You mentioned Floyd.... Led Zepp are the Yang to the Pink Floyd Ying, the two biggest rock bands in the world during the 70's They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands ever. Definitely check out Led Zeppelin - "Since I've been Loving You" or "Stairway to Heaven" both live at Madison Square Gardens 1973
I've been waiting for you two to listen to Zeppelin here's a link to all of their songs in order ua-cam.com/play/PL34RkyNxMtmw91urP07awADwtHUEW2fgO.html
Sorry to have to say this but LED ZEPPELIN does not remind you of any other bands, but other bands remind you of LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!! Just my thoughts, great reaction though. Next try the OCEAN by LED ZEPPELIN.
Yes!!!! "Since I've Been Loving You" live is just INCREDIBLE. There's a part of the performance where a young lady just started laughing at HOW good Robert Plant was, and that pretty much sums up the seductive power Zeppelin had when they played. No one else like them, before or after. Period.
comparing Zep to GnR is like comparing Milli Vanilli to Mozart and GnR came almost two decades later and would be the ones sounding like Zep . This was a rare moment in music history when all four members were among the tops of their respective disciplines and they had the chemistry that gave us the magic rarely seen .
I emphatically agree with you. Comparing Guns and Roses to Zeppelin is an unconscionable and abominable statement. Robert Plant in particular is arguably the greatest rock vocalist ever. This is exactly what I've come to expect from expect from Gen Z girls. I really don't want to be rude but perhaps you aught to stick to reacting to artists like Taylor Swift and other such lyrical drivel
The guitarist from Guns N Roses was inspired to play guitar after listening to Led Zeppelin’s guitarist Jimmy Page, one of the best guitarist of all time
Easy to get pulled into the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. Not a bad album in their entire catalog. Their music is a combination of blues, folk, reggae, and whatever else they were listening to, with a bit of Tolkien thrown in as well.
The members are John Richard Baldwin (John Paul Jones), the bassist, John Henry Bonham, the drummer, James Patrick "Jimmy" Page, the guitarist, and Robert Anthony Plant, the lead singer.
Led Zeppelin is known for having some of the greatest rock musicians join together in a band. The drummer is considered by many as the greatest drummer in rock history. The bassist is probably one of top 5 bassist in rock, the guitarist is in the top 5 and lead vocalist is in the top 3. The song you listened to is on their 2nd album, Led Zeppelin II, which was released in 1969. That’s probably why it might sound a little trippy to you guys as it was made during the psychedelic rock era. Another song to listen to is “Dazed and Confused”, also from 1969, but from their first album. Try doing a live version as you need to see jimmy page play the cello bow on his guitar. Then, do “since I’ve been loving you” from their 3rd album. Definitely do the live version for this, specifically at their Madison Square Garden show in 1973. Then do “stairway to heaven” from their 4th album from 1971. “No Quarter” and or “the Rain Song” from their Houses of the Holy album from 1973. From their 1975 Physical Graffiti album, do “Kashmir” and “In my time of dying”. Kashmir is probably better doing the studio version, while “in my time of dying”, you really need to do live version from Earl’s Court show from 1975. There’s a lot more to listen to, but with these songs I’ve listed you will get a good understanding of their excellent musicianship.
Robert Plant is frequently voted top rock vocalist as is Bonham top rock drummer of all time. Jimmy Page is considered anywhere in the top three lead guitarists and JPJ in the top 10 bassists, but he's also a multi-instrumentalist which more than compensates for his slightly lower ranking. No other band ever had this much of a concentration of musical talent and probably never will again. With all the computer electronics in pop music these days, musicianship has been relegated to the back seat..
One thing Zeppelin ain’t is predictable. Welcome to the club. Too many great songs to recommend. Obviously Stairway is iconic but that’s not unusual for them either. Maybe you should see them live to really appreciate what they do. Kashmir live at Knebworth 1979 is a pretty epic way to start. My favorite Led Zeppelin song is usually the last one I listen to. Enjoy the rabbit hole 🐰 🕳
I would love to see your reactions to.. " Over the hills and far away..! " One of my personal favorites... Of the many dozens of other favorite Zepplin jams I absolutely love ...this is an undeniably Epic Legendary Rock band..! I hope to see you react to many more of their songs..
At 5:41 when you say "that part was kind of hypnotizing," and "trippy," and "you want to hear it again," is considered the "Orgasm" part of the song by many rockers because as you know the lyrics are about going way down inside and whole lotta lovin. So you girls felt it...Awesome!!!
@@lyndoncmp5751 Well yes they have done their own versions of existing blues songs but they've given them their own unique spin, Plant's vocals are easily some of the highest and the most powerful, his harmonica solo is awesome and the guitar solo combined with Bonham's sick fills is absolutely orgasmic, where you have gaps in his drumming just at the right time, for me it's an absolute masterpiece. So if you want to believe it's 'just a blues cover' then by all means go for it, everyone's taste is different, but if any band was to cover any of these songs I'm glad Zeppelin did. The original title with a lot of or all of the lyrics may not be their own but it is still THEIR version of it. I don't really at all see how it's a 'bad choice' just because it's not 100% original. Not only isn't there a single song on earth that is absolutely 100% original anyway, but just because it isn't completely original that doesn't mean it isn't just as if not miles more explosive. So believe what you want and like whatever you want to like but for me this isn't 'just a blues cover' it's an absolutely epic emotionally charged Led Zeppelin song inspired by a great blues song.
