While James Hetfield was on the Howard Stern Show with Miley Cyrus (who covered the song) Elton John popped in on a video call (he played the piano for Miley Cyrus’s cover) and said this is one of the best songs ever written. James Hetfield reaction to that was him trying and failing to hold back tears. You can see it on UA-cam if you wish.
@@MiaintheMoment FYI, Hispanic: Roberto Trujillo has been Metallica's bassist for 24 years, & he proudly said: "Gracias mi madre y padre (for you raising me listening to all music!;) when Metallica was inducted into The Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame! 😢 😃

James Hetfield (vocals & guitar) wrote 'Nothing else matters' as a love song to his then-girlfriend while he was "on the road, trying to have a relationship..." Metallica was not known for writing love songs (Most of their lyrics r about war, death, destruction, madness, pain...) and this single became a huge pop hit in 1992... (Late) Classical music composer Michael Kamen added a classical string section to the track that u can hear in the background. The music video showed footage from the band's 1990 - '91 recording sessions for their 5th album, released in 1991 as the self-titled 'Metallica' album (often called 'the black album' for its black cover)... And if u think that the guys in Metallica look angry in the footage, it's because they were 😠 Those recording sessions cost $1 Million, took 1 year to complete and were marred by creative differences and infighting... James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich (drums) were at odds about the record's musical direction and when they weren't fighting each other... they were fighting w/ producer Bob Rock. Pretty soon, both Kirk Hammett (lead guitar) and Jason Newsted (now former Metallica bassist) were drawn into the clashes in the studio and the conflicts spilled into their personal lives as well... By the time the album was finished, 3 members got divorced... and James Hetfield was single again. Metallica hit the road in the fall of '91 as the 'black album' went to #1 in the charts and became a huge hit all over the world... 5 singles made it onto MTV - 'Enter Sandman' ... 'The Unforgiven' ... "Wherever I may roam" ... 'Nothing else matters'... and 'Sad but true'... and the album has sold 16 million copies in the US alone - their biggest-selling record in Metallica's catalog. In 1992, Metallica announced a stadium tour of N. America w/ Guns N' Roses... Disaster struck at the tour stop in Montreal, Canada when James Hetfield was nearly killed when a pyro went off onstage and burnt him severely - Metallica had to end their set as Hetfield was rushed to the hospital... Then, Guns N' Roses came on late... and ended their set early. Enraged fans in the stadium rioted and looted the venue that evening... James Hetfield was unable to play guitar due to his injuries and still returned to tour that year w/ a fill-in guitarist playing his parts live while he sang. Metallica's ordeal was captured on film and released as the documentary "A year and half in the life of Metallica'... The band continued to tour until the Summer of 1994 and finally opted to take a break. When Metallica returned in 1996 w/ a new album 'Load'... all 4 had cut their hair and looked like cab drivers 😂 and fans were irate at them for the image change and because that record was not a heavy metal record.
Best history lesson, the conflicts within the band were so bad after the black album sessions Jason(bass) left the band on bad terms. James(vocals/guitar) battled alcoholism and eventually went to rehab and got sober. I highly recommend watching there documentary some kind of monster just to see the inner turmoil that the band went through
I think this is the most beautiful song ever written. It has a profound effect on me. I have cried when listening to this more times than I could count. I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
It’s indisputable that this song is a timeless masterpiece. Even today, I listen to it occasionally, as its lyrics, music, and melodies captivate both the mind and soul in a magical, almost incomprehensible way. Metallica truly is legendary.
By the way, Mia, Metallica’s lifestyle and culture revolve around classic heavy metal, emphasizing personal freedom, perseverance, and introspection-values shaped during their rise in the '80s and '90s. Slipknot, on the other hand, embodies a darker, more chaotic, and rebellious ethos, reflecting their nu-metal roots from the late '90s.
5:03 Most metal bands with masks or makeup is actually kinda rare. Black/white makeup is more of a black metal thing, but masks are pretty rare. The more popular ones at the time were Slipknot, Mudvayne, Gwar, and Mushroomhead. More bands do it now, but is still kinda rare.
As I said doing metal bands always gets a good reaction 😅 and you couldn't have picked a more iconic band in the hole world 😅 your doing a great job 👏 👍 ❤

