Metal and rock have been merging their sound with elements of classical and symphonic since the turn of the millennium, with fantastic results. The two complement each other so well, that it is said that if guys like Beethoven and Mozart were alive today, they would be metalhead rockers, dead stop.
Just because a music video or audio doesn't have alot of views doesn't mean the song is bad and it really is up to you whether you enjoy the song or not
November Rain was played multiple times a day on MTV when it came out, and everyone fell in love with this ballad. When a rock band puts out multiple head-banging albums, a rock ballad is a great gift for maturing fans. Such power & emotion in Axl’s vocals.
Looking gorgeous as always loved the reaction beautiful one of my favorite songs from guns and roses November rain but one of their best songs that they do hate though Sweet child of mine welcome to the jungle in paradise city is also going to check that one out too gorgeous❤ slash in my opinion goes up there with one of the greatest guitar players of all time next to Jimi Hendrix Santana and my boy and gets young of ACDC a lot of people don't know that he's black but that man can play the guitar really good😊
I love this song, Mia. Thanks for the reaction, enjoyed that. I call this the song with the Tardis Church song! In that the wedding church appears to hold approximately 1m guests, then for Slash's solo scene, church becomes the size of a dogs kennel! Those who watch Dr Who will know my Dr Who analogy, those who don't, Google it!
For faster Guns N Roses songs to react to: Welcome to the jungle It’s so easy Night train You could be mine Thing is, most rock bands have slow songs, but they’re generally few compared to the fast songs. The slow songs typically got more views because they were hits amongst a wider segment of the mainstream (girls liked more of the slow songs from these bands). It’s like the first Alice In Chains song you reacted to was a slow song, Down in a hole, but most of their stuff is heavier.
It's tough to listen to Guns n' Roses nowadays, it didn't age as well as other bands. Although I have to say these guys were very good song writers, specially during the Use Your Illusion era. Both albums are very good but the songs Coma, Estranged, Don't Cry and Civil War are masterpieces, just to name a few.
Sometimes a first listen to a song doesn't make the impression that it eventually makes after playing it more. Some of my favorite songs/bands were "meh" or "no way" the first time I heard them....
❤ hey Mia you do your reactions the way you feel like 👍 I think you're doing a awesome job considering you were sheltered from a lot of music 🎶 I have faith in you 😉
Hi Mia great reaction, when you get a chance you should check out Stevie Ray Vaughan “life without you live at capital theater” Stevie is considered by many to be the greatest guitarist of all time, Stevie is blues/soul/southern rock and the guitar playing in this song will blow your hair back he does things with a guitar that will blow your mind.
Ballads/Power-Ballads are a time-honoured tradition for rock and metal. Axl was deeply inspired aand loved performing with Elton John so it is easy to see some of the inspiration seeping into GnR's later work. If you havent yet you GOT to check out Meatloafs' Bat out of Hell and a song he did with Cher called Dead Ringer for Love.
Mia, we love watching you get introduced to these iconic classics, just make sure not to stop during a solo. In hard rock/metal, even slow songs, guitar solos are highly prized and given acclaim as much as the song in general. You want to hear the solo in full and how it flows into the next section. If you do need to cut off shortly after a solo starts, that's okay, just rewind it some when you start again.
The unspoken rule of ALL music reactions. No interruptions during guitar solos. I personally don’t mind as long as you eventually listen to the whole thing in it’s entirety for the context of how it fits into a particular song. I always love watching people react to the coda (coda is a piece of music that is different than the rest of the song but is used to end the composition)
@@nathanlandry1016 - right! I just want the whole solo listened to without break. So if they stopped after 10 sec of the solo. that's okay.... IF.... they go back before the solo to start again. I think Mia missed out a bit on the flow of this first solo. But when the 2nd solo hit, she heard it all the way through uninterrupted, and we heard a "wow" from her. Those are the special moments I want to see from a reactor on a great solo.
@@nathanlandry1016 - Yeah, this coda gets big praise by reactors. Some love how it amps up, which is great, but for me it's the morbid sound of the guitar lead riff and the singing chant that really hits hard on the emotions. I think reactors may not realize the morbidity of it consciously, but they can feel it. ---Speaking of codas, you really don't hear much of them anymore. I mean new metal has movement segments, but those aren't classic codas. GNR had several: Patience, November Rain, Sweet Child for starters. The Beatles had lots. I think Ben Kweller is the only one I know of in the past 25 years with "In Other Words", tho not a great coda, but excellent song.
