Oh my god the amount of content you've added and the obvious amount of work you've put into making all of it top-notch quality.... Favorite Developer of All Time!! Please make more games!!
From my most recent colony: "Daisuke told a tale about tails to Pacer. She was aroused and agreed to become his lover." The new social system is a blast.
I would be 100% happy with you chatting about the game for a few hours in a video. Really nice to see all these additions and alterations coming along, so glad you've taken a look at the caravan system and gave a few uses for the water in the game. It really makes a difference to the gameplay. Big fan of your updates, by all means take your time to get it right. Thanks for putting so much work in.
It would be pretty cool if he would make so you could continue your colony in space.. Building your space platform / ship, engaging with other ships and maybe even planets... mining asteroids and growing food... Something like combining FTL and Rimworld :D. I've already seen games similar to this concept, but none of them delivered as far as I've seen. Although I guess that would be a bit too much to do, the game itself is pretty deep as it is right now
5:28 "You'll want to have trained soldiers, resurrection mech serums, healer mech serums." Or I can have a long, windy hallway and a willingness to commit war crimes.
Hey Tynan, do you have any plans of making the factions in the world more dynamic/alive? I'd love to see raiders expanding their outposts whilst two friendly settlements were raided and destroyed by raiders(or vice versa).
yes this! It would be great to really NEED allies (I usually don't bother because it means less raids), and therefore have a real reason to go their protection.
This update makes me want to polish MY cannon, if you know what I mean! ;) Because I have a collection of historical artillery pieces, and I was reminded that I neglected their care and maintenance while playing computer games, so I need to clean them all first before trying out the update.
I am happy you are taking the time to polish things more before 1.0. There are still many open issues that I am sure will take time to address. I have been onboard with B19 since you started releasing it daily and will continue if that is something that will continue on the unstable branch. I will continue to submit bug reports, but I am seeing far less small issues and am seeing the more of the polish you were originally setting out for with 1.0. Seriously though, please fix the building walls and power conduit simultaneously bug before 1.0, that is all I really ask for (if that was fixed after build 2006, my appoligizes I haven't had time to play much lately!).
If you click read more on my post you can see it, but here is a link to the actual bug report. If this didn't waste materials gathered I wouldn't care so much. It is very easy to reproduce and I have noticed it since A16.
The background popping noises where weird, I had to check my IRL mic to see if it was putting thru to my headphones for some reason. Beyond that, I am quite hyped for this. I actuially opted into the beta test for the first time, two hours before you released! Funny how the 'last compiled' date on the main menu reads tomorrow's date XD As someone who enjoys modding the game beyond it's limits, thank you ever so much for introducing 64bit. I know it couldn't have been easy, but it means SO much for the modding lifespan of the game. Take all the time you need. Every release you've made has been good enough for me to consider it a finished product; I'm all the more ready to be blown away by what YOU consider a finally finished product!
Yay, more Rimworld, this has become one of my all time favorite games. Great work and thank you. Potential suggestion (I'll look to see if you have a suggestion spot elsewhere too): Fruit trees? Also the ability for highly skilled workers to 'teach' or 'train' others to level up their skills?
Updates like this just make the game so much more fun to play. And it still has heavy modder support. Triple A developers should really take notes from how rimworld and it's community work to make the game better each update. Can't wait to try this update!
When I bought Rim World over a year ago I had no idea how much the game was going to evolve. It is the only game I actually want to stay in Early Access.
Even before it came to Steam it barely felt like early access. This is the kind of quality early access games should strive for, even if they can’t necessarily achieve it.
I've never been happier, was just about to start a new game when the update hit. Loving the fact that things that were once only available via mods are being implemented into the base game, such a great development! Rimworld
You're an absolute unit. Appreciate ya, Tynan. Would you ever consider introducing a general maintenance system? Pawns have to visit a machine or bench regularly in order to keep it at 100% functionality. If the maintenance gets too low it can start to create havoc or produce misfires or mischief. Also, this would mean those random short circuits and random breaking downs wouldn't happen unless the maintenance was low enough.
@@tynansylvester somewhat, but you don't want stuff to get broken in the middle of a fight :D would be great to have a way to prevent this Love ya Tynan
@Average Joesson hmm, I think there should still be some sudden outages arround, but stuff like 'barrel replacement' is preventable. Maybe colonists have different chances to find problems while maintaining stuff. More intelligent and handy people are more likely to recognise wear on hidden gears in mechanics or something like that. But sometimes there is just a rock that clogged something an needs to be removed :b
I would like this addition, it would make those random breakdowns so much less infuriating and random. In the same way the infestations have a little warning now, even just a different state that some equipment is in. And the better built benches and items could be less prone to wearing down or something as well. Or even just a build mode where everything takes x(?) or x10 amount of time to make but it never breaks down. Would be so nice to not have to worry about coolers breaking at bad moments. Or even the auto-doors.
After running few modded 15+ year colonies I prefer vanilla breakdowns to constant maintenance. Eventually there is so much stuff to mantain, that 1/3 of your colony have to be dedicated builders just to keep stuff running.
Loving the updates, been here since the early alphas, I still remeber you personally helping me out with getting the code for the game, one of my favourite game developers, keep it up
