I have both the m12 stubby and the ct761. I love the m12 but still find myself using the ct761 more than the Milwaukee. Also purchased the fuel m12 ratchets and I dont really like those at all. For me the snap-on 14.4 ratchets are better. Especially the 1/4 drive extended reach..its a killer little tool

Milwaukee m12 line is great, ratchet, stubby, impact driver, drill, cut off tool, rivet gun, and incoming is the die grinder. 1 battery fits all. I love snap on, and there 14.4v line is great too but the price is way too up there. Need them to catch up with the tools that milwaukee already has out.

I'm not happy that the Snap On is still using a brushed motor, especially for how much money they want. I was thinking about Milwaukee, but I will have a student snap on discount in about a year, so I might spend that towards an impact and extended reach ratchet. I'll have to see what both companies offer by then.

I wouldn’t go with the big white truck 😂 Milwaukee knocks it out of the park with all the tools on their platforms they aren’t all perfect but all the options for tools makes up for it in my opinion plus way cheaper

There’s a lot of comments from people about how much better the stubby is on paper. Then you realize these people never actually use tools. The Milwaukee stubby doesn’t fit anywhere because it’s too wide, it’s too heavy and unwieldy.

You say the stubby dont fit anywhere? Well i use tools and ive never had fitment issues with my stubby, they do have something called extensions...and snap on is just stupid expensive for absolutely nothing...but hey different strokes for different folks

@@youjizz1991 The stubby Milwaukee was my only foray into their power tools. Within a week there was an electrical issue with the trigger. Milwaukee informed me that they only perform ONE warranty repair in five years, and effectively it was out of warranty. I returned it to Home Depot. In that week, the body was too wide to fit into tight spaces compared to the CT761. Had nothing to do with extensions, you dim witted shit bag.

Lmao Snapon for hand tools, Milwaukee for electric. Had a buddy spend $900 on a Snapon 1/2” brushless and we all told him noooo don’t do it he had to have it, coulda bought 2.5 almost 3 Milwaukee 1/2” m18 brushless 2767-20 impacts for the price of that, and had a better warranty...
Yes I have a mix of tools, Snapon convertible light I love it, blue point tire gauge, love it... Mostly just harbor freight, Milwaukee, tekton craftsman... All used professionally daily...

@@montevallomustang I wouldn't worry too much about brushless vs non-brushless. The 14.4 line is already stupid efficient, and the batteries recharge in an hour. Brushes are more reliable than the hall effect sensors/stator on all the brushless designs. No one bothers to mention that the permanent magnets of a brushless motor get very hot, and every time they do they break down (reducing power output permanently). All brushes do is wear out. Replace them, no big deal. The hall sensor control boards can't take the heat either from what I've seen.

    • @Tap-a-roo
      @Tap-a-roo 4 роки тому +2

This is just wrong. Everyone online thinks this because they're stupid, and don't understand the real warranty on milwaukee (they will not warranty normal wear and tear, "abuse" or any other reason they feel like it). Plus their battery packs die right outside the warranty period.

My stubby 3/8 has been sent in twice in the 2 years I've owned it. Both times it took over 3 months to get back. They don't last and sure as hell are not 200 dollars cheaper. I paid 190 for my Milwaukee and 220 for my 761 both brand new. Milwaukee is permanently banned from my box.

In the 2 years I owned my 3/8 stubby it was at Milwaukee for 7 months for warranty. Took 3 months the first go around after it crapped out and 4 months the second time the anvil broke off.
When you rely on your tools to make your money with that is completely unacceptable for a turn around time.
Keep in mind this was just one tool. I've had to send in a 2767, gen 3 hammer drill twice, a m12 impact driver, 1/4" electric ratchet and a grinder. All Fuel models and all within the first year or 2 of owning them.

If it makes ya feel any better my snap on ct761 had to be warrantied the 1st year i bought it, got 1 free one and there after about $135 to have it rebuilt once a year. I've had good luck with milwaukee, i hate that for ya. And i work in a transmission shop so they get well used every day. Maybe you had a lemon experience? Did you buy it off the amazons? @@thefogisgone3662 lol yeah I've had Milwaukee tools all my life before they were all the rage. Just seems quality on everything they make now is cheap. I think they got too big too fast and got thrown in the automotive realm and are learning quick that real mechanics put them thru hell. I'm by no means abusive to tools either. I got everything I had at the lovely Home Depot for what it's worth.
I've had to warranty plenty of snap on stuff. Never had a bad experience though. My local dealer retired last year so I've had to call or email snap on directly for warranty items lately and it's an actual American I'm speaking to and zero BS! Its quick and painless. They didn't ask for the old one back or even any pictures. Took 8 days to get the last hand tool I warrantied out.
That's why I I keep buying snap on and why Milwaukee can take a flying fuck.

@@upnorth5465 snap on didnt ask you to mail them the broken tool? Thats wild i figured you had to, i mailed matco literally like a 5 pound bag full of broken torx bits and sockets that my dad was unaware of how to go about warrantying without the truck dealer bc ours had went out of business at the time and they mailed me back brand new tools and all accept one they didnt make anymore and they gave me what they sell in its place. I dont think i've mailed snap on anything for warranty its always been off the truck. And my personal experience anyway there's like a 60% chance my dealer doesnt have it in stock and it takes him weeks sometimes to get me my stuff. Idk i think our dealers get irritated with us bc we have most of the hand tools and things we need already where my dads done this for ever and now i've got most of what i need too, so i dont keep a huge truck account. The Mac guy wont even stop anymore bc we dont buy enough even though we have a shit ton of mac sockets. They like it when you owe them money lol
