Did you ever make the video on the planting medium?

.. I just learned that the plant is from a little while ago, more like in 1760, and since it is a naturally climbing plant I will try give it a wodden board to climb, as the higher it climbs the bigger the leafs.. My Micans is in a soil mix of coco coir, perlite, worm casting and orchid bark, and it work wonders.. I fertilize with fish emultion and seaweed..

Oh wow I didn't know it was that old! And that's a great idea - I've seen some people get massive leaves from allowing their micans to climb ☺️

@@GetPlantyWithIt I was as surprised as you 🤗 although my sweet micans is just a baby still, I will enjoy to see her climb the wodden board.. You should give it a try ☺️

I’m excited to see this video because I just got a Mican and it’s one long vine too!! When I asked the seller about this plant, she said if I’m successful with Pothos, I’d be successful with the Mican, and your advice sounds exactly like how I care for my Pothos!
Did you sacrifice a leaf on the bottom of the vine you have in the bottle? I did with mine and it killed me to remove it. Fortunately, I found a leaf that had a little rip in it and some water stains so I chose that one to cut and sacrifice! 😂🙈 I was wondering if I should cut some into single leaves and make it fuller quicker? What do you think? I would cut it so it would look like an upside down “T”- the node would be at the intersection of the two lines, and the part of the “T” that’s straight across would be about a quarter inch of vine on each side of the node, and that whole thing would go in water with the leaf sticking out on top. Does that make sense and sound correct?
The vine is so pretty that I don’t want to chop it, but at the same time it looks silly to have a pot full of dirt with a couple vines coming out of it!
Anyway, let me know what you think about what I described and if I should do a bunch of single leaf cuttings.
    Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴🥰

Yay! If there's not enough stem on the bottom you may have to sacrifice a leaf or two, but it will be worth it. I ended up making mine into a bunch of single leaf cuttings! It's sad to cut up a long vine, but they grow super quickly and it will be nice to have a bunch of different growth points. And yes, the way you're cutting sounds correct to me!

I put mine on a coco coir pole and it’s just been thriving! I just keep it in a north facing window area and basically don’t touch it 😅