THANK YOU! These changes look awesome! I just want to personally thank you from the bottom of my heart for this game. I truly love this game more than any other game I've ever played. As a life long gamer, that is the ultimate compliment. Rimworld is the type of game I can always return to and have a great time no matter what. Thank you for your continued work and for making it even better.
I realy like the update! I see how you took a lot of inspiration out of mods from the older Patches. Honestly I didn´t realy expected you to implement them so succsessful good job! Before this update I had around 20 mods just for "quality of life" purposes but know I don´t need them anymore. I´ll have a lot of fun. Well done! :p
Fantastic stuff! I am relatively new to RImworld, but have already gotten 10x my money's worth out of it. It is an addictive and amazing game, and the fact that you are still adding so much content leading up to 1.0 is fantastic.
Thank you so much for such an amazing game Tynan. I bought the game after having played Prison Architect because of the similar art-style - I'm now ~400 hours in and still not bored. The modding capability just gives an insane amount of replayability. Thanks for making my new favourite game!
Thanks Tynan! Can't wait for 1.0, already sunk a few hundred into this wonderful creation and am happy to wait for the final drop. Just so you know, I'd be willing to pay for and dlc in the future :p
God, i love your game and the efford you put into it! So many QoL changes this time around! No more need for the "While you at it" mod! Thanks for making this amazing, wonderful and time consuming game!
Well good update. Just started fresh last night :( haha. Thanks man, this is truely one of the best games. Hours and hours spent in this game. Oh, and love the OST.
Nothing short of brilliant. Every update refreshes the game significantly, thankyou to Tynan & the team for remaining so awesome. Best £££ I ever spent.
Holding off on 1.0 officially. Once again you show your dedication to the quality of the game. A great example for Early Access developers out there. Thank you!!!!
hell yea it's cool to see how far this game has come since i started following it a few years before it came out on steam. back when stockpiles used to be infinite voids
Checked on rimworld yesterday, got disappointed. Do you even know how happy seeing this today made me? You’re a God Tynan, keep up the good work and we’ll keep worshipping you.
Thanks so much for all of your work, Tynan :) Will Rimworld continue to be supported and updated after 1.0 is out? Obviously the significance of the updates wouldn't have to be anything near as big as the progressive alpha and beta updates have been, but it will be great to know that the game will continue to be supported after official release
Love the new Flavortext and the new Caravan-Updates. When Caravans launched they were a pain and pawns always went Berserk while loading them. Now its actually super fun to do them.
Been waiting a couple weeks to start another game with the anticipation of the new updated content, now that it has come its time to lock myself away from the world to dive into this update! Don't feel pressured to get version 1.0 out, I don't know about others but I'm very satisfied with the games current state. Keep making an awesome game even better!
Tynan this truly is a masterpiece. Keep up the great work - You've given me hundreds of hours of entertainment and i cannot thank you enough for the work you put into this game. ps please turn food poisoning down
One of my absolute favorite playthroughs I have ever done was a single character game, it wasn't on purpose and she was an empath so it was VERY interesting.
I can now spend another few hundred hours... Thank you, Father...
I'm still love this game and the community 😍
I hope online mode available soon that is very amazing 😍
Zap to the extreme
Like you weren't gonna spend them anyway
Damn, you right
Oh my god the amount of content you've added and the obvious amount of work you've put into making all of it top-notch quality.... Favorite Developer of All Time!! Please make more games!!
Well hes made 30 million bucks out of this game.
Well if that's true I'm really happy for him, well deserved
And every single buck well deserved.
From my most recent colony: "Daisuke told a tale about tails to Pacer. She was aroused and agreed to become his lover."
The new social system is a blast.
Pacer is definitely a furry
Even on the Rimworld, there are fucking furries
S-s-s-senpai?
Human skin bridges when???
They're getting added in the multiplayer update.
Dope. I've also been waiting for the skinsuit DLC.
I'd fuck me.
woosh
Also, Human Meat Turrets when???
Genghis Khan would be proud!
Absolutely love this game, keep up the great work
Tynan, please let us copy and paste all bills on the workbench at once. That would help when expanding clothing or cooking facilities.
If I remember correctly you can simply click on the existing workbench and copy it, this should copy all the set up recipes too
I may not remember correctly either but I'm pretty sure copy-all currently only works for storages, and not work-stations.
No, it doesn't do that. Just copies the building. However, you can now move most workbenches in this update.
ive been wanting to copy bills since forever
I would be 100% happy with you chatting about the game for a few hours in a video.
Really nice to see all these additions and alterations coming along, so glad you've taken a look at the caravan system and gave a few uses for the water in the game.
It really makes a difference to the gameplay.
Big fan of your updates, by all means take your time to get it right. Thanks for putting so much work in.
Naked Brutality + Combat Extended
Oh boy here we go
Now the wait for CE to be updated starts :(
And on an ice sheet or extreme desert. Why not?
Great stuff! I'd really like to see a way to re-land with all of your escaped colony on a new seed?
Banana Duck I’m pretty sure that was a mod in beta 18. Save my ship I think was the name. It basically dropped your ship and colonists on a new world.
Yes that was its name
Get back to arma. REEEEEE
That would be so cool
It would be pretty cool if he would make so you could continue your colony in space.. Building your space platform / ship, engaging with other ships and maybe even planets... mining asteroids and growing food... Something like combining FTL and Rimworld :D. I've already seen games similar to this concept, but none of them delivered as far as I've seen.
Although I guess that would be a bit too much to do, the game itself is pretty deep as it is right now
Love it. Slowly my favorite mods are slowly becoming vanilla mechanics.
Love your work Tynan, been here since Alpha 6 or 7 and it's been hell of a ride. You're a great dev and deserve all the success. Cheers.
5:28 "You'll want to have trained soldiers, resurrection mech serums, healer mech serums." Or I can have a long, windy hallway and a willingness to commit war crimes.

