This is my 6 month Cordran tape update. I have been using it on my right ear for 6 months straight, and used it for 3 months total on the hypertrophic scar on my arm. I'm seeing some amazing changes in such a short amount of time 😊🎉

I’ve been living with keloids at the chest for about a decade now. As they’ve grown over the years bulges have been developing, easily noticed while wearing t-shirts. With keloids being as sensitive as they are, underneath a t-shirt gives added pressure and rubbing. I walk around meeting with people, chest caved in and shoulders protruding forward. Would actively avoid doing chest exercises in fear that meeting people confidently with a chest out and shoulders back would draw more attention to these scars. It affects the way I carry myself and in result feel. As I go through the process of getting these removed this series has given me hope that I can live a life without these scars bogging me down. Your success story has reminded me I’m not the only one and comforts me while in the process of getting them removed. You sharing open and honest and genuine is such a beautiful thing.
Hi Suni! Thank *you* so much for sharing. It is really tough to be comfortable with them, but we can try. I would recommend trying silicone tape over your keloids to help with the uncomfortable feeling from your tshirt; it might help.
And I hear you 100%! The little keloid that I have left can still bother me psychologically a little, but overall, I have gotten to a good place. After my 3rd surgery, I went to a photoshoot and a little girl was staring at my new scars. Even though I had just gotten them removed again, and there were no longer big keloids to look at at that time- people were still staring! Since then I've realized that people will be people and will look or even stare at our scars or abnormalities. And it's okay. Try to breathe in confidence and know that not hiding your scars, or keloids, or any part of yourself for that matter is brave, inspiring, and just might be helping others who are also hiding.
Hi - wanted to say thank you for sharing this video! I have been struggling with my scar on my wrist for over 4 years now. Tried just about everything from scar patches, scar gels, surgery, laser, massage, kenolog injections, and now finally cordran tape. My biggest thing is the texture and redness of my hypertrophic scar. I have only been using cordran tape here and there, but after watching your video will definitely be more diligent. I have seen some improvement so far.

Thank you for sharing! I have a big keloid on my chest that's been so painful and makes me feel insecure. I used to get steroid shots which helped somewhat, but then they grow back within 1 year. I reached out to my dermatologist and she prescribed me the tape which will cost me $150... totally worth it!

@@indiajasiri He said that Silicone Gel and Silicone Tape when they are 100% have the same properties, go for either one that I'm comfortable in using. He believes that it will smooth out my keloid scars over time. We agreed that the tape is probably better for me since I'm cut across my abdomen from hip to hip. An area that gets a great deal of movement, the gel doesn't seem to stay on long enough to work very well, but the tape stays in place. I've seen noticeable reduction in the forming of raising scarring since using the tape. I'm hopeful. Thanks you for asking and sharing with us. There's one are that's a little lumpy that we are monitoring. Worst case he'll inject it with silicone to smooth it out under the skin.
@@amb7412 I'm so glad you're seeing a noticeable difference! That's amazing. I can't say I would agree with him about the silicone and tape working the same having read so many studies on each. I am shocked he would say that. But I am glad he's happy to give you the choice. He'll inject with silicone? Do you mean inject steroids?
@@indiajasiri Hi India I'm sorry I didn't notice that you had additional questions. He actually said he would do a silicone shot into the incision, but I met with another doctor last week and she said that a cortisone shot can be smooth out the incision and I believe that's a steroid shot. After using the tape for a while, i have to agree with you they do not work the same. I had no response from the gel. It could be me but it didn't work for me. The is smoothing the skin down but it is a slow process and it seems to like just being left in placed for a few days. I shower with it on as well. Since I leave it on so long I intend to throw mine out once I remove it. But I am aware that many people wash their's and reuse it. Thanks for following up.

@@indiajasiri I found a manufacturers coupon that got it down to $150 but only a certain pharmacy accepts it. I can wait to get my hands on this. Even if it only helps with the pain and itching that will be enough

Hey, I wanted to ask if the scar on the back of your hand still flat or was the effect temporary, I have a similar scar on my chest and the scar tissue in it looks similar to yours.

Hi! I have not been wearing the tape on my hypertrophic scar (the one on my arm near my elbow), but I do plan to start testing it on that. Something about the location or shape causes it to fall off, especially at night while sleeping, so I’m going to have to do 12ish hours of wear-time during the day and hope it sticks.
The few times that I have worn it on that scar, it seems to have helped and I think with continuous use, it might flatten significantly. Probably worth a try for yours. Hope you’re doing ok!
I branded my arm and it turned into a massive keloid and I was curious if you think this process would help minimize the bubbled up look
Oh, dang! It's hard to say, as any advice I can give would mainly be based on anecdotal evidence. But I think it's worth a shot.

Did you have any side effects from using this tape? If so what did you use or do to minimize the side effects ?
I think it’s my latest video where I mention some redness! That’s about it though. I took a week break from using it and now only use it about two consecutive days, then another break.
Do you know about isotope? In China many patients suffering from keloids have recovered thanks to isotope sr 90 and p 30

I am really not sure, but I don't think it is available in India. If I'm remembering correctly, the study I read mentioned it being available in the US, UK, and Japan, but that was a few years ago. Hi Anupreet… I am also from India and have a huge keloid scar on my chest. The steroid injections were so painful and unhelpful. Did you get this tape? If yes, is it healing?
I have one on the inside of my elbow which has movement, when is the best time routine for tape
I taped 23-24 hours per day but if you have a ton of movement that you feel would prevent the tape from staying on, I’d probably do 12 hours per day and do it in the evening and you can sleep with it on overnight
Has your ear improved since? I want to buy this but I want to know if it’s really worth it.
I'm hoping to get an update out next weekend! I had to take a few weeks off so I think we're still sort of at the same progress level.

@@goldiejomanifest8447 You actually don’t have to wait for a video update if you don’t want to. Maybe there hasn’t been an update yet because there is nothing to update? As I stated above, I had to take some weeks off so there isn’t much to update. I am extremely busy and have to carve out time to do this and share my experience for the kind and patient people who have subscribed so they can get notified. Also, nobody here has $800 to waste. This is also an experiment so my results are my results, your results could be entirely different.
You probably covered this before. But did your insurance cover the cost of the tape. Was it a reasonable price?

@@indiajasiri yes I have on my back. It seemed to work. I no longer needed injections. But It did leave a dark scar. The scar swells from time to time and has a shooting pain but a little different than the keloid.
