You're not wrong in that Led Zeppelin pretty much created the "Rock Star" archetype, however they weren't just pretty faces with long hair, bare chests and strange looking clothes - they had musical skill, taste, and improvisational skills that could more than back up any description of them. They had chemistry, swagger, and undeniable stage presence. The "race car" sound was guitarist Jimmy Page scraping his guitar pick up the neck of the guitar and yes, Jimmy did occasionally use a violin bow on his guitar, he did not use one on this song. Instead, the otherworldly, unusual sounds were created by Jimmy playing a Theremin which is a musical instrument played by moving your hand close to and away from an aerial to create oscillating tones while controlling pitch and speed with a dial on the console. You'll find Zeppelin's music appeals to many different parts of the human condition; it's what you hear, the emotions it evokes, the language it speaks - it's the whole package.
@@brneydgrl1 I know, since everything is so great, I do have a favorite live though. Since I’ve Been Loving You, MSG (1973) the projection & passion is amazing as hell.
This is the first song I heard by Led Zeppelin, in the car of a classmate at vocational school with a great sound system. There are only a few songs in my life that have had such an extreme effect on me. I remember that day, which was a little over 30 years ago, every time I hear this song. Music is a time machine. 🖤
It is very hard to describe what this song delivers to you. There's a rawness to it, like it's completely free of consideration or moderation. It is 100% pure emotion and expression. It's how things were back then. A lot of the strength of this song comes from the fact that the guitar and the bass are playing exactly the same riff which is almost unheard of, but it gives the song its balls.
This is the music from my youth, we had a party room back then. Rock music was heard there every weekend. We also drank a bottle of beer and we were happy and satisfied. This time would have been something for both of you. It's good that this music is still liked and played today. Greetings from Germany - Andy 🤘
Hey y'all from the state of Ga. I'm a first timer,,, I'm 65 and I grew up listening to Zeppelin,,, humor an old man I would like your reaction to Dazed and Confused
My two favorite🔥🔥🔥 ⭐️"Since Ive Been Loving You" at Madison Square Garden (you'll be surprised that this Rock band can kill the blues which they love) ⭐️"Kashmir" Celebration Day (a one day reunion concert in '07 with Jason Bonham, John's son on drums. This is the song Robert says he wishes to be remembered for & my favorite song of all time - check out if 32 years later they still got it😉)
The tempo of this song is reputed to be ideal for love making. Or that was the claim made by several women I knew back when this song was still new. The reference to back door man had a different meaning back then. A back door man was the lover who left by the back door when the husband walks in the front door. Robert Plant referenced it from the other point of view in another song when he sang "I open my front door, hear my back door slam". His lady was cheating on him
You just heard the chopped shortened version of the song. Listen to the studio version on the album Led Zeppelin II to experience the whole thing. There is much more of the swirling sounds in the middle of the song. Use your headphones.
Thank you. It drives me crazy that about thirty seconds is cut out. You miss two iconic voice and guitar sounds. Plus it's not like they just did noise for a while then stopped. Those are counted measures.
Led Zeppelin was a ground breaking band. Every element of their music pulls your mind into it. You can't help but feel it. I learned about LZ in 1972. Since then I've considered them to be the greatest. You two are such a cute couple. Thank you for your honest responses and comments. I enjoy watching your reactions. Thank you.
1969--this song changed the world of Rock and Roll. I was 13 when it came out, and filled with hormones and unsatisfied yearnings, I definately got the raw sensual subtext of the song ) as did all the boys of my time, lol. Thanks for the reaction!
I LOVED YOUR REMARK, DOMINICA!!! But: we're ALL YOUNG AT HEART, RIGHT??!!! :) Especially, when you're listening to THIS tune!! 🤣🤣❤❤ Such a GREAT TUNE! ...and, yes: naughty...but, that's part of the FUN OF IT!!!
I think the variety of styles they play is their greatest strength, songs like "Tangerine" or "Going to California" are totally different to this. "Dazed and Confused" and "Kashmir" are a different sound again. Hope you keep going with led zeppelin! and despite what lots of people will comment, the live versions of their songs from 1973 and 1975 are NOT the band at their best, Robert plants voice was very very damaged for these concerts and lots of post production work was done to cover for his voice breaking and cracking. if his voice and power is what you like then 1969-1971 is where its healthy!