@ That little harmonic minor motif that’s repeated is super satisfying to me. Although, I really enjoy the piano that starts the coda. Fun to play. Sad we don’t see things like this anymore
One of the great things about these bands form that time period was the range and depth of their music. It wasn't the same song every track and I know. Patience and Don't cry are my fav GnR songs and they're not head bangers at all. Love you take on it though.
At the time it was made, this was the most expensive music video ever made. It is also Axl's masterpiece when it comes to ballads, at least in many people's eyes. there are a lot of details here that are easily missed the first time you watch it, so you may have to watch it a few times to understand the meaning without reading all the comments.

GnR is my all time favorite band. My opinion “November Rain” and Don’t cry” is their best work. Harder songs are night train, my Michelle, you could be mine. Check em out.
I love this song. Probably Slash at his best. My favorite GNR songs were never singles, but they are Rocket Queen, Civil War, and Locomotive. Other of their big hits I would suggest would be Sweet Child O' Mine, Estranged, and Welcome to the Jungle.

The song was a double A-side with "Mr. Brownstone" and reached number 84 on the UK Singles Chart." 'Welcome to the Jungle' was the single that broke them in the mainstream almost a year after being released...
You called it with the innovation. They were definitely broadening their horizons at this point. It was featured on the double album Use Your Illusion 1&2. I still play both on a regular basis. You should try Estranged Don’t Cry Civil Wars Knocking on heaven’s door The older stuff you should try is Rocket Queen Night Train It so Easy And the Infamous “Welcome to the Jungle”
Yes, this Guns N' Roses in 1991 was definitely a change from the band from 1987... they had gone from a 5-piece hard rock band into a 6-piece (plus live musicians) arena rock act... and there were ballads, country songs and rockers on the 2 'Use your illusion' albums by Guns N' Roses. W. Axl Rose (vocals) demanded $1.5 Million to make this extravagant video in 1992 for 'November rain'... a song that was inspired by grand piano ballads by Elton John... It was Part 2 of a music video trilogy that started w/ the Guns N' Roses ballad "Don't cry"... both videos featured Axl Rose's then-GF supermodel Stephanie Seymour... (Axl's character dies in Part 1... Stephanie's character dies in Part 2, depicting November rain that falls on their wedding day... and 1 year later at her funeral) Part 3 was the music video 'Estranged'... filmed without Stephanie Seymour in '93 (She and Axl Rose broke up) where Axl's character is depicted struggling w/ life after loss... If want more rockin' tunes by Guns N' Roses, I suggest the songs - 'Rocket queen' ... 'Live and let die' (Paul McCartney cover)... 'My Michelle' ... 'Locomotive'...
Though I love this song, it has a time andn place for me. Rocket Queen is what you're looking for from their 1st album. Going to keep on you about going down the Godsmack rabbit hole. You seem to enjoy good, upbeat fast hard rock and drums seem your thing. Godsmack is going to be amongst your faves...Shannon Larkin is a phenomenal drummer and just plain super fun to watch....and Sully's vocals are incredible. Straight Out of Line, Crying Like a B^tch, When Legends Rise and 1000 HP are just a few of many.
The billion views do not always grant a beautiful song, but you're choosing the best that goes over a million! Good job, I love guns and roses, November Rain it's one of their best for sure

You should listen to “Love to Love” by UFO. One of the best songs ever. Axl just did the vocals for the song on Michael Schenker’s new album and it’s good but the original by UFO is EPIC!
@ Oh was it? According to whom? You? So what do you think is more disrespectful? Mia, on HER CHANNEL, on HER JOURNEY, stopping wherever she pleases? ORRRRRR you making a Snide comment on guitar solo “Rules”, on HER CHANNEL, on HER JOURNEY? But if I even have to ask that question……well you know the rest, right?
Orchestra music and rock music can mesh together really well if done right. Metallica did it on "No Leaf Clover". I think that's the one. I'm sure there are several more. Alter Bridge did a whole concert at the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra. Sounded amazing. This was the second song in a 3 song trilogy. "Don't Cry" and "Estranged" were the first and last ones.
