The last time i did a new plate change on vehicle i put 2 thick elastic bands around either end of the plate to hold the original one steady while drilling the holes just a little tip for anyone in the future who may read the comment 👍

That must be the company i ordered my 4D plates from recently. They were the only outlet i could find on Amazon that didn't require any documentation.
I have to say the quality is outstanding, just a tip to remove the old sticky pads, i pulled the end of the plate and slid a craft knife under and cut the pads off.
Then just a matter of cleaning the valance up with a wipe over with isopropyl alcohol.

Great video again, my opinion you went overkill on the rear number plate with the adhesive sticky tape, just the white pads alone are enough.

be marked with a British Standard number - this is ‘BS AU 145e’ for plates fitted after 1 September 2021

Big company called Plates for cars do this but I dunno about these ones linked in the video. Some can apparently get away with it because they are based / operate in Ireland which does not fall under the law of needing documents to put the company logo underneath. The ones with the company logo missing at the bottom are just show plates and people run them at their own risk

what's the reason that the front plate is white and the rear plate is yellow? (yes, I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I'm in the US and our plates can only be issued by the state government)
Its always been that way in the uk, well we started on black back ground and white letters, then changed to this style in the 1970s they must have found it hard to know what's the front and rear of the car😂 so changed the colours,Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I have has a few comments about the main beam being stuck on after rebuild, thanks to Stuart brown for this great information:-
Thanks for this excellent video, I wouldn't have attempted this without these detailed instructions showing every step - the indicators on my daughter's 56 plate 107 now working again! Also had the problem with main beam stuck on first time - found there is a piece a plastic (visible above your thumb and forefinger holding the cotton bud at 20:15) which isn't fixed and can jump off the little knob below it, and end up sitting in front of it instead of on top of it. This stops the stalk moving between the dip and main beam positions, and seems to force main beam on. Worked fine once taken apart (again!) and returned to the right position.
