HOW TO GET CALVES LIKE GREALISH | 20 Minute Lower Bodyweight Workout For Footballers

- Yes people, what is going on! In this video I will demonstrate and show you a 20-minute bodyweight leg workout that you can do to improve your lower body strength. Having strong legs is essential for football performance. Whether that is turning, twisting, sprinting or jumping, the stronger your legs are the more effectively and efficiently you will be able to carry out these movements. Also, having stronger legs will minimize the risk of injury. Look to perform the leg workout in this video around 2 times a week.

Thanks so much for this! Quite clean, effective and informative video.
All, please do some warm-up before doing this for 20 straight minutes. All of these work-outs are using much of knees so please do take account of caring knees. Don't do overwork all at once as you can increase bit by bit. Saying this, you don't have to do it everyday ; We need time for muscles to recover for growing up. Injury while doing workout is the worst enemy (than accident).
And after this, also use form roller or tennis ball to smoothen muscles for tomorrow. :)

Cor mate, the DOMs the next day must be something. I'm used to lifting weights and I'm tempted to give this a go, but cardio is NOT my strong suit, so it'll be interesting to see how many minutes in before I want to throw in the towel!

How many times a week do you recommend doing this for footballers (cuz I do explosive training , agility and speed training , core training as well)
make sure to not do it all the time. maybe like twice a week but if you feel like u wanna do more 3 times a week

@@karam_hd2455 i tried rest days and i saw lesser results (yeah its weird but it did happen) so i choose doing it everyday , you may as well take rest if you are sore(sore as in completely sore and unable to walk)

Bro when I do first exercise I feel knock in the knee is it normal or dangerous
Definitely shouldn't be doing it if it is causing any aggravation to your knee! Look to do a different exercise that doesn't cause pain to your knee. Also if your knee is a problem, look to seek the advice of a physio.

there were a lot more squat exercises than calf so it should be normal to feel it in ur thighs more than calves

@@claudiaciobotaru1269 today was my first day and I did it after my intense football training , I couldnt complete the whole vid and only did half of it with longer rest period, is this normal for the first day or I should have done better
It's perfectly normal not to be able to complete the entire workout on your first day, especially after an intense soccer workout. It's important to listen to your body and go out with your rest days and a healthy diet with lots of protein and plenty of rest.
Consistency is the key to success 🔝
This is a quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves workout. Not just a calves workout.