You REALLY need to check out Ill Niño and Hed PE. They will be more your style and they m go hard af. Ill Niño is a Spanish NuMetal band that mixes melodic and metal… you won’t regret checking them out. Té Amo I Hate You is a good place to start. As for Hed PE anything from the albums Broke and Blackout are pure gold. They mix rap with metal and it’s one of a kind. You’ll vibe HARD with Jared the lead singer. Dude is legit. They are more my style because they bring the hood to punk/NuMetal
If you’re looking for a good fast and hard song from guns and roses try “you could be mine” it’s pretty heavy and was used on the terminator 2 soundtrack!
Great reaction, I had the exact same when I first heard it. It took me a while to like it though. Coming from a love of dance / house / EDM, you try You Could Be Mine, a fast, drum heavy song of theirs. I reckon you'd love it
Mia. Do yourself a favor (and us) and invest the time to listen to pink Floyd's "dark side of the moon" all the way through from beginning to end. It is arguably the greatest rock album of all time. I'm sure everyone will agree it's a life changing experience. Lol
Oh I’m sorry, I forgot the name on “Mia’s” channel was “ShawnsDontEverStopDuri gAGuiyarSolo”. Dude, you gave her some kool songs to listen to, and even a lil back ground to go with. Why do that, then act like you made “Guitar Solo” Rules, and give her what sounded like an order? Respect rules, go over those.
Yeah, you called it. It was part of their growth and trying to expand horizons as a band. The 1st two songs you reacted to were off their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, which was pure hard rock (and the greatest debut album of all time, imo). This was off their 3rd album, Use Your Illusion (I and II, double album). A lot of good songs on those albums, but a decent amount of average as well. Unfortunately, there was no more growth after this, as they broke up soon after these albums were released. But they have been back together since 2016, and still touring successfully.
Consider doing Judas Priest Beyond the Realms of Death, Hypocrisy Chemical Whore, Lorna Shore Pain Remains and To the Hellfire, Metallica Welcome Home Sanitarium, Ratt Body Talk, shadow of Intent from ruins we rise, Black veil brides Lost it all, Ad infinitum Somewhere better, Parasite inc, pule of the dead, Sylosis after lifeless years, Diamond head sweet and innocent, In flames, met your maker, Nita Strauss the wolf you feed, Halestorm break in eating Amy Lee, Scorpions send me an angel
Sure great songs have 2B views but its not always the case. Many great songs have less. Others to try. Rush - Tom Sawyer Triumph - Lay it On the Line Black Sabbath - Loner Judas Priest - Painkiller (great for your squats) You never answered about ACDC. However, I think Overdose is outstanding.
You need something with more drums. Try Queen - Radio Gaga and go for the Live Aid version. It has to be the 4 minutes 50 seconds version, not the shorter one, or you'll miss a special moment with your spirit animal Freddie Mercury at the end of the performance. You won't regret it
mia babe, have, i can not remember, reacted to led zeplins "stairway to heaven" yet, just to let you know, its a slow burn to start, but however, it is a classic rock song, that everyone, and i mean everyone, knows, please please please react to it, yes it is a old song, but jimmy page on quitar is a joy to behold, oh do mia listen

Night Train should be your next G&R reaction...very hard rockin song 🎵....you'll love it
Love the reaction as always 😊. I used to play this while holding my son and it would put him to sleep before the end of the song.
Awesome… and, you’re NEVER wrong!!
stopping during the solo was wrong
@ Oh was it? According to whom? You? So what do you think is more disrespectful? Mia, on HER CHANNEL, on HER JOURNEY, stopping wherever she pleases? ORRRRRR you making a Snide comment on guitar solo “Rules”, on HER CHANNEL, on HER JOURNEY? But if I even have to ask that question……well you know the rest, right?
@ well known fact, look at the top comment. But you keep doing the fanboy thing. Maybe she will notice you 😂😂🤡
You should listen to Guns n' roses live version of Knocking on Heaven's Door from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert
Estranged my favorite GnR song.
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts...I hate myself for loving you
I think Guinness World Records is in your future.
?
Orchestra music and rock music can mesh together really well if done right. Metallica did it on "No Leaf Clover". I think that's the one. I'm sure there are several more. Alter Bridge did a whole concert at the Royal Albert Hall with an orchestra. Sounded amazing. This was the second song in a 3 song trilogy. "Don't Cry" and "Estranged" were the first and last ones.
