Thank you! This plant is so special! It’s amazing how it has grown for me and I can’t wait to see it get larger! I hope you can find a micans where you are! It’s an amazing plant and probably my favorite besides my monsteras! 😍
Thank you for this! you uploaded this video just in time! My micans was just starting to outgrow its extremely tall moss pole and I was afraid of chopping it back in fear of growing juvenile leaves again.
I was scared too! But I think the one I snapped pushed me to cut it since the leaf it grew was just as big almost! I thought it was going to grow smaller but even if it does downsize some it should push bigger growth again soon! ☺️
Ohhh so pretty! Loved this video so informative...I hope to have bigger leaves on my mican one day....going to have to put it on a moss pole....thank you so much for sharing have an amazing week!💙💙
Thank you! More than happy to share! ☺️ they climb pretty easily! If you decide to do one I think you’ll love it! Give them a little time to get going and you should see bigger leaves in no time. They appreciate good light 🥰
Hi Melissa, love your name BTW 😉, I just got a single leaf cutting of a Mican’s and it’s rooting at the moment. I’m watching lots of videos on care and rooting, etc. What lighting are you giving your Mican’s? Most of what I’m seeing, the plant is sun-stressed and has a beautiful bronze color but that’s not what I want. I want the deep velvety green that you have…
Gorgeous! I love micans, and it's so great to grow on a pole! I've had the same trouble with mine though, growing it back down after reaching the top. I'm happy about every node that I get to root into the moss pole, but always afraid I'm gonna snap the next leaf like it's happened before 😅 Do you already know how you want to proceed with your micans poles in the future if I may ask? I'm still not sure what the best solution for my space would be 🙈 So when old vines on your first pole put out new growth, will you try training it down again or chop once it reaches the top?
Hi Melissa, when you started your micans on a pole, were the leaves pretty small or did you start off with a bigger vine? Just wondering what would give the plant the best chance to size up.
Starting them smaller helps them attach and mature faster. I actually put this same micans on a pole in my old moss pole tutorial on my channel. It’s been over a year ago now so crazy!
Wow, another successful procedure from the Plantologist extraordinaire. Your new pole looks great. First you are an artist, then a plantologist then a curator so what’s next? How about time traveler so you can jump ahead to see what your creation will look like in the future. I’m sure it’s destined for large leaves. Great job, great video and thanks again. I very much like your videos.
Thank you!! You’re too kind! I hope it will take off in a couple months! I’ll be excited to see how it grows for me! The larger leaves are so beautiful ☺️🥰
My micans didn't really size up on a pole. I'm so bummed! It didn't get a lot of sun so that may have something to do with it. But I want to try again!
Definitely try again! They take a good while to start climbing maybe 6 months for mine to start to increase. They will appreciate the light most definitely 😊
Beautiful plant! New to the channel so sorry if this is a common/dumb question but how are you keeping your moss pole moist? moss poles always seem so high maintenance so keep wet
Thank you! I made a care video recently for moss poles but I am using a new method to water since the video. It’s with watering globes! It’s honestly such a time saver and I don’t have to move them. I show it on my Instagram but it’s so easy to keep them moist this way. I still let them dry out because I think it’s important for airflow but I don’t let them go dry for too long to protect the roots inside 💚
Thank you! They definitely size up nicely once they get something to climb on. It takes them a little bit of time to get started growing but give them lots of light and they’ll be growing well for you! ☺️
Woah you’re Micans are divine!🥹🥰
I really love indoors plants 🪴, I have plants but they are bonsai jade plants, thanks for the video..

Thank you! It’ll get there!!🥰🙌🏼
Your large micans leaves are goals! I personally would have just repotted them back into the base of the original pole to really fill out the gaps
All your plants are so beautiful!

Where did you get your moss pole, I only find the plastic ones.

Wow your micans leaves are huge and healthy. Mine don't grow and the leaves are small. 😏
Thank you! They definitely size up nicely once they get something to climb on. It takes them a little bit of time to get started growing but give them lots of light and they’ll be growing well for you! ☺️
😍
I like micans hanging 😅
