    I'm not sure, but if i'm not mistaken, because of all the pressure from his father and the way the mainstrem music-circuit was developing at the time, on top of his own paranoia and beliefs, he was also trying to send a very good but "flawed" (when i say flawed is by the time he turned MTV into a mainstream way to make people rethink, mainly US, about what their own government, and allied ones, was/were doing)... All i'll say is that you should check "Man in the Mirror" For someone that understands history, all the sub-subtitles are there!

    Metal is HUGE in the Spanish countries. Try out some more Jinjer. Sepultura if you want to hear a popular spanish metal band from Brazil. They sing in English.

    The Beastie Boys made a massive smash in the rap world in 1987 with “Fight for your right”. It was the first time we’d seen young white kids mix rap with a more metal sound (so successfully).

    Tupac has so many great songs and can't go wrong with any of his songs. This song, the second verse, was going at Dr. Dre, which they had a fallout before Pac died. Other artists on this song, Danny Boy, who had great voice and was a Deathrow Artist, Aaron Hall, who was already an established artist, and recommended his song "I Miss You." K-Ci & Jojo were brothers, and before they went on their own, they were part of an amazing R&B group called Jodeci in the 90's. I recommended a few songs by them, and I think you would love them. K-Ci & Jojo songs - All my Life, Crazy & Life Jodeci songs - Freak'n you, Come & Talk to me, Feenin', Cry for you, Stay, Forever my lady.

    My favorite Queen song is ironically a fast one as in it sort of created a whole genre called speed metal or thrash metal, it's called, "Stone Cold Crazy."

    Hell yeah Mia talking bout that O.G. Star Trek. I'm loving it. Beastie Boys are the real ones. Their influence is still felt today. I recommend Fight for your right, or Sabotage. They are a rap/rock band. They can go back and forth between genres. These guys are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame too

    They recorded this song long before music videos were invented. But the harmony is better in the Simon & Garfunkel version that charted, and it's slower too. This version is not a true reflection of how good their song - written by Paul Simon - really sounds.

  • @andrew348
    @andrew348 45 хвилин тому

    People hate them because the playtime to musicianship ratio was out of whack. Too much play tome for such a generic sound. They're not bad or good just average.

    There is over a 50 year gap between Disturbed covering this song to when Simon & Garfunkle recorded it in 1965. Paul Simon wrote the lyrics. Also take in to account no technology available in 1965 then as is now with pitch correction and auto-tune. But you should dig deeper to the true story behind this song, here is a small excerpt: The Sound of Silence is a song released in 1965 by Simon and Garfunkel that became a smash hit worldwide, making it to the top 10 list in the U.S., the UK, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan. In 2012, the song was added to the National Recording Registry in the Library of Congress for being culturally important. Created by Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon, the song has an interesting story behind it - one that concerns Art Garfunkel and his close friend Sanford Greenberg. The friendship According to Greenberg, the song was a tribute to his strong bond with Garfunkel and the latter’s sacrifice, which ended up providing comfort to Greenberg when he lost his sight. Greenberg and Garfunkel met in their first week at Columbia University. It was Garfunkel who initiated the contact, coming over to say “Hi.” Soon, the two became roommates and found that they shared a common interest in music and poetry. The two young men made a pact to always be there for each other when faced with trouble. Just months later, Greenberg lost his sight. He was watching a baseball game when he experienced his vision becoming cloudy. Soon, he could only see darkness. Though the doctors diagnosed that he was suffering from conjunctivitis and the blindness would soon pass, it did not. It was later found that glaucoma had destroyed Greenberg’s optic nerves. Since Greenberg came from a simple home, his family did not have the money to help him out. As such, the young man dropped out of college. As you can see from the comments, Paul Simon wrote this song way back in the 60's, they didn't make music videos back then ( at least not very often ). There's another version of this with drums, which I think is better. On a side note, a little bit of trivia that only Rush fans would know, drummer Neil Peart who writes the lyrics, did a play on the last verse of this song in their song The spirit of radio, in which he wrote : for the words of the profits ( prophets ) are written on the studio wall, concert hall, and echoes with the sounds of salesmen !

    Just a little bit; a lot of fans think that Metallica sold out when they put the black album out that this song is on. I don’t think so, I just think they progressed and expanded their musical tastes and got better. A lot of their so-called fans wanted them to continue to just put out speed thrash metal; which is fine but it’s OK to change every now and then
