berg for making health and diabetes information so understandable. Sometimes i think my doctors don't know very much about it, because they can't answer my questions and they don't tell me what to expect. Again, Thankyou.
Thank you Dr Berg. You know so well how to educate people. This video will help my young adult kids to understand what is going on with their bodies.
I always wake up with dark circles around my eyes. It’s terrible. I also suffer with SIBO and I have severe constipation. It’s terrible. Glad you give us lots of new stuff.
Iam a proud subscriber when your were 1k subscriber s I felt sad that time your channel was underrated...I knew one day you reach 2 CR...God bless dear Dr. You videos changed my health conditions...you are the second form of God..we people consider Doctors in India... thank you for being there for us.
I've got to say this: the "puffy" Dr. Berg looks cute and someone you'd like to hang out with in a buffet. But the "keto" Dr. Berg looks so handsome and you'd want to exercise with him in the gym. Thank you so much for everything that you do to help everyone on earth to be the best version of themselves. Respect!💯🙏😘
You are so funny LOL
😂😂😂
I love Dr Bergs' kindness in his face and eyes. Beautiful man, inside and out.
Puffy Dr. Berg. Cute... Keto Dr. Berg, Hubba hubba....😃 Thanks for all you do. I notice people with unchecked blood sugar sometimes look swollen. 😞
😂😂😂😂
Wait! Wait! The doctor used to be chunky? Wow, what a difference. Thank you for the truth. It is very encouraging to see how eating correctly can make such a huge difference.
Something I don't promote
Very glad to be of help.
Dr. Berg. Thank you very much for sharing this info. In fact I had the exact same symptoms, reddish eyes, bags underneath the eyes. And tell you what, I was diagnosed with diabetes. Started having low carb foods and feeling much better now 😊
What about depression? Happy for you
This is so helpful as I'm frustrated with doctors claiming they don't know my ailments. This is a simple breakdown.
Glad this helped. Thanks for watching!
Wow that is exactly me!! So I am now in the keto process!! Thank you for being there for us!!
It means so much more to see where you started in your health journey !! Thanks for sharing DR BERG bc it's very relatable and helps to show we can heal ourselves 🐨🌿💛
Wow, there is so much amazing information that I didn't know about. Thanks for all that you do in putting so much helpful information out there for people to help themselves get healthy.
I appreciate your knowledge of health and how we can take care of our bodies through eating correctly.
Really appreciate this, suffered adult acne and never why. Spent so much money on expensive skincare, but now I understand the causes. Thank you so much dr! 😊
This is insightful and I can relate to everything you're saying. I've had a lot of trauma and loss the last 6 years and its effected my life, lifestyle and eating habits. Prior to this, I was a wellness consultant for 16 years and studied Iridology with Dr Jensens daughter and two other well known holistic practitioners. I feel like that was a lifetime ago and now I am like one of the clients I use see. I hope I can get back to the heathy lifestyle I had before or better. Anyway, my sister is following your program and that's how I found your channel. She's doing intermittent fasting.
I wish I could attach my before and after pictures 4 months apart… That would be exact description without words! Thank You Dr. Berg!!! ❤
Thank you Dr Berg, you're videos are very informative and I believe healthy!
Wow 🤩 Amazing transformation doc! 💯!! I have always been able to look at someones face and see they’re not eating/drinking well. I took a part time job at a convenience store a couple months ago, y’all, it absolutely sickening how some people eat and treat themselves. 🥺
I always wondered about a lot of these things and no doctors seemed to notice (dealing with alopecia I saw a *lot* of doctors as a child). Thank you Dr. Berg for sharing this, it’s greatly appreciated.
notice what?
I’ve concluded I need more zinc 😄 I have acne at 42 and I’m a carb junkie! thanks dr berg!
Easily one of the best videos i have seen. This video is such a revelation...of the things we've struggled to know all our lives. Thank you doctor, for sharing.
Glad you like the video. Thanks for watching!
Thank's Dr Berg for the true treatment that you share! Helps a lot 🙏❤️
Dr. Eric Berg, may God continue to bless you and your family. Thank you for your willingness to share your years of hard work and experience, and for these well presented, easily understandable videos. Your channel is a go-to for me. I've successfully applied many of the corrections you've educated me on. Truly outstanding!
This video is one of the most helpful that you've produced, Doc! SO much very helpful information in one spot! I wish that my sons and daughters-in-law would consider dumping their constant carb eating and snacking. All of them are very overweight! They have seen my memory and brain function return to almost normal, yet they swear that they could never change their ways of eating. It's true that I was HIGHLY motivated to improve and stay independent. Sir, you've no idea how much I appreciate all that you share that has made such a difference in my life!! May God mightily bless you for doing all of the research and sharing with all of us! You are a true blessing to those of us who are searching for answers!!
Your videos have helped me fit missing pieces to the puzzle of fitness, I am grateful!
Wow, I am hooked on this content. My face is showing the junk that I am eating. I am going Keto and fasting from now on. Amazing.
Wishing you Dr. Berg and your family best of health. Thank you Dr. Berg for your informative and educational video. I will watch it again tomorrow and make a note so I can always look at it when I need to. Have fantastic Merry Christmas with your family
For years I had all the problems you describe and was very overweight. Two years ago I had a very serious illness caused by a burst appendix that had no symptoms. The resulting infections required major abdominal surgeries and many months with an iliostomy bag and healing intestines. This caused me to lose 75 pounds, but not in a healthy way, but lack of nutrition. It literally starved off. Now I am well and determined to nourish myself properly and also keep the weight off. I have been following a keto diet for 6 months and have never felt better. My newly healed gut functions like a new baby's, with no bloating, constipation or digestive problems. I feel great, I love the food, and have stayed thin. The things you describe in this video are all gone except the dry skin patches. I just turned 70 and look forward to a long, healthy life. Thank you so much for helping me understand how to have one.