@@padleybonnerproductions2057 The studio versions of the two Willie Dixon songs they covered on the first album are pretty standard for me. Certainly not mind blowing. The two weakest songs on the first album are the two Willie Dixon Covers. You Shook Me and I Can't Quit You Babe, although the live version of the latter from the Royal Albert Hall in 1970 is fantastic. Now, if you want Led Zeppelin totally reworking old blues songs into almost completely different works of art then When The Levee Breaks and Travelling Riverside Blues are far better choices than You Shook Me. It is not a song that is recommended much as it's not really Zeppelin as Zeppelin. Just saying. Peace. Cheers. Edit. I mean sure they can get to You Shook Me at some point but Id put at least 50 other Zeppelin songs as a must listen to before that.
So the next thing to do with Zep is to listen to the most selling song in Rock History which would be "Stairway to heaven". After that I would recommend to look at what Ann and Nancy Wilson from "Heart" did with it at "The Kennedy Center Honors" in front of the surviving members of Led Zeppelin. The greatest cover I have ever heard!!!
100% agreed. Watching Page, Jones, and Plant watching teary-eyed as Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart and Jason Bonham, the son of their deceased drummer John Bonham, combine for an extraordinary rendition of "Stairway to Heaven".
When I was a teenager my neighbor had a quad stereo system with speakers in all four upper corners of the room. The instrumentals literally ran circles around the room. I can imagine what it would sound like on a Boze Surround Sound system.
Earls Court '75 the absolute best . MSG is fantastic but Earls court has a wider selection of their catalog and they were hitting their peak . Either way '73, '75 it's Zep so it's a win win .
Welcome ladies to the world of Zeppelin.... buckle up and enjoy the ride !!! Oh to be able to listen to their catalog of music with virgin ears... brace yourselves and prepare to be sonically amazed🎸🎸🎸🎸
Led Zeppelin is considered by many to be the greatest rock band ever, as influential to the 70's as the Beatles were to the 60's. PS: "Whole Lotta Love" was one of their very early songs and even primitive by comparison to what would follow.
Maybe 'primitive' but it ranks not only as my favorite Led Zep song but arguably my favorite song of all time. Primitive = good. I regularly listen to '60s garage punk, not THAT is primitive!
Led Zeppelin were first known as "The New Yardbirds" in 1968. They released their fist album in January 1969 with "Led Zeppelin II" following later in 1969 with "Whole Lotta Love" featured on that album.
They are very diverse band. They play different styles, sometimes hard rock, sometimes blues, sometimes folky and they have also hit on a few other genres occasionally. Their most famous song is Stairway to Heaven and while it is overplayed to most of us long time fans, it's probably the next song you should react to as it's epic. My favorites are Ten Years Gone and Achilles Last Stand but there are many choices. Good Times Bad Times, Dazed and Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Over the Hills and Far Away and just so many more.
Welcome to THE GREATEST BAND IN HISTORY!!! Enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole of the deepest and most consistent catalog of music ever produced by one band.
Led Zeppelin is single handedly responsible for half the population of my age (43) and all of us gen X-ers. Our parents came of age with the Beatles, but let loose with Led Zeppelin. ... and after that the Heart cover at Kennedy Center Honors, the only one who could do this with giving the song justice is Ann Wilson with her unbelievable voice and passion.
Stairway is probably their most recognizable song but there are so many others that are as good and maybe even better. For me it's Kashmir, when I bought Physical Graffiti in 1975 that song stood out as the best on that album.
What the Beatles were to the 60's Led Zep was to the 70's the most successful band in that decade #1 in every category, I know I was there and saw them in 71.
Hey ladies, glad you got turned on to the mighty Zeppelin! If you think the middle of "Whole Lotta Love" was another song (within the song), check out Zeppelin's "Bring It On Home" and it's almost like two different songs in one. I'll give you a hint: get ready when the harmonica dies down ;)
We really liked this !! 😎🔥
*Also, we apologize for the lighting in this video lol

I can’t hear When The Levee Breaks anymore without thinking of what Katrina did to New Orleans.

Must do “ Stairway to Heaven” next....
Woooow!!!!!
Don't know Zep...Huh...Can't wait to see you people do 'Stairway'...
... and after that the Heart cover at Kennedy Center Honors, the only one who could do this with giving the song justice is Ann Wilson with her unbelievable voice and passion.
Stairway is probably their most recognizable song but there are so many others that are as good and maybe even better. For me it's Kashmir, when I bought Physical Graffiti in 1975 that song stood out as the best on that album.
Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir
What the Beatles were to the 60's Led Zep was to the 70's the most successful band in that decade #1 in every category, I know I was there and saw them in 71.
Led Zeppelin was a big influence on Guns n Roses so you are right
Led Zeppelin was a big influence on everyone that came after them.
True. If I remember correctly Zeppelin and Aerosmith is the only bands that all the GNR members had in common as influences.
