Now, of course, this list could be quite long and there are probably foods higher in nutrients I could have added. However, I wanted to take into consideration what people have access to as well as what they will eat on the regular basis::))

@Dr Eric Berg DC, please note that salmon must be wild cauth, the salmon from farms are highly toxic, even worse than commercial hamburgers, the toxines come from the pellets they feed the salmon.
A question i have about the vitamine K2 in sauwerkraut, how is that possible for a fat-soluble vitamin? As there is no fat in sauwerkraut? Or?

Keto diet has changed my life!! I was 500lb 3 weeks ago.. After years of struggling with depression and overeating, I finally made the switch.. I educated myself on diet and nutrition, and started grinding.. Now 3 weeks later, I’ve dropped 47lb, and am down to 452lb already.. Watch this space! 😊💪

    1.) Sauerkraut
    2.) Arugula
3.) Salmon: screen showed Troller point salmon
4.) Cod liver 1/2 can per day or at least cod liver oil: screen showed iCan Icelandic cod liver
5.) Hamburger, organic, grass fed, no buns
    6.) Pecans
7.) Extra virgin olive oil: Laudemio is the kind Dr. Berg showed on the screen. It was hard to see because of the lighting, but I found it.
Hope this helps, let me know if I forgot any details. The list is in the description with more depth, but not all the brands were mentioned there. Have a great day and long, happy, healthy life 💕

The main reason why I have huge respect for you, Dr. Berg, is not just for the clarity of your presentations, but on account of your honesty, modesty and sincerity in being able to admit that you have sometimes changed your opinion in the light of scientific evidence - the mark of a true scientist. Too many modern 'experts' will never admit that their opinions were wide of the mark.
The 'knowledge' about saturated fats is a case in point. More scientists and health professionals need to develop the honesty, modesty and sincerity which you possess.

I went on the 18:6 intermittent fasting like Dr Berg recommended. I eat 12-6pm and on weekends I let my self eat carb friendly foods. My drink is water or seltzer. I’m keeping under 50g of carbs a day and going to the gym 40 mins treadmill everyday and 30 mins lifting 3 times a week.
Results: hunger is gone, my last sugar reading was 93 (down from 360) my BP is 119/81 and I feel great. 57 years old and swear by the IF. Thank you Dr Berg I follow all your videos and my doctor is so proud of me. Also I started at 315 pounds a month ago and lost 9 pounds my first month.

It won't take long, I have been experiment with good eating habits, intermittent fasting for so many years testing my body and changing things around. The reason is I set different goals every time I make progress on something and when I hit plateau so I switch and try something else.
Intermittent is magical I see results in a month time. That also depends on your goals. Just dare to try it and see the results for yourself, u don't have to do it cold turkey just drop everything.
You can cut small portion a week, for example if you eat bread 3 times a day cut it to two times a day for the first few weeks.

Immediately went cold Turkey cut out all sugar, starchy carbs, breads, processed foods and started power walking everyday. First day I could barely do 10-15 minutes and wheezed and panted the whole way. It’s Sunday, Jan 22nd and just completed an almost 4 mile walk for 70 minutes straight, no breaks, and my breathing is now in a steady rhythm. My weight was down to 243 lbs. other day but did gain 2 lbs. more back, probably in some muscle and fluctuating water weight. Arugula is a vegetable that can grow even in the fall and early spring. It actually grows better when it is a little cooler and it can be grown in a pot and brought indoors. I just planted some recently and the seed package said that you can get a harvest in 35 to 40 days. It is very expensive at the store. So, consider getting on the internet and ordering some heirloom seeds and growing your own arugula.

When I started out in the emergency department as a registered nurse many years ago, nutrition was a word that was hardly ever mentioned. Unproven hypotheses were thrown around like they were fact...LDLs were bad, eggs were bad, essential hypertension was hypertension with an unknown cause which had to be fixed with medications, taking statins were a necessity if you had high cholesterol and you just had to deal with the side effects, and on and on. Now that I have been retired for a few years I find that I know more now as to how important nutrition is with virtually every aspect of one's health. In a nutshell what I have learned is this... a few simple dietary changes coupled with a desire to better one's health can lead to drastic improvements in one's life.

They don't acknowledge the hormones involved in your body and shedding weight. Losing weight is not one size fits all. Some doctors get into fat shaming.

