- Hi all,
I meant to post this yesterday and got so busy I forgot. It's really been about 19 months. Wow.
Here's a very short video update for you. It's a bit of a bummer; not much progress at all. It feels like maybe it's even gotten a little bigger. :(
My tape has expired. So I folded and ordered the stronger Japanese tape; hope it gets here quickly.

I really hope which ever tape you're going to order works for you and your keloid just go away completely and never comes back.
You're the only person on UA-cam who is sharing your progress with people otherwise some are just making videos for views only.
And i really wish that these tapes are easily available in all countries and works for everyone who are struggling with keloids and hypertrophic scars.

I ordered the Eclar plaster and have been using it for about a week now. Hopefully it helps! Thank you for telling us about it and showing us that there is hope for us that suffer from keloids
Yay!! Of course. Just today I finished sheet #2, so it’s been about 2 months using the eclar plaster for me. I don’t want to get ahead of myself but lately when I press and rub the tape into my ear each time, I can feel a difference in the size and I really think it’s working. Best of luck!! ❤️🤞🏽

I find REALLY surprising the fact that you had two types of scarring (hypertrophic and keloid). I thought someone could have only one type, now I'm scared. I have hypertrophic scarring. But thank u so much for sharing your experience, u give me a little hope.
Ahh! Glad there’s some hope for you. If you haven’t had a keloid yet, I’d guess you’re probably not going to experience one. But keloids are still a bit of an anomaly that there’s no telling for sure.
At least there is this promising tape you can use in early stages if that ever were to happen. But it won’t! Hope your hypertrophic scar heals soon! I’ve tried to use the new tape on my hypertrophic scar and I always wake up with it gone, so it’s been a challenge to keep it on my arm, haha. It has no problem staying on my ear, oddly enough.
Definitely going to order from the Japanese pharmacy! Frustrating that this isn’t talked about more widely in the UK anyway. I went to the GP about my chest keloid and I was sent away quickly saying there was nothing that could be done. Makes me a bit skeptical trying something just from my own research but it seems promising!
Wow, what a bummer that this is a widely accepted response by primary care physicians and other medical professionals around the world. Our options are pretty slim and keloids tend to just keep growing back. But I hope it works for you! I think you’ll get decent results with a flatter (if you will) chest keloid. 🙏🏽
I’m from the Uk too and it’s so hard getting keloids treated. Waiting lists and I’m trying to get on isotretanoin for the acne which is growing into keloids. For the keloids I’ve decided Poland is the cheapest and best way to treat them with steroid injections and laser therapy. What’s the update with your keloids

I’m confused a bit haha. So the cordran tape didn’t work? I thought you made another video explaining how well it worked but I’m assuming it was for your shoulder/chest keloid?
I was wondering if this would work for a keloid that’s flat but only issue is the redness ?

The cordran tape worked for a while, but seemingly has stopped working. It has expired also, so I’m not sure if that’s the cause, but it might be. I don’t have a shoulder or chest keloid so maybe you were watching someone else?
The flatter the better; I think you’d have good results.

I just received my eclar plastor last week and I had my keloid removal surgery on Monday! I plan on using them on my 3rd week mark! Quick question. Do I dispose the part of the tape I don’t use? There’s 50 sheets for one box. With one sheet. I’d probably only be using half of that sheet

Do you mean you plan to use half of a sheet total.. or at a time? I keep any excess in the pouch and fold over the top to use for later. Sometimes I cut 3ish pieces at a time.
Definitely don’t want to throw away good product if you can/plan to use it later. Make sure to use sharp scissors when cutting.
@@indiajasiri it went terrific! It’s finally nice not having it behind my ear but I know the war is just beginning lol. And oh ok perfect! I was just afraid that the part of the sheet I didn’t use, the steroid would wear off because I opened the package. Thanks!

Ah I see- the steroid is in the sticky adhesive side so opening the package won’t affect that. I’m actually very interested to know how it goes preventative wise for you since the studies said that was the best course of action (removal then tape). Would you mind updating me in a few months?
@@indiajasiri sorry I wasn’t notified that you replied back and of course!!! I’ll keep updating once a month on here. I plan on wearing the tapes for a whole year. I just wanna be completely sure it’s gone before I stop using them.

Hi, I tried to order from the first link in your bio but it automatically added a Japanese bank details for me as payment method. I find that strange or is there something I didn't do right? I had to cancel the order.
Hi there! They are not accepting credit card payments right now so you’ll have to either do a wire transfer or send through wise.com, which is why they provide their banking information. They detail it once your order is placed. You’ll have to pay after you place the order. It was very easy and I got quick responses from them when I emailed which was really reassuring.
I also canceled my first order though, don’t blame you! Haha.
Hi, please like to know if you have gotten your order. Also I tried to use both my credit and debit card for payment but it refused to accept payment. Is it because its an overseas transaction?
@@MB-nx3tt hi, I have received my order. It was really quick, took a about week to get to me. They’re not accepting credit or debit card payments directly on their website, you have to do a wire transfer which pulls directly from your bank account. Or use wise.com and follow their instructions- I didn’t use that site so I can’t help with that unfortunately

Is the bio-japan site trustable for buying the eclar plaster?
Hi! I am very wary of sites I’m not familiar with too but I did some research and emailed with them beforehand and trust them. They sent me confirmation after I paid and my order came very quickly. I also use a credit card for most online purchased just in case since it’s better for disputing in worst case scenarios. But I definitely recommend; they’re legitimate in my book!

Hi! I have a chest keloid which is 5 years old, I tried corticosteroid inj and co2 laser treatments, nothing seemed to work. It only got worse after each treatment. So, planning to try deprodone propionate. can you make an update video on deprodone propionate steroid tape as well. I spoke to my dermat about this steroid tape, maybe he was not completely aware of it but he suggested against using it...
Hi there! Sorry to hear about your other treatments. I definitely plan to make an update on the eclar plaster! I just finished sheet #2 which took 2 months, and I think I might go 1 more month before really checking for progress, but I do feel that my keloid tissue is shrinking 🙊
Your derm didn’t give you any reasons why you shouldn’t use it, just said not to? Weird. Wouldn’t trust that as it does sound like he is familiar with it 🤷🏽♀️
@@indiajasiri Glad to know that its shrinking the keloid. The only reason my dermatologist mentioned against eclar is that such high concentration of steroid could give side effects. One topical steroid I used is mometasone furoate, using it beyond one month caused redness and pimples around the area. So far, have you observed any such unwanted side effects with eclar
Also have you considered taking serrapeptase supplements? Serrapeptase is a proteolytic enzyme that dissolves old scar tissue while keeping the healthy tissue intact (from my online research)
@@harshitha-8256 ah I see! Good to know. There are side effects with any medication/medicated product so that really hasn’t deterred me. I know what to look out for just in case. I’m sorry you had a reaction to a topical steroid. I can’t remember which two topicals I tried (I think I mention which ones in one of my first videos), but neither of them had any affect whatsoever (good nor bad).
I actually have tried Serrapeptase in 2018 and 2019. It was before my 3rd surgery. I had sharp pain and tingling in both keloids, and Serrapeptase didn’t seem to help. I stopped taking it because I was worried about the rest of my health. If you are going to try it, I would recommend the Mary Ruth Organics brand.

I am planning to try a corticosteroid injection immediately followed by eclar tape to stop the keloid from growing back. waiting for your video before making a purchase :D