I think you will dig "Estranged" ! It's quite a lenghty song like november rain but it's more heavy than symphonic ! Greetings from France 🥂🌹🌹🌹🌹
You'd rock that dress, and make someone so lucky, great reaction
She definitely will she's so pretty
@@stornowayscotland you won’t be the lucky one with that attitude. “Someone” like you’re happy some other dude is getting in on the act ahead of you 😂
@@RubenGiles-x4j what kind of smack is that from a guy named Ruben
Great reaction, I had the exact same when I first heard it. It took me a while to like it though.
Coming from a love of dance / house / EDM, you try You Could Be Mine, a fast, drum heavy song of theirs. I reckon you'd love it
Try ‘You could be mine’. Same band. I think you will like it a lot more. I’m sure :)
Maybe she should listen to some Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N’ Roses
Yea she’d love it based on what I’ve seen from her.
Mia. Do yourself a favor (and us) and invest the time to listen to pink Floyd's "dark side of the moon" all the way through from beginning to end. It is arguably the greatest rock album of all time. I'm sure everyone will agree it's a life changing experience. Lol
this is part of a trilogy Don't Cry", "November Rain", and "Estranged" and you never stop during a guitar solo
This Song Epic whether it’s Slow or Fast and Axle Playing the Piano is Nod to Elton John who He is a big Fan of
Yeah, you called it.
Is the band you were trying to remember called “Santana”? And this song has one of the best guitar solos ever!
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Triumph - Lay it On the Line
Black Sabbath - Loner
Judas Priest - Painkiller (great for your squats)
You never answered about ACDC. However, I think Overdose is outstanding.
you should open an asmr channel your voice is very relaxing❤
If you like these type of arrangements then you should check out some symphonic metal bands like Nightwish!
You have to listen to welcome to the jungle by guns and roses. It’ll be your new favorite song until you listen to Dr feel good by Motley Crue!!
I know what song that is exciting and you will love!! Rage against the machine "down rodeo"
You need something with more drums. Try Queen - Radio Gaga and go for the Live Aid version. It has to be the 4 minutes 50 seconds version, not the shorter one, or you'll miss a special moment with your spirit animal Freddie Mercury at the end of the performance. You won't regret it
Def leopard /photograph ,,, you won’t be disappointed Mia
You should react do more reacts to Rob Zombie. Iron Head, Meet the Creeper, Living Dead girl....SO much Bangers (Just on one Album)
If you "love" drums, react to John Longstreth playthrough of "Saligia" by Origin
Would love to see you react to Snow - informer. You'll be really surprised by it.
The Beatles remake they did was something that you might like
Good lord woman, you are ridiculously gorgeous! Oh, I do like your reactions 😊
mia babe, have, i can not remember, reacted to led zeplins "stairway to heaven" yet, just to let you know, its a slow burn to start, but however, it is a classic rock song, that everyone, and i mean everyone, knows, please please please react to it, yes it is a old song, but jimmy page on quitar is a joy to behold, oh do mia listen
You're getting better and better, and you'll probably be at 50k in a couple weeks or so.
they sure will ( . )( . )

Good evening Mia, I am so glad you got to experience this Gem of musical talent by Guns n Roses. And more piano haha. Loved how immereced in the music yout were, from the muscians to the vocals. Love your indepth knowledge of music intrumental wise. I remember when this came out it took time for this song to grow on me, but in the end I loved it. Thankyou for your honest review of November Rain. A song slower, but with sympthony to hear is hotocols - A White Shade of Pale. ua-cam.com/video/St6jyEFe5WM/v-deo.html
Do Patience
La banda que escuchaba tu padre podría ser Héroes del silencio.
Mia, if you want a headbanger about rain - check out "Raining Blood" by Slayer. \m/
Come on.. Don't compare Guns N' Roses to Disturbed. Guns N' Roses are real talented musicians.
If you're looking for something harder check out Whitesnake Still of the night or Here I go again the guitar work is excellent
This is part of a trilogy
Now that's what I'm talking about 😊❤
Mia darling, try not to pause during the instrumental solos. Talk over them, pause during the chorus This allows you to appreciate the musicianship of rock/metal bands
We need the dirty diana😩😩
if you like the drums you should definitely listen to Motley Crue. "Wild Side"
Please react to more Led Zeppelin!!

Wishing you all the best with your channel!
I get you. This is not one of my favorite songs of theirs either. I would go to rocket Queen.
My favorite GNR song is Night Train, and it's not a ballad.