Your video just popped up on my feed & I had to watch just to see your reaction to this phenomenal song! Then when you teased about having to unbutton your blouse during a previous LZ song, I thought, “OH OH…she may end up opening more than one button during this song (although in the live version Robert Plant makes it even more risqué😉)! As a 66 yr old gal, I still get the same reactions you both did! You’re both GREAT & I had to subscribe! 💞
Too Naughty ! 🤣. Undo some more buttons , it all about the act of making love. Loved the humour in your reaction, watched some of your reactions before and now finally and happily I'm subscribed
Some bands are even BETTER LIVE! LZ concerts were AWESOME. Never played the song the same as the album, mostly due to the SOLO`S. Such a tight band. Mixture of Blues/Rock, GOAT.
You guys are hilarious are its really enjoyable watching your genuine reactions :) Please react to Dazed and Confused (Studio Version) or Since I've Been Loving You (Live Madison Square Garden 1973)
Dominica`s reaction of seeing Jimmy Using a violin Bow on his Guitar was priceless. That was my reaction too the 1st time I seen that. If you Guys havent done it yet you have to listen to "Kashmir"!
Also, This video you watched did not even exist until after the band split. At the time, MTV wasn't even thought of and videos just were not a thing. So years later, people pieced concert footage together to give the impression that this is an "official video" when there just never was such a thing.
Well, looks like Domenicas had her fix so time for Andre to get his shirt off with Beth Harts version of this from Paradiso. You know you want to. Peace & Love. 🥰
Zeppelin, Sabbath and Deep Purple were the grandfathers of Heavy rock/metal Please do Deep Purple Child in time for an amazing voice and brilliant musical talent being showcased. The live version in 1070 is so good.
The shadow voice you can hear at the end of the song was due to re using the same audio tape from a previous take, the producer wanted to scrap it but the band thought it sounding cool and left it in. A very happy accident.
I think it's a very naughty song. He wanted to give every inch of his love, and he wanted to be her back door man. If those lyrics are not naughty I don't know what is. I agree with what Andre said, he said it was a bit naughty. Love to you both, i love your reactions to music. Thank you.😁👍❤️❤️❤️
Another awesome reaction video from you two, how about doing a reaction video to some American southern rock. Molly Hatchet - Fall of the Peacemaker. Its a awesome song with some great guitar playing, I believe released 1983. Thank you and enjoy.
Nice reaction, Andre and Dominica. Here's a song by a Canadian band that will get you moving. It's called Magic Carpet Ride and I'm sure you will love it. The band is called Steppenwolf.
🤩👍💥💯🎶 Thanks to late "Big Mama" Johnson for the original blues track so these guys could make their own rendition of the song... The times when influences went back and forth from shore to shore across the great Atlantic ocean... 🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
Thanks for playing Whole Lotta love, still my favorite song after hearing it the first time 51 years ago! I’ve always felt that the best rock bands sing about love and lust, and this one certainly covers their lust! Now you want to hear a great love song from Led Zeppelin? Play the studio version of Thank You from the same album. Robert’s love song to his wife. Keep in mind that Robert Plant was only 20 years old when these songs were recorded… Zeppelin covers it all!
The race car sound is made using a bottleneck that slides over the bass strings of the guitar. Jimmy Page uses this accessory on tracks like you shook me (he doubles Robert PLANT's voice) or on In My Time Of Dying. The bow that is in this video is a cello bow that you can hear on Dazed and Confused and How Many More Times (Led Zeppelin I). There is a live version of Dazed and Confused on the album The Song Remains the same which is considered by many to be the best of all.
Back in the 80's, every time my husband and I went to our local bar, we put this song on, it is my husbands favorite band. Robert Plant is supposed to be simulating an orgasm with his "moaning". He always was and still is one of the sexyest rockers ever. Nice reaction. God Bless!🐢🇺🇸
And, Robert Plant, the best hair in rock and roll!! This song is from 69, and loved it then and love it now, 53 years later. There were no videos back then either. Pictures and the music. UA-cam was the best thing to come along for us old people to be able to see them live. 😊
You guy. Are so dam awesome.😜😜. I love yall 💕💕