I just read this for the first time. You must’ve been a fly on the wall today. You just described me and my whole situation. I’m trying not to panic.
Thanks, been living in the dark most of my life. Keep up the good work
Love the piece about the blood shot eyes. Our four year old had super blood shot eyes and has struggled with bad skin issues on his legs and bottom, and I knew it was his liver. Even though we eat very "clean" we lived in a townhome where we found out we had three types of toxic mold. Since moving and giving him certain herbs/roots/fungi, and adding different foods to his diet, his eyes have become so much clearer! It's amazing how much the outside of our appearance can show about the toxic load out organ systems are dealing with. Thank you for another great video!
That happened to me as well...I suffered from mold toxicity. My skin hasn't completely recovered either. What types of herbs, etc. did you take to help heal the body from this? Thanks
@@cest_what What effects did the mould toxicity have on you & your skin?
Hey, what type of herbs have you used to clear the red eyes?
Wow!!! So glad you were able to help your boy!!!!!
Maybe he's smoking to much dope.
I've been following you for years and always learn something new. You turned my health around and I look and feel so good, now. "Thank you" doesn't seem enough.
I am a pharmacist by profession and I m regular follower of u and a big fan from Pakistan.. and very much impressed..u are doing a great job..excellent work done by u..and I learnt a lot from u..and Im experiencing benefits of intermittent fasting and kesto..it's amazing..
I really apreciate your work and help! Thank you very much Dr Berg, I’m improving my health situation thanks to your advice ❤ God bless you 🙏
Dr. Berg, you come across as a genuine crusader for everyone's health. I really like you!
Seeing Dr. Eric Berg talking with his own personal experience makes this video 10x more personal and educating, thanks for sharing
Most welcome!
The way you just described me! I’m going to work on this asap! Thank you doc!
Thank you, I'm excited to go look at this playlist! I have seen a few of your videos, but not the basic dietary ones. I have Hashimoto's and had good results with an autoimmune paleo diet for several years, but I got off track when I became reactive to walnuts and almonds. So many AIP recipes use almond milk or almond flour! I also couldn't afford to continue the mountain of supplements I was on. So I look forward to learning more and making some adjustments!
Thanks for all that you do and the information you give, Dr. Berg. I started 2021 with a 4-day water fast (it was rough!) to kick-start my keto journey. A few months later, I did a 5-day water fast with zero issues. I learned some keto recipes and adjusted my grocery lists accordingly. I lost a lot of weight this year and am now exactly where I want to be, but that was never the point, just a happy side-effect! So many feel-good moments this year, problems that I didn't even know I had - disappearing over the weeks and months. Now that I'm comfortable with fasting and keto, next year will be more physical activity combined with healthy keto. And, of course, watching your daily videos to make sure I'm up-to-date on all your latest content! I don't know how many times I've started my coffee in the AM (with monkfruit, stevia, and a bit of cream!) and saw a video that was 100% applicable to me. Just crazy good timing, crazy good content, from a crazy good doc.
Your before and after pics remind me of myself. I recently came across a photo from about 3 years ago. I was shocked. My face was so puffy. I did not look well. Then in Jan 2019 because of a yet undiagnosed health problem, I went to an acupunturist who had me quit all sugar, cut back my alcohol consumption, and go vegetarian/vegan, which I did for a year. My health problem was diagnosed later that year by a Chemical Allergy Patch test. Though I lost quite a bit of weight, I felt being vegetarian was not the healthiest thing for me. So I began healthy keto in 2020. I turn 66 in a couple of weeks, but I look much better now than I did a few years ago.
'Physician, heal thyself' .....I like how you're a great example of actually doing this 🙂
Thank you for this information! I've suffered with severe red, irritated eye problems for years with only minimal relief using eye drops. Additionally dealing with about 4 out of the 7 signs in the list! Thank you for this channel. I'm learning a lot!
love dr berg videos
I had it where they were almost swollen SHUT.
Have an ophthalmologist examine your eyes.
Dr. Berg, This has to be your best video for sure! I been noticing all the vegetable oil in just about everything, shocked that canola oil was in wheat thin cracks! I also need to start making my own salad dressing! I have enjoyed and learned something, for every one of your videos! Thanks
I so appreciate your desire to inform and help us turn our health around. All the best to you and your family Dr. Berg.
Thanks, iso wish I could send this video to my teenage self! I also had horrible acne and excessively oily skin no matter how often I washed my face and hair. Since I was thin, I mistakenly thought I could eat all the carbs I wanted. As I got over 40 and my metabolism slowed way down, I got the very dry eyes, the dry flaky patches between my eyebrows, etc. After I turned about 55, I was pre-diabetic; I probably had been for many years before it was finally diagnosed. Fortunately, going on a Keto diet and Intermittent Fasting fixed that and helped me lose weight as well. My problem is that a long un-diagnosed gluten sensitivity and leaky gut caused me to develop multiple food sensitivities and some of the foods typically found in a Keto diet, like butter, cream and eggs are now no-no’s for me. 😢
You are getting younger by the day and helping lots of other people get younger by the day too! Lots of love to you Dr. Berg!
I can't tell you how much you have helped me on my health journey! Your videos have kept me on track. I'm down 44lbs, and have about 60 to go; but my glucose and A1c are on their way to normal. As Gomer Pyle would say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"
This is very on point! I watched my facial features change over the years as my insulin resistance, adrenal and thyroid issues leaped outta bounds! I used to have a neck before that too. 😒
WOW
You've come a long way babe'
Health is the new wealth.
Thank you Dr Berg for all your sage advice and wisdom. My husband and I are always watching and listening to you. God bless you. ✨🙏
