i bought a car with a private plate on it and i dont know the original plate if i take it off and wait for the v5c to come it should have the original plate and ill put that on right?
When you take it off it will say the original reg on the website! Should pop up saying “xxx” is ready to put back onto the car. If you need the original plates made, message my Instagram Y3S_Plates I can get them sent out asap for you
And when should we take the physical private plates off the car.. and put the old original reg number plates back on the vehicle? Once we receive the new V5C ? And wouldn’t it be a problem driving the vehicle with the private plate on while the request to take that off is in the process …? Thanks

What if you haven’t got the new car your putting the plates on yet ?
Can the dvla hold the info gor you until you’ve got the new car ?
You can only do it if you have all the right paperwork

Once the request is done, you put the original plates on straight away
