  • Hi my friends!
    Since my last video, I ordered Japanese Eclar Plaster, the stronger version of steroid tape that's out there. I know I've advised against getting this in past videos due to importing restrictions and such, but my Cordran tape expired and I couldn't help my curiosity.
    In this video I'll cover how I felt ordering from Mimaki Family Pharmacy and if I feel that it's worked in these past 5 months.
    3:13 - Before/after photos
    To my people who have been using this tape, how is it going? I would love to know!
    If you'd like to keep up with me and my updates; please feel free to subscribe and follow me on instagram (@india_jasiri) :)

    I thought I would come back to thank you! It was from your comments I learned about this tape a year ago and It changed my life. I had a keloid growing on my jaw but now its flat - not completely but there's a huge difference.
    I do notice when I don't wear it for a week, it starts to itch slightly so Im probably going to pair with kenelog in the future, Its great for new injuries to prevent them from forming a keloid as well - wish I knew about it sooner!

    I want to share my experience with Eclar! In 2018-2019 some acne lesions on my chest showed no sign of healing and they started to grow so I realized they were keloids. I am almost sure the cause was a silver pendant I was using at that time: rubbing all day on my skin it ignited the inflammatory process. I tried silicon sheets for two years but they did not stop the growth. After finding the studies on deprodone propionate I decided to buy Eclar. On August 2021 I started the therapy: for the first 8 months the five keloids remained almost the same, but from May 2022 something changed and now, October 2022, they are COMPLETELY FLAT! There is still the initial redness, but I am really satisfied with the results, so far. Two keloids were hard to the touch, about 2 cm wide and 0.5 cm high, the other three were smaller. I am 36: being older means slower healing. I advise to change the plasters every 24 hours, to cover the affected areas only and be consistent.

    • @carlom.7598
      @carlom.7598 Рік тому +1

      @@hervel9562 Hi Hervé, no I did not consult a dermatologist, because my father is a doctor: I am in good health, I had no previous pathologies or specific contraindications that could have prevented the use of topical corticosteroids, but it is advisable to consult a specialist if you have doubts. The procedure is simple: once a day I wash the affected area (I use Marseille soap) and I cut a stripe for every single keloid (covering only the red part or slightly less, not touching the healthy skin). An important precaution: totally avoid sun or use massive protection, because it can worsen the inflammation and the pigmentation, even near the affected areas, given that keloids tend to expand laterally.

    It looks good to me. Does your keloid feel flat? It looks like there's just some pinkness left. Would you consider laser to help with the color?

    • @indiajasiri
      @indiajasiri  Рік тому

      Hi! The area that is pink is a keloid. There is a tiny bit more bulk in the back, and it’s hard. I know it doesn’t look like typical keloids in this area normally do- that’s because they have been removed three times. Used to look like big marbles!
      I think in order to say the tape is 100% successful for me, that whole pink area would be more flush with my neck/cheek, if that makes sense.
      If the keloid was gone, I personally wouldn’t worry about the color, as it’s easily covered by makeup. I know there are some laser keloid treatments, but I have read that laser treatments could stimulate that excessive collagen production again and I wouldn’t want to risk it. This is why I won’t get laser facials either, as burns and scarring can happen after any type of laser treatment 😬 just my opinion of course!

    I have a very small bothersome hypertrophic scar on my face, and I've had it for years. I'm afraid, have a healthy fear of, getting surgery or letting someone take a laser to my face. I'd prolly try to use the tape, but with my scar so small, I would never need more than one sheet. Eventually it may find its way to the states. Thank you for creating the content. I totally understand what a constant pain in the ass scars are.
    If you ever go the route of kenalog injections, make sure you find a doctor who knows about, and will dilute with F5 (Fluorouracil). F5 is a cancer drug, but it prevents the kenalog from leaving an indent from what I understand. Peace.