Enjoy your ride listening to Zeppelin, you will find many other favorite song.
my favorite Zeppelin song is always the last one I heard. lol
@@brneydgrl1 I know, since everything is so great, I do have a favorite live though. Since I’ve Been Loving You, MSG (1973) the projection & passion is amazing as hell.
What a naughty reaction and I loved every second of it. Your reactions are such a joy to watch. Peace and have a wonderful day!
What an honest reaction you two. Thanks for diggin' on my music...........

Another great Led Zeppelin song is all of my love.
YOU GO GIRL!
This song changed everything...it ushered in the crazy 70s here in America...sex, drugs and Zeppelin...
LED ZEPPELIN are and will always be "THE GOD'S OF ROCK "😮😅😊
In the UK this song was used in a orchestral version as the title music for the BBC programme of popular Music. Top Of The Pops. Says it all really!
One of the real rock classics. There is a really cool version of the London Symphony Orchestra on their Album Classic Rock
the best couple chemistry! your reactions to the music i grew up with is great, love yall's (you guys) essence!
HELLO, FRIENDS!!! LOVE SOME LED ZEPPELIN!!! Such a VARIED catalogue!! GREAT RABBIT HOLE to dive into!! ENJOY!! HUGS!
love Led Zeppelin and this is one of my favorites. Naughty is fine by me, especially if Robert is vocalizing it-and I am 65. Ha!
Agree! Saw them twice..made me sweat❤ Plant pure sex appeal

Phenomenal classic from their 2nd album!! It's soooo good!! ❤
the strange noise you you hear in the middle is Jimmy playing the Theremin
This live in 1973 at msg is fantastic!! You are ready for Achillies Last Stand live 1979 at Knebworth!! Im nearly 64...i grew up with them!!
Led Zeppelin was a ground breaking band. Every element of their music pulls your mind into it. You can't help but feel it. I learned about LZ in 1972. That was quite an all around satisfying reaction
One of my favourite Zeppelin songs, so good.
Awe man ! Wish you had done the live version from the Madison Square Garden concert ! Don't miss out on the Madison Square Garden material.
Love the reaction and yes it was naughty but that was Zeppelin for you pushing boundary's along with Black Sabbath and Deep Purple.
This was the era of "Sex, Drugs, and Rock-n-Roll" after all... Wonderful reaction, love it!
Favourite track from them 👍
1969--this song changed the world of Rock and Roll. I was 13 when it came out, and filled with hormones and unsatisfied yearnings, I definately got the raw sensual subtext of the song ) as did all the boys of my time, lol. Thanks for the reaction!

Well it seems to me you're both very much enjoyed this video of Led Zeppelin. Y'all were a real treat to watch and listen to thank you.
Every inch of my love and back door man..wheres the naughty there lol
If you look up rock n roll in the dictionary this song is number one!
You guys are great!
I saw them on 5/30/77 right outside of Wash. DC. I had a seat right above the floor on Jimmy Page’s side.
Fantastic!

I grew up with them. Nice reaction. Beautiful puppy. Unbutton
The epic Zep...Always 'naughty'
A Theremin was used back then to create lots of psychodelia sounds...Jimmy loved improvising with it.
Dominica`s reaction of seeing Jimmy Using a violin Bow on his Guitar was priceless. That was my reaction too the 1st time I seen that. If you Guys havent done it yet you have to listen to "Kashmir"!
Like your fresh approach to reactions..honest and smiling..and of course..digging the song (s)
Exactly

Part of life in the seventies beautiful time didn't have a lot but happy
Love you guys but you pulled it up at an epic moment
Love your reaction! Definitely one of the steamiest songs they ever made!🔥
It's rock and roll, man!
❤
He is putting love to us. 🙃
Also from the same movie " Since I been Loving You "
This can only be topped by Kashmir played live at the O2 Arena in 2007; London
that racing sound is Page pulling a cello bow over the strings on his guitar
Well, looks like Domenicas had her fix so time for Andre to get his shirt off with Beth Harts version of this from Paradiso. You know you want to. Peace & Love. 🥰
Ha, you guys are hilarious
WHAT HE (JIMMY PAGE) WAS USING ON THE GUITAR WAS A VIOLIN BOW
Violin Bow across the Guitar
This is their only #1 hit

…….absolutely a “Naughty song !!! 🤣😵💫🤣❤️🔥🎸
🤩👍💥💯🎶