This band has a TON of good songs you can check out. The guitarist was trained by one of the best Rock guitarists Joe Satriani. He writes really melodic and almost "classical" guitar lines. Awesome reaction!
I'd say "cute" is a fitting term for Metallica. Especially if we're talking about Kirk (the guitarist with the black, curly hair). He was pretty dreamy back in the day.
The drummer, Lars Ulrich, was a ;Danish semi-pro tennis player before he went to San Francisco and started Metallica in '81 with James Hetfield, lead vocalist / rhythm guitarist. Awesome 1st reaction!
When Lars the drummer held up the picture they were looking at different designs for the album cover They went with that and that’s why they call it the black album

i like how you love Lars, the drummer. He gets a lot of flack for being the weakest in the band musically by some. But i will say, Lars fits perfectly, very unique song. Lars was also trying to pursue a pro tennis career. Then ended up going all in on the music life.
Metallica is a huge rabbit hole. The main things to know: Singer James Hetfield and Drummer Lars Ulrich started the band in 1981, They had Dave Mustaine on lead guitar but he was fired early on and replaced by Kirk Hammett (black, very curly hair), Bassist Cliff Burton (my profile pic) was killed when their tour bus crashed while on tour for the Master Of Puppets album, Cliff was replaced by Jason Newsted (bassist in this video) and Jason was replaced by Robert Trujillo. And that is the current line up. James, Lars, Kirk and Robert. There is much more to their story but thats the gist of it. Check out VH1 Behind The Music Metallica. Dave Mustaine went on to form the band Megadeth in which he sang and played guitar.
Your into drummers. You should check out Def Leppard. Their drummer lost an arm but didn't give up the band, but instead invented his own drums where his feet replaced his lost arm.
Metallica's top hits are: "Master of Puppets", "Enter Sandman" and "One". At least a dozen more of Metallica's songs were all over the radio back in the day so you won't go wrong with them. If you ever react to "One", research it during the reaction because it's rather deep. Their 1991 concert in Moscow is impressive, 1.6 million people were there. They played "Master of Puppets" and "Enter Sandman" there (as well as "Sad But True", another HUGE one of theirs). "Sad But True" is very easy on the ears, it's one that I think you'll really like since you gave "Nothing Else Matter" a 10/10. "One", you will prefer to see the music video, "Metallica: One (Official Music Video)".
Hi Mia! If you liked the drummer (Lars Ulrich) in this one, you DEFINITELY need to check out “Enter Sandman” from Live in Moscow 1991, Monsters of Rock. Playing the drums without a shirt. It might be a moist-maker for ya. 🤙🏼

Oh, if you like drums, you have to review some Tool. Maybe their song 'Vicarious'. Maybe '46&2'. That is, if you can handle amazingly creative odd time signatures and polyrhythms.
This song almost didn’t make it on the record. James didn’t wanna put it on there but Lars told him it’s going on the record. And he was right it’s brilliant.

Alright, so based on what you've said you liked & disliked, here are 5 songs you need to add to your list to react to: - Sleep Token - 'The Summoning' (I did recommend this already, & you acknowledged it. This is me doubling down. React to this sooner rather than later; Once you do, there'll no doubt be more recommendations in the comments section) - Deftones - 'Be Quiet & Drive' OR 'Digital Bath' OR 'Change (In the House of Flies)' - Jinjer - 'Pisces' (I also recommended this one already. Female-fronted metal band from Ukraine; Starts out pleasant enough, but when it hits (and you'll know it when it does), you're going to be in complete awe of what you're hearing) - Bad Omens - 'Just Pretend' OR 'The Death of Peace of Mind' OR 'Limits' (I think you said in another video that you liked Linkin Park; these guys are a similar vibe. There's also another song they did with Poppy called 'V.A.N.' that's very cool, too) - Karnivool - 'We Are' (maybe if I can get enough people react to them, I can will their next goddamn album that I've been waiting 11 years for into existence...)
You like Drummer boys?? Check out Cognizance - Fever Dream Drum Playthrough by David Diepold. One of the best drummers I’ve ever seen. Won’t be disappointed.

Drum love? Metallica "Sad But True" from this same album. But as others have mentioned most of their songs (especially their older tracks) were faster/harder than this. I'll add to what others have also said: your honest reaction is valuable so don't let the comment section stifle you!
All the reaction channels hit the same songs. I wish someone would go out on a limb from time to time. Maybe you could be that reaction channel? Here are a couple of amazing tunes: Haggard - The Observer (I hope you're ready for death metal, BUT this is a mix of death metal and classical music) Countless Skies - Zephyr (post-modern mixed with progressive death metal)

Welcome to the Metallica Rabbit Hole. Metallica has so many amazing songs. The topics they cover can get quite deep. (Master of Puppets - Drug addiction, One - The horrors of war, Fade to Black - Suicide) and many many more. They are masters at tempo transitions and will frequently change tempo mid song just to catch you off guard. They are also amazing at conveying the feeling of the lyrics into the music. When you listen to One listen for the sounds of the machine guns in the drums, or the sounds of hoof beats in The Four Horseman (a song about the four horsemen of the apocalypse). Truly masters of their art!!!

