So the back door man is an old blues reference about being the guy going out the back door when the husband comes home through the front door :) not the other back door lol keep up the good work!
Led Zeppelin was the biggest band in the world throughout the seventies until they stopped in 1980 due to the untimely death of their drummer John Bonham. They were the complete package, every band wanted what they had
Hi Gem, The band Led Zeppelin with Robert Plant vocals and harmonica, Jimmy Page guitar (what you saw was the cello bow) John Paul Jones bass guitar and piano and John Bonham drums. You just witnessed the studio version, 1969 with film clips of several periods of the band. ✌️🇳🇱😀
It’s not a him...it’s a band. This is just one of many out standing songs they have in their catalogue. 😎👏👏👏👏The GOATS! You should actually watch them live...the 1973 Madison Square Garden concert!
3:45 HE can play guitar like that lol he used a cello bow to play electric guitar, his live bow solos are the stuff of legend! in this song hes using a theramin in the wierd bit in the middle
Violin and guitar are both string instruments. However a guitar does not have a bridge to separate the strings. You can play chords on a guitar but not individual notes.
Since I’ve Been Loving You live 1973 Madison Square Garden, if you are looking for extra. This band is unbelievably talented. They have banger after banger. One of their earlier hits Dazed and Confused is a masterpiece in of itself, but you’ve got a big Zeppelin fan watching, lol.I hope you enjoy more Led Zeppelin for us to enjoy you enjoying. Great reaction!
The Band Led Zeppelin is Robert Plant (vocals) Jimmy Page (lead guitar) John Paul Jones (base / keyboards) And John (bonzo) Bonham (drums) I get they're new to you, but they're widely regarded as the greatest rock band of all time. Mixing blues with rock, if you want to see more, then the track "Since I've been Loving You" live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 Or the track "Kashmir" that I guarantee you have heard in movies or sampled by almost every rap artist on the planet!
As much as I love LZ I will only add "arguably' one of the greatest even though you did say widely regarded. I am sure you would get plenty of arguments from Pink Floyd, Queen, Rolling Stones, And Beatles fans, et al. And all of them can make good arguments for their cause. Just too many to listen to and all to good to miss out on in your life.
The line in the song "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love" tells you exactly what he's talking about. If you like older rock songs with lots of sexual innuendo you might want to check out Kiss "take it off", and "Heaven's on fire"
The "backdoor man" is a VERY old reference from old blues songs. . When the husband is going out the front door, to go to work etc. the "back door man" be comin' in the back door to see your woman. .

No auto tune back then...they HAD to be able to sing for real. Great reaction!! 🖖🏻🇨🇦
actually there was another guitarist that used a bow on guitar. it's a matter of debate as to who was 1st. but no doubt jimmy has the swagger that nobody else has or ever will.
@@mjt11860 It's a gimmick IMO for the live shows, it was used well on the 1st album, but Zeppelin/Jimmy was SO MUCH MORE than bowing a guitar!! Peace, stay safe, Happy Holiday's

Yes, back then music was REAL. No autotune. No fake fluff. Simple...they make look easy because of their real talent. What passes for music today is pathetic. The Band is Led Zeppelin. They are the GOAT!!! Lead singer Robert Plant one of the best voices in rock. Jimmy Page Lead Guitar and he is playing the guitar with a cello bow. Again one of the best guitarists in rock. John Bonham drums again one of the best in rock. John Paul Jones. Bassist and organist. The quiet foundation of this band. Their music is a combo of rock, blues, folk, funk and more. Back door man is the lover on the side. Welcome to the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. Please jump in.

Indeed, when you finally understood what was meant by "Every Inch Of My Love", "Deep Down Inside", and "Shake For Me Girl"and then finally, "I Want To Be Your Back Door Man", an homage to Willie Dixon who wrote the Blues song "Back Door Man" recorded by Howlin' Wolf in 1960. The Term In Those Days meant a Lover slipping out the Back Door, When The Returning Husband came in the Front Door, referring to an extramarital affair.
It may sound simple now but at the time it was quite an amazingly new sound. When you say 'he' is getting into the song who do you mean? There are 4 of them and they are all getting into it.
You'll like Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin; everyone talks about dancing to that song at their high school prom...I'm not a fan of Led Zeppelin but that song is 👍if you're music into guitar playing; then Jimmy Page (guitarist) in the band is one of the best 😀

