I’m looking for a plate, but couldn’t find it anywhere. I called the DVLA, they said that reg is never been issued. Also they gonna issue in 3-6 months via auction.
I’m wondering, how much will it’s cost? What will happen next ?

Just bought my new plates :) And hate to say this, "unless you already realized" but that number is illegal.
After a bit of research and designing my own i found that you need:-
The name, trademark or other way of identifying the
manufacturer or supplier
The name and postcode of the supplying outlet" Taken for gov.uk
On the footer of your number plate.

Meanwhile, in any state of the USA or any province of Canada, you can order a completely personalized plate for WAY less than the prices in Britain - just as long as nobody already has it, or that it's not considered obscene.

Just came across your video because im buying my private reg for the first time soon and wanted to do more research before I purchase it but dam this video made me laff keep up the good work. Also just wanted to ask what is the size of the plates you ordered from that website and are they road legal. Also once I’ve purchased my plate from the DVLA website will I get a new log book automatically through the post or do I need to do anything online?

Hi Max, to be honest I'm totally new to personalised number plate business. Is this correct if I was to buy a personalised number plate from DVLA and they'll issue V750, but I don't want to assign to a vehicle and will I have 10 years retention?
I had thought that if you purchase a plate, it’s yours forever. However, there may well be a curfew by which time you need to have them on a registered car. Sorry not to be of more help.

I’m afraid I’m not 100% as to the legality of footer/headers. Generally they aren’t an issue but I can’t guarantee they’re legal!

I’m turning 17 this month, and I actually want to buy a private reg before I pass my test, otherwise I’ll never have the money to do so once I start driving haha - is this possible? Do I need a car?
It certainly is possible! When buying the place from the DVLA site, all you need is a credit/debit card! You can sort the paperwork stuff (putting the plate on the car) once you’ve got it!
I’m considering buying a whole load of MB10 number plates soon, in the hope that one day I’ll have multiple cars to put them on ;)

Took me just under 8 months to pass, and had a lesson roughly once every 2 weeks. I read at the gov.uk website that to register a personal number plate to a vehicle, that vehicle has to have been taxed continuously for the past five years or have had a SORN continuously for the past five years, but judging by your car's original number plate and the fact that vehicles that were first registered before Sep 2013 can't have a number plate that new, your car would've been less than five years old at the time of uploading this video, which obviously means it couldn't have been taxed or had a SORN continuously for the past five years at the time. I'm puzzled about all of this. How were you able to officially register a personal number plate to a car that wasn't taxed for at least five years straight and didn't have a SORN for at least five years straight?

Great and all....apart from your new plates aren't road legal. You cannot have any footer (little custom text underneath) and they must have the company's details on who issued them.
I watched this video then ordered some with a custom footer, turns out my plates aren't road legal. Nice one. It's upto £1000 fine if your stopped and it also won't pass the MOT (if they notice)
Well then your an idiot he clearly stated that he wasn't sure if what he ordered was road legal and advised you to use halford to get fully road legal plates made. Pay attention

@@ranikrahman2327yeah slogans and stuff usually aren't legal and also fitting a 7 digit plate on the size he chose isn't legal spec because the font has to be made smaller (or the characters are squeezed closer together)

Be careful about showing number plates and the car they are on. The cloning of number plates is getting out of control in the UK now, and the hassle generated for you if your plates are cloned by some little scrote is unreal.
To be honest they're most likely to search for a random one on autotrader etc than an enthusiast's YT channel. And especially not private plates