Her name is Brittany Renner. She took nba player PJ Washington to the cleaners. Had his kid then left him so she would get paid for it. Then has been on many podcasts showing her nasty bi-polar self. Ratchet 304 here. Look her up. And then stay away! This is a scam youtube channel. Another way for her to make easy money.
thanks so much love this comment
if you would like to see what Metallica s drummer really can do, you should watch their performance of Master of Puppets in Seattle 1989
Time to watch some Seattle 1989 🤘
If you like drums, Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars
u can never go wrong with Metallica!!!
Metallica powered through hair metal, grunge, punk, pop, sodapop. And still pushing forward with hits they're the goat.
i like how you love Lars, the drummer.
"One", you will prefer to see the music video, "Metallica: One (Official Music Video)".
will check all of this out thanks so much
One of my favorites song your playing some old classics keep em up
you are welcome and more to come!
@@MiaintheMoment thanks 🤯
Finally a decent band on your channel. Here other good ones. Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judast Priest, Motley Crue, Faith no More, etc..
thanks for the suggestions!
Mia, it's one of my favorite's! Check out Led Zepplin's "The Unforgiven"!
Hi Mia! If you liked the drummer (Lars Ulrich) in this one, you DEFINITELY need to check out “Enter Sandman” from Live in Moscow 1991, Monsters of Rock. Playing the drums without a shirt. It might be a moist-maker for ya. 🤙🏼
Cool, thanks!
You really need to explore - LACRIMOSA - TRACK - Sacrifice (Hingabe, Part 1) Its one of the best for a starter! But really they are more deep then this track... The ending is so perfect and beautiful! Once you hear them you will be a fan ;)
will put this on the list
@@MiaintheMoment Please do its such a great band - Its in German but don't let that scare you away! I'm sure you have this channel to explore different music and taste ..Use this platform to do so ;) Believe me when you hear the violin at the end its like nothing you will experience!!!!
That's it boys. Time to buy that drum set...
lol omg, gold comment
Ma'am, you can say whatever you want we are here for your reactions! Don't worry about the know it all and trolls. I love some rock and metal but they also have the most unbearable diehard fans. I think you're doing great. Ohh and you're cute🤭 I know I already suggested this but "gimmie 3 steps" by lynyrd skynyrd and I'll throw a new one at ya lol "What it's like" by Everlast

Watching her reaction to the drums suddenly has me wanting to become a drummer!
lol love it
@@MiaintheMomentthis is my first time seeing your channel and I always like to see younger people that may not have been exposed to this type of music reacting to bands like Metallica!!
When you said that you loved drummers, I felt it VERY necessary to share this link with you!! I've just discovered this young lady myself and here she is doing a drum cover to a Metallica song!!