We have GMO foods that are toxic for us but the majority of people don’t know they are eating toxins! I’d stay away from any corn products like corn syrup & soybean products & places that use soybean or canola oil, all these are toxins for our body & for our animals! Don’t buy anything with these toxins, maybe this would get their attention by affecting their financial bottom line. 🙏🏼

After 4 years of eating dirty, lazy keto, I am now following a OMAD healthy version. I found that this one meal a day is not hard because I am not hungry, but I cannot eat all the foods that I think I should for max nutrients in just one meal. Good thing about that is now I am willing to spend more to buy better quality because I can eat less of it to get even more nutrients into that one meal. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Dear, Dr. Berg! I wanted to reach out and say a huge thank you for all of your work and contribution to our health and happiness! I've been watching your channel for a couple of weeks now and it has changed my life! After learning about my body type (ovary) and reading about all the signs and information, I realised that I am probably insulin resistant and have a fatty liver and might be moving towards being pre-diabetic. I'm 35 and have been having health issues for a couple of years which the doctors have not been able to diagnose or figure out (severely deficient in d-vitam, low on white blood cells, chest pains, severe fatigue, weakness, brain fog, etc). After learning all of this information through your channel, I first did a 3-day water fast and after that have been on intermittent fasting and keto together. I completely changed my eating habits, switched to organic food and also started a small garden to grow my own organic food. I have so much energy and have not felt that motivated and healthy in a very long time. I wake up rested and happy. I'm deeply grateful for that and for all of your work and the free amazing material you are putting out to educate us! It's wonderful and so important! Thank you so much!!

I was 255 January 1st. I’m 207 today. I can attribute this to the following:
    1. Initial 1 week detox. 3 days only raw vegetables and water. 2 days bulk fiber supplement, and 2 days strict fast with only 2 large glasses of warm water and baking soda to flush out my colon.
    2. Taking a supplement called “interphase plus” which broke down biofilms and allowed my body to rid itself of bad bacteria and restore intestinal flora balance.
    3. Taking berberine to improve my gastric enzyme balance and overall digestive health.
    4. Cutting out sugar and processed foods.
    5. Eating once a day in the afternoon.
    6. 30 mins of cardio a day gradually increasing in intensity. 5-6 days a week.
    7. Building up to 30-45 mins of weight training a day 3 times a week.
    8. Getting a girlfriend who keeps me on my toes 24 hrs a day.

@@Drberg Dr. Berg, according to Dr.Steven Gundry, there is a sugar molecule in beef, lamb & pork, regardless of how it is raised, that our bodies (or the bodies of many of us) form antibodies against. And he says the molecules attach to our arteries, where they are attacked by these antibodies, causing inflammation. And he suggested that it may actually be that sugar molecule, rather than saturated fats & cholesterol, that has been responsible for the noticeable associations between red meat & cardiovascular disease & events over the years.
And even Drs. Longo & Sinclair, in their many years of research on longevity, have singled red meat out as important to eliminate. In fact, while some of the "blue zones" do eat limited amounts of seafood & even poultry, none eat red meat. And so, for these reasons, I was surprised to see hamburger on this list, even despite it's nutrient value.
Pls know I have only the utmost respect & appreciation for & trust in you and your information, and hope, therefore, that at some point you can do a video (or even respond here) addressing this important concern. 19:15 A quick tip I learned from an olive grower/mill: When selecting oils, look at the country codes & select those with only *_1_* country listed. Typical codes: ES = Spain, TU = Tunisia, &c. There are other factors to consider; however, this is a _quick_ glance check. The olive oil market has a lot of sketchy goings-on, just as with any other commodity market, & a lot of mixing ("blending") occurs for various reasons. Minimizing the number of sources increases the _probability_ of higher quality. A distant analog is single-malt vs. blended whiskeys, but those have other reasons for their mixing.

Since I've been watching your videos, and changed my diet to a healthy one, (not keto yet, but I'm considering it) these are the symptoms I was having issues with that are now gone.
    1) IBS (including diarrhea)
    2) no buildup of backed up phlegm (it's gone)
    3) More energy
    4) better mood (including depression) and quicker cognitive ability
    5) LESS ANXIETY!! (I've battled this for a long long time)
    6) HEART PALPITATIONS (my heart rate is slower, and I don't experience palpitations as frequently)
I was mostly consuming fast food, but now I focus mainly on vegetables and leafy greens, cutting as much sugar out as possible, in addition with bread or pasta. Turns out, a lot of these conditions I have been experiencing, I believe, was just due to poor nutrition. I'm 34 yrs old.

