I just found your channel and I’m so glad that I did. Wish I would have found it about 2 weeks earlier. My 4 year old granddaughter just had hers removed from the back of both ears and treated with Steroid. Hers were just about as big as yours were (at 4 years old). She’s supposed to go back to have laser done so I was wondering if you had any experience with lasers? I’m going to start looking for the steroid tape that you use as well. Thanks for all the information and I look forward to continue watching your journey.

So the tape works for hypertrofic scars?

I know how hard it is to live with keloids from personal experience. I get steroid shots and cryotherapy every 4-5 weeks. While it is mentally draining, you are still beautiful! And your scars don’t define you. Constantly worrying if more will come or if it’ll ever get better is a never ending battle I pray you find some sort of peace in this process and know you are not alone 🫶🏾

You can get it surgically removed and it has a 70% chance of returning. If you get it removed followed by 3 straight days of radiation (very mild form) it has only a 3% chance of returning.

@india Thanks for sharing. English is not my first language but i would try. Im 28 years old and i have keloid since 2014. I live in germany and i visit i dont know how "specialist" and done a lot of research myself i have tried a lot of things even had 2 sugeries and they grew back. My life is a mess right now i dont really know what to do. Since i tried so many things those injections sucked for sure. Now i found a doctor who does intralasion nitrogen cryo which could reducte the size of them up to 50% Now i just came across your video it made me wonna change my mind to maybe do the surgery the use the tapes. We did the injections after the 2 surgeries i had but still grew So maybe that could help me i dont really know what to do. Unfortunaletely i have a big one on my chin it looks like someone tried separate my head from my body every time i look in the miror i see it or when i talk to people, I have no life beside work its crazy Forgot to mention the cryo thing gonna be a battle with the insurance first just submited all the documents 2 weeks ago

I feel your pain. You were so young when your keloid journey began and it's been with you most of your life.😢 I had a nasty keloid burn on my chest when I was just a toddler and even had additional unflattering flaws like a port wine birthday dead on my face! So I've spent my entire life disguising my flaws. I could write a book...

Did you ever try kt tape?

My surgeon downplayed keloid risks more than I thoght was possible.... He didn't say it could be painfull... He told me I could do laser treatment if a keloid formed, then I learned the laser has to be done right after the procedure, and it's really expensive....

Yes my pharmacist said it’s hard to find. Not everyone carries it and it’s extremely hard to get and keep the steroid on the tape which is why it’s expensive. He also said 800 bucks and with discount I paid $150. Fine. I started my tape yesterday. Pleaseee work tape!

Great vedio.. unfortunately I had keloid in my chin near to my ears, now about 2 years ago.. I tried a lot of injections but still keloid being much bigger with itching. When I see this video I tried to search about this tape but unfortunately there is no same type in my country I’m fro Middle East. I much need it to get rid of this keloid in my face.

Thanks for updating! Been waiting for your update while I got myself the same tape around Feb this year and started using since then. My keloid is on the chest, around 3X4 cm and saw changes only around May. Has been flatter except one side of the edge and shows no sign of aggression with improved colour.. its definitely working for me

Hey India my significant other has started injection treatment. I’ve been looking into the steroid tape from Japan for her smaller ones she won’t be getting injections on. May I ask what website you bought the eclar tape?

thank you for posting this update. i have keloids on my chest and just got the keloid on my ear removed 2 months ago. my chest ones have always responded well to steroid injections. they’re super painful but i think they’re worth it as they break up collagen and stunt the keloid growth. you may need more than a couple injections but don’t lose hope! as long as the injections don’t make the keloid worse, i do recommend them

Thank you for sharing your experience. I bought some of this tape about 3 months ago because of you. I didn’t have keloids but had small hypertrophic scars that this tape has done wonders for! Also for your arm, maybe try putting a small stripe of KT (kinesiology) tape over the steroid tape to help it stay on

Hi India, have you tried the “Nuvadermis Premium Medical Silicone Scar sheets” ? The box lists different type of scars including Keloid which these can be used on. I’ve been using these sheets on a couple of old hypertrophic scars, I gave up on these scars years ago, since I tried so many different things, including lasers, other brand of silicone sheets, tretinoin, you name it! and nothing seemed to work; I decided to give these sheets a shot and I’m seeing improvement!! It’s been 2 weeks since I started using them. It doesn’t hurt to try these if you haven’t already. I know the struggle, discouragement, self esteem gets affected as well, so I want to say Thank you! For sharing your experience and open up when you didn’t have to do it. ❤ sending you good vibes and praying for you so you can get the results you want!!🎉 PS.