@@MiaintheMomentif you like it please react to it on your channel.❤
Oh, if you like drums, you have to review some Tool. Maybe their song 'Vicarious'. Maybe '46&2'. That is, if you can handle amazingly creative odd time signatures and polyrhythms.
This song almost didn’t make it on the record. James didn’t wanna put it on there but Lars told him it’s going on the record. And he was right it’s brilliant.
Great reactions. I'm from Minnesota. Let's get some Prince.
ok for sure will try some prince
@@MiaintheMoment Glad to hear it. There's a live performance of the song "America" where Prince plays the drums. Perhaps you could start there.
if you want drums, listen to Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold
ok will do thanks
Hi Mia. Great reactions🙂
You should try Dead Sara- Weatherman
And definitely Nightwhish
thanks so much
Pleasure. Enjoy
I can't concentrate on the video for two reasons.
I came for the beauty, I'll subscribe for the brains. All views and comments count, though. She knows that. At least she took some pride in her setup too.
Two big reasons.
Puppies equals automatic click
If you wanna hear the heavy side of Metallica then you should react to "Enter Sandman" or "One".
@@gabriel.p.teixeira0498 "Enter Sandman" Live in Moscow 1991 for 1.6 million fans!
& "One" Official Music Video (w movie clips;)
(I'm jus' sayin' for Mia's sake;)
ok doing that next
Sad but true is also a good pick.
@@dylanramirez9890especially for it’s heavy riff and drums. Fade to Black is a classic
If you love drummers you might want to review a Rush song... although it might be way too out there for you. I would suggest Tom Sawyer official video
Metallica is from the 80's Slipknot 2000-ish. You should start from the beginning Kill'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets
again, i just don't understand why i'm into these videos
😂
May I suggest Iron Maiden doing hallowed be thy name. The older version… up the irons!!!! 🤘🤘
ok i can do that
If you love the drums you need some "Rush" on your channel. Maybe check out "Spirit Of Radio" by them.
If you really like drums, check out Godsmack - Batalla de los Tambores and Tool - Pneuma Danny Carey (Vic Firth). 🤘
ok thanks for this
Apparently James and Lars clashed a lot with producer Bob Rock during the production of the Black Album and you can see when Lars is looking at the camera all pissed off 😅
oh wow thanks for the history
@@MiaintheMoment 🤙🔥
If you want to see some cool makeup watch KISS “I was made for loving you.”
i wil have to check them out
Alright, so based on what you've said you liked & disliked, here are 5 songs you need to add to your list to react to:
- Sleep Token - 'The Summoning' (I did recommend this already, & you acknowledged it. This is me doubling down. React to this sooner rather than later; Once you do, there'll no doubt be more recommendations in the comments section)
- Deftones - 'Be Quiet & Drive' OR 'Digital Bath' OR 'Change (In the House of Flies)'
- Jinjer - 'Pisces' (I also recommended this one already. Female-fronted metal band from Ukraine; Starts out pleasant enough, but when it hits (and you'll know it when it does), you're going to be in complete awe of what you're hearing)
- Bad Omens - 'Just Pretend' OR 'The Death of Peace of Mind' OR 'Limits' (I think you said in another video that you liked Linkin Park; these guys are a similar vibe. There's also another song they did with Poppy called 'V.A.N.' that's very cool, too)
- Karnivool - 'We Are' (maybe if I can get enough people react to them, I can will their next goddamn album that I've been waiting 11 years for into existence...)
thanks so much for this breakdown!
You like Drummer boys?? Check out Cognizance - Fever Dream Drum Playthrough by David Diepold. One of the best drummers I’ve ever seen. Won’t be disappointed.
Ilove sing metalica is the Best for you reaction yees beautiful ilove you mat from Indonesia
Not hippies men have been wearing their hair long for as long as time ❤ you have lived a sheltered life its OK 😮 we all have time to grow 😮😅
yes very sheltered i want to really open my mind
There should never be any thing to stop you from learning an elder told me once There is something to learn every day you just have to stop and listen and watch, keep your mind open and free. Take it from an older person heart ❤ 💙 keep learning keep an open heart ❤
You will love Rammstein and the Drummer
thanks for this
@@MiaintheMomentCheckout Nightwish from 2013 @ Wacken. The entire show is epic drums.
It’s always different watching vanilla meet the real world. Not meaning to be insulting but that’s what I see
If u love drums, then check out Dave Lombardo war ensemble, seasons of abyss, angel of death
If you're into drums and drummers, look no further than Danny Carrey of Tool; one of the greatest.
ok will do thanks
Drum love? Metallica "Sad But True" from this same album. But as others have mentioned most of their songs (especially their older tracks) were faster/harder than this. I'll add to what others have also said: your honest reaction is valuable so don't let the comment section stifle you!
thanks for the recommendation
All the reaction channels hit the same songs. I wish someone would go out on a limb from time to time. Maybe you could be that reaction channel? Here are a couple of amazing tunes:
Haggard - The Observer (I hope you're ready for death metal, BUT this is a mix of death metal and classical music)
Countless Skies - Zephyr (post-modern mixed with progressive death metal)
There is bunch of reactors that do extremely diverse songs.
THE WOLF HUNTERZ
MUSIC RECIRDIG NETWORK
NATHAN BROWN MUSIC
Hey Mia jus found this channel are u still going to post on ur original channel? Ill support u on both jus curious keep doing u luv both channels ❤
i might post there but more focused here for now
@@MiaintheMoment I hear ya jus wanted to check. If u are interested in other Metallica songs I'd suggest Master of Puppets Enter Sandman For Whom the Bell Tolls Ride The Lightning & King Nothing keep on rocking Mia 🖤💕💋
You want to see drums do Tool Pnuema Danny Carey Live. Tool is a rabbit hole just as worthy as Metallica
Great reaction! Also you're very beautiful. I recommend some classic rock like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, or Pink Floyd.
aww thanks babe and love the reccomendatoins
Girl you gonna have like 2 million drummers slidin in those dm's!! Love to see you react to some Ghost. Probably live performance of Mary on a Cross would be a fun introduction for you.
lol omg you are probably right
I hope that she realizes that what she's got going on upstairs is almost as interesting as everything else. She gets it.
Try Fade To Black. Bring tissues.
ok for sure
Classic. Another great pick❤
thanks babe
If you’re looking for recommendations for a reaction, do one for The Warning. They are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico, latinas like you. They play a rock and the majority of their catalog is in English. I would highly recommend to react to their performance on the VMA’s rocking out “Evolve”. You’ll fall in love with the drummer. She is Drumeo Drummer of 2023. If you want your subscriptions to double or triple, react to that song. The Warning Army, TWA, is super loyal to the band. Trust me on this. Remember, VMAs The Warning Evolve. I will subscribe as soon as you do this song and many more will do so, also.
