I feel the same. It is just so funny to me how hanging plants look so beautiful, until they don't cause they need some well deserved maintenance 😅. It truly is like getting a fresh haircut! :)
"Everything you could wish for maybe except for variegation." Well, I'm usually not a fan of variegation, so I guess that in my case it really has everything you could wish for 😁 Yours looks lovely in its new spot 😍
Then it is the perfect plant in your case, do you have one in your collection currently? I'm not sure it is as accesible in every country. Greetings from germany 👋😊
@@LeafyLuster Yes I do have one and I love it. Such beautiful colours 😍 I'm actually thinking of propagating it. Thank you ☺ Greetings from Stockholm, Sweden 😀
Your right Smeralda, the only thing better than Micans is big leaf Micans, am I right?! 😅I bet a mosspole works even better than the wooden beams in my house 😂. I often struggle to keep the moss poles moist though. That's why I haven't tried it yet. See u in the next one 👋
Oh no that's too bad. How do you propagate yours? I don't have any issues with simple water propagation and then a transfer into soil. If I might suggest, maybe you can try to first take 1 cutting and root that in water. Then transfer to your selfmade pon mix. It probably also works directly in pon. I sometimes propagate in Perlite/semi hydro. It tends to work really well with most plants. Just give it a try, I'm sure you got this! 💪
Your outfit and make up kind of match your micans! 🌿🎀 It's so pretty. A very easy plant although mine doesnt seem to grow very quickly. Yours had such a good glow up though! Love the end clips
Oh thank you Tessa, it actually wasn't even intentional but now that you said it, I can't unsee it anymore! Love it though.😁 I have the feeling once the plant settles in to a pot/space in your home it starts growing really fast. I also heard it is quite a heavy feeder and needs a lot of fertilizer. I fertilize every 3 weeks-ish ^^.
@@LeafyLuster I repotted it with a mosspole last weekend maybe that helps it grow faster and grow bigger leaves 🤭 I'm going to start fertilizing more often, thanks for the tip❤️
I love the song at the end with the sun on your mican's leaves...My origanal micans was a cutting that still struggles to this day.....but.....I did get 2 new micans this summer....both are in like 4inch pots and both looking pretty :) so it will be nice to see how your micans likes being by that big window....do you find they like bright light? Please update us in a couple months how it likes its new home! Your cuttings will sell in no time :) we have a cooler foggy day today...love from MN
Hi Justina, thank you for all the kind words. I liked the little montage at the end as well, had a lot of fun filming and editing. The window is actually east facing so it's bright in the morning and then not as bright for the rest of the day. So far the plant looks quite happy there. I will update you in a few months :). I find they actually don't need that much light. Before I had them pretty dark and the plant was growing just as well! I wish you luck with your 2 new micans, I bet they will grow much better 😉.
That makes us two. The plant looks better every day as it is settleing into it's new home. Yeah it's tough, I'm already looking forward to some cooler weather and maybe some rain would be nice ^^. Would make plant chores way less sweaty too! 😂
Aww thank you Ingrid 🥰, I was really feeling myself that day, I guess it shows 😅. Maybe your Micans just needs to settle in then, once it regrows some roots it'll probably catch up in growing speed. I'm sure you got this! I had the same issue in the begining since mine came with cold damage and completely rotten leaves and roots ^^. Maybe take a few cuttings just to be sure you can save some of it. 😅
I adore Mican's, she is so soft & lovely. That sun stress coloring is to die for!. I would love to purchase a few propagations from you, once your ready. Shall I e-mail you in a few weeks?
Agree with everything you said Nancy. Micans is just the best trailing plant, unfortunately I can only sell/ship to the EU since I live in Germany. I appreciate your support nonetheless.🥰 Thank you for stopping by & see u soon 😊
Oh no, that sucks Carmen 🙈 Haha I don't know how they would ship that far :D:D Maybe try some spanish private sellers? or some Instagram plant parents?
I'll probably pot them up as 5 plants in a pot & then sell most of them. Keep some for myself or friends and family as well. Plants always make for a great gift 😊. Let's hope I can find a new home for all of them eventually.
micans was also my first if not second online plant purchase😭❤️ and it is indeed still a favorite of mine, such a cool and pretty plant

Wow, she looks great!! The Micans is still one of my favorites too!
Thank you for sharing! 💜💚🪴🌵
Thank you for watching Sharon! I'm glad you liked the video, but honestly what is not to be liked about Ph. Micans. 😊💚
Just wooooooowwww. Like for real wow, stunning result🔥🔥
Awwww thank you dear. I love it too. Each morning the sun lights up the leaves, it instantly makes me so happy 🥰.
Can't beat a Philodendron Micans! One of the best trailing plants! I would also love to try and grow one in a moss pole for sure. 😉

I wish mine got out of control too. But it's just curling up and dying 😔
I would be so glad to have this problem. Micans are so hard to propagate! I want to try putting them in homemade PON and too nervous to try.

@@LeafyLuster I stuck my first successful bunch in Fluval Stratum. Nothing else worked.

Love your Micans! Especially after repotting 😍 sooo lush! We're in the same heat wave here in The Netherlands. Horrible :(

Love your outfit! so cute! I bought a micans in january of this year, and it still has barely grown... Think I killed all the roots in the beginning 😬

Wise choice 👌
My Micans also needs a haircut 😅
The always do ^^. I don't know why but I always ignore my trailing plants until it's way out of control 😁.
Going to be way off since it's been a while, but I'd guess 147 cuttings? 😂
Edit: I knew I should have gone higher!
😁😁😁 Love the edit. But honestly not even bad 🎉. I was so surprised it was that many cuttings in the end.
Will you sell all cuttings? You could earn much money from them lmao))