Hi Gem. Great reaction! Theres an interesting phenomenon that happened in rock music called the British Invasion. It involves a generation of kids in Britain who had access to Black American blues music. In America these were known as Race Records and were illegal. All race records were made for export. Aside from these british kids of the next generation, only poor southern white american kids knew about Blues music because they lived among the black folks that invented it. Like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, ...etc. Led Zeppelin got in trouble and got sued by Chess Records in Chicago because Willie Dixon wrote the song You Need Love, which Led Zeppelin changed to Whole Lotta Love and turned it into their own thing, but, did not give credit to the original artist and song writer. This is just one example of that phenomenon. Cool huh?!
So true - so much of the "Rock" music that came out in the 60's and early 70's were not originals but just remakes of older blues songs. Much of the generation back then thoght they were listening to new original musc (I know - I was one of them)
The crazy sounds in the middle were actually made by an instrument called a Theramin, not used in rock very often, but very popular back in the old black and white sci-fi film days.
You should listen to muddy waters "whole Lotta love" They loved the down home blues in a tin can. Meanwhile Americans turned a deaf ear on these wonderful artists. Not zeppelin tho! They grabbed ahold of it and suddenly Americans were in love. Unfortunately Britain wasn't really big on the band until the drummer passed away. 😕
Led Zeppelin brilliant but if you want to see a show take a look at Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb, Pulse Live keep your eyes open and enjoy the greatest band ever
Okay, so, there's a BIG problem with this song. It was written by Delta Blues man Willie Dixon in the 1950s titled: 'You Need Love.' It was first recorded by Muddy Waters in 1963 (with awesome keyboards), and released by Chess Records -- with credit to Dixon (ua-cam.com/video/WoqR7ztdTCg/v-deo.html). The Small Faces did a cover -- with credit to Dixon -- and a couple of other bands, too in the 1960's -- again, with full credit. Dixon's estate sued Led Zeppelin, and after years of litigation, they won. Later, Robert Plant said with a blank look in those blue eyes: "Jim came up with a great riff, we changed some words, and 'Bob's your uncle.' The man should have been paid, and he wasn't -- end of story." Not quite. Dixon died in 1992, broke and impoverished, when he should have been paid huge royalties over decades. They also ripped off the term 'back-door man' from another Dixon recording of the same title. Plant tried to justify it by saying their manager, Peter Grant, took care of all the business -- but they knew they hadn't credited Dixon and continued to fight long after Grant was gone. Jimmy Page never made any kind of comment or apology 😐. It's really sad that people of their talent wouldn't give credit where due. And it's not the only song they stole...
Robert plant is the singer and Jimmy Page is the lead guitarist nobody is named led Zeppelin that is the name of the band page is one of the greatest rock and roll guitar players if not the greatest that is the beginning of what you need to know in case you decide to listen to more led Zeppelin
I can´t belive that you never have heared this song. It is the most iconic riff of pop/rock-music, only challanged by smoke on the water - deep purple (same area)... And it is the text you have to "understand" - esp. as woman :D It is ONLY about f..cking - pure sex and - in that time (late 60ties, early 70ties) full understood by the audience. Listen closely, he even sing about "every inch of my love" :)
Oh I can believe that she has never heard of this song. All her life she's been programmed by that vomit computer-generated garbage that barely pass as music. This is the first time she's ever heard real instruments being played. And it's foreign to her because there's no auto-tune and correct everything so it isn't perfect.
Know what? I used to think reaction videos were fake. I grew up in the sixties when all the classic rock music of The Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Led Zepellin, Cream, Dylan, The Who was being created. I’ll look at reaction videos now and see millennials (with absolute straight faces) say something like “Today I’m going to be reacting to someone who calls themselves the Beatles, and the song I’m going to be reacting to is called Yesterday.” “Now I think I might have seen their name written down somewhere sometime, but I’m not sure.” I’d think...you phuckin’ liar.. There’s no way, NO WAY, you could not have heard of the Beatles. But, they’ll nonchalantly cue up their players, put on their headphones, press play, and then....presto. Their jaw drops, their face melts, and they’re transported to musical nirvana (maybe for the first time ever): When the song ends I’ll see them take off their headphones and go silent, or stutter, or shake their head, or say something like “Oh man. I never knew it would sound like THAT.” I’d then know that nobody was that good of an actor. My only thought was...you poor soul. You have years, YEARS, of listening pleasure ahead of you. And how the HELL has someone who is walking, talking, and breathing never heard this music before?

"Its not a bad song"
good.....grief.
I think you should just go to sleep and wakeup when it's over. In fact, it is a whole song about engaging in "hanky panky" and maybe by sleeping, that would be a your own interpretation
I loved this. 🤣 Either this song is bout sex or I misunderstood every inch of this song
It isn't a bad song, I mean come on, don't act like it's on the level of Eminem or Justin Bieber.
A back door man probably isn't what you think it is.