For years I thought I had IBS, then I had a light bulb moment,
I drank and awful lot of Diet Coke, two litres in a day wasn’t uncommon, yes I know it’s not beneficial to good health but I don’t drink alcohol or smoke, the artificial sweetener in the Diet Coke is a form or laxative, this combined with the sweeteners in my beverages just gave me all sorts of digestive results that required the utmost urgency!!!! Sometimes with dire consequences
I stopped drinking the coke and within a week my self induced IBS disappeared

Some really good points on this list. Thanks for the video! A few notes:
    1. We eat a can of cod liver a week - it's available in all grocery stores in Denmark. I like a tomato stew with sardines, as it completely hides the taste and texture and the large amounts of VitD and K2 work amazingly to absorb all that calcium in the sardines.
    2. Hamburger is fantastic for all those reasons - PLUS it is usually a mix of all the 'cheap low quality' parts of the animal (which often is nutritionally very high quality). Lots of collagen-rich parts in hamburger all ground up for your convenience - indeed much better nutritionally than steak (although I like the taste and texture of steak better).

We can't get sauerkraut in the Philippines (no market for it), but with the large population of Koreans living here, there's Korean kimchi in stores everywhere. It's also made of fermented cabbage. Besides that it has Korean spices, and sometimes some other fermented vegetables in it. I've made Reuben sandwiches with it: pastrami, corned beef, Swiss cheese (Emmental), lettuce and mustard, which makes a Reuben sandwich with a Korean twist, and it's delicious, though different. But nutrition-wise, can Korean kimchi serve as a substitute for cabbage?

Something Dr. Berg forgot to mention in this video, is that when you buy sauerkraut on the unrefrigerated shelf in the grocery store when it's in a can or glass jar, it's pasteurized 100% of the time. The purpose of the pasteurization is to kill all bacteria so that it can be shelf-stable and be transported and sit on the shelf forever... killing all the bacteria, is good for long-term storage, but it's bad for getting the product you want because it kills all the good bacteria, it kills the probiotics. If you're going to bother to buy and eat sauerkraut, you might as well get the probiotic benefits too, so don't buy the store-bought pasteurized stuff. Ideally make your own, it tastes way better than the store-bought stuff, and is full of more probiotics than any expensive pill will give you.

check out Ivermectin, find the reports of its effect in utter Pradesh for example and Africa where big pharma has less influence. don't b put off by naysayers. you'll likely hv to buy your own like I did, from India, it can b pricey but I found it for $100 per 100 12mg tabs, they're in my cupboard. they might hv saved my 85yr old dad's life but the quacks here wouldn't let him continue with it. Please try it, Dr. Berg ❤🇩🇲

Wow! I've been watching your videos all day! I am so pumped to do this. I think the hardest for me will be the snacking after dinner to bedtime but I'll do it if I have to go to bed at 7pm, lol. THANK YOU for explaining this at a level that is so easy to understand. I'm going to do the 12-6 plan at first. I am over weight, have diabetes but I've kept my A1C at about 6.2 , I have osteoarthritis and am a cancer survivor. The health benefits are phenomenal and I wish I had heard of you sooner. Not sure about the sauerkraut and cod liver but I will try it. Again, thank you and God bless you for helping people with their health.

snacking is an emotional event, disconnected from hunger, that I am just starting to understand as a substitute for healthier habits. At the end of the day you (we-all) need to process and drain the day's emotional tension...carbs give us a pleasant, immediate "high" that is addictive. "Connection" to oneself, to one's Higher Power, and to trusted relationships helps us to identify and process the tensions of the day and formulate plans to actually minimize/resolve them. I highly recommend you check out the playlists of Dr Cywes, the carb addiction doc. God bless ❤️🙏❤️

Good morning! I'm happily fasting until 3pm. In th meantime, have a great recipe I made up, for keto broccoli cheese soup! It's so delicious!! Try this if you want. It's really really delicious and good for you! 1/2 a bag brussel sprouts, washed and sliced. 1/2 cabbage head, sliced... An onion, 3 cloves garlic.. half a stick butter. Chop onion, sautee in butter, add garlic. Cook until onions are translucent. Add celery to your liking. Maybe 1/2 cup? Sliced. Then add the Brussels, cabbage. Season with a Tiny bit of salt, pepper, basil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, add 1/4 cup heavy cream, and a half stick of cream cheese, a little vegetable broth ( eye it) . Grated fresh ginger, about a tablespoon... Cook until veggies are tender Blend well until smooth, set aside.
Then, chop up your broccoli finely. Florettes and stalk. But that into the soup pot with olive oil, a little vegetable or chicken broth, steam it for 7 minutes. Add 1/4 cup heavy cream, the other half of the cream cheese... The puree... Add it all in the pot,, stirring until well blended. Cook for 5 minutes on 3 setting.. then add 3 cups extra sharp cheddar. Stir well.. serve. 😋
    Bon appetit! 😘
