  • Review and torque test on the Snap on CT761 cordless impact.
*Note* I said in the video it was a little over $300 for the kit, it only comes with one battery for that price. The kit with two batteries is about $430.

I just pulled the trigger on one of these today.
brand new, $380 2 batteries and a charger right off the snap-on rape truck.

I picked up one of these kits today! Besides my lunch break, it didn't leave my side all day. I did a few full service front+rear brake jobs, one of which needed both rear arms removed to access the caliper bracket bolts- this thing proved itself to be a solid no-nonsense piece of equipment that is now a major part of my setup! Definitely worth every penny especially considering you get (2) battery packs, a charger, and a heavy duty snap on tool bag with it!!! If you're great at your job, paying $380 for a tool kit that greatly jacks up your efficiency and portability ain't shit!!

Just pulled the trigger on one myself. Im a small engine tech and this thing handles it all except for the heavy diesel equipment.

They say the milwaulkee has more torque but the trigger on the snap on is so awesome I don't care about torque the double trigger is soo nice I love it I'm about to buy my second one so one stays in my shop at home and one in my work truck!!

Just ordered one of these and some GP Impact sockets in 3/8 drive. I have a nice 1/2" Milwaukee but its just too much power and too heavy for the small bolts. Was going to go with the M12 one but I really like the concept of the rocker switch.

I love mine. It seems to take lug nuts off as long as they aren't corroded. You do have to be careful with small fasteners. It's got plenty of torque to strip threads if you aren't careful. There is a battery indicator led on the side of the tool that changes from green to amber to red as the battery capacity dismisses. My only minor complaint is that the batteries stick in the tool and the charger.

Yeah they do have a lot of torque for such a small impact. That's good to know about the LED light. I know what you mean, sometimes I have a little trouble getting my batteries out too. Still my favorite tool though!

I have Milwaukee and snap on electric impacts this snap on 3/8 is awesome lug nuts and just about everything I would use a 3/8 on no problem. I won’t deny Milwaukee is a beast too and I got my snap on with 1 battery for the same price as the Milwaukee... when it comes to 1/2 Milwaukee has way more than enough torque you’ll ever need for automotive work

That would be nice to have. I take all my stuff off with just ratchets and stuff. This definitely would speed things up

Yeah it is nice. Like I said in the video you can get them for a reasonable price used on Ebay (that's where I got mine). Definitely worth the money!

This thing allows me to remove and replace brake pads and wheels on a fully raied vehicle in under 20 min aslong as the calipers aren't wind backs

Yes we get it, Milwaukee is the shit! But this gun is tiny AF and literally fits in your pocket. Milwaukees can't do that

@@retrograde4326 is that why my 3/8 stubby Milwaukee has been sent in twice in a 13 months because it keeps craping out and my snap on is 2 years old and haven't had a single issue?

I'm not impressed,i've seen to many snapon cordless impacts fail at work, your money would be better spent on Milwaukee, there tools have more power a better battery a 5 year warranty and they cost half the price of snapon.when you spend all that money on snapon, you are just paying for the name, but the performance and durability is lacking.

I will say I have heard a lot of good stuff about Milwaukee. However I still love my Snap On impacts and never had a problem with them. I'll still have to give Milwaukee a try sometime though. Maybe in the future I can do a comparison video between the two.

    • @GWR4079
      @GWR4079 4 роки тому

I've never had those problems but I guess it depends on maintenance and servicing of the impact over time