yes this! It would be great to really NEED allies (I usually don't bother because it means less raids), and therefore have a real reason to go their protection.
yes, this can be expanded to an empire management game!
_Love_ that 15 day countdown for the ship! 👍👏
Overall you have put some great content in. Onward to 1.0, and even more great things, right?
When I activated my ships reactor I got nothing for the full 15 days and launched anti-climaticly
Low difficulty? or perhaps a bug/conflicting mod
That 15-day countdown (for AI ships) tends to at least make speedruns rather boring. Let’s see if that has changed in Beta19.
the whole huge attack befor u take off thing sounds alot like that game dig or die
Odee Dillon no
This update makes me want to polish MY cannon, if you know what I mean! ;)
Because I have a collection of historical artillery pieces, and I was reminded that I neglected their care and maintenance while playing computer games, so I need to clean them all first before trying out the update.
Haha! I thought you meant your penis! How silly
Underrated comment of the week
We require video proof of these artillery pieces.

Thanks? You didnt really elaborate on the bug thats why i asked. Ill check the bug report
Oh weird, I thought I posted the link ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=42237

When I bought Rim World over a year ago I had no idea how much the game was going to evolve. It is the only game I actually want to stay in Early Access.
It barely feels Early Access honestly
It already feels complete, especially with the addition of workshop mods

@David JR it's definitely more than 0.00000001%
I know what you mean! I'm always looking forward to What Comes Next. It will be sad to see it get locked down and Feature Complete.
Gl seeing as 1.0 is right around the corner (probably).
Thank you for your continued, awesome work, Ty! Every update is so well thought out! =)
Great work as always. Looking forward to booting it up and exploring the new and updated features :)
I've never been happier, was just about to start a new game when the update hit. Loving the fact that things that were once only available via mods are being implemented into the base game, such a great development! Rimworld
Thank you SOO much for the different turretz
Thank you . I look forward to playing A19 . Thank you for all of your and your teams hard work.
I LOVE YOU TYNAN
You're the best, honestly. Just amazing.
Thanks,
Bro, keep up the good work. Loving it so far!!!!

WOOOOOOOO YEAAAAA!!!
I was waiting so long for it!!!
Love this game and your work Tytan!!!
Nothing but love for ya Tynan thanks for designing the second most played game in my arsenal thus far.
Amazing work with the content of the game Tynan! Keep up the great work and thank you for creating this beauty of a game!
Thank you for your excellent work Tynan! Rimworld is becoming one of my favourite games of all time. I'm excited to play this exciting new update.
Thanks Tynan! One of my favorite games of all time.
Loving the updates, been here since the early alphas, I still remeber you personally helping me out with getting the code for the game, one of my favourite game developers, keep it up
Damn nice work Tynan. One of my favorite and most played games ever!
I love how you don't rush things, Tynan. I love your game so much. Thanks for all of the hard work!

Tynan, you never fail to impress. Now to spend the next month updating my mods....
Tynan thanks for the amazing game and all the hard work over the years. One of the few games i can just drown time in.

I really love this update, especially the countdown and turret degradation. Good Work....
Yes, having several useful mods now being incorporated in the base game is really nice.
This man always brings the good good
Nothing short of brilliant. Every update refreshes the game significantly, thankyou to Tynan & the team for remaining so awesome. Best £££ I ever spent.

Wow wow wow. Thank you so much for this highly underrated and glorious game.

You’re a God Tynan, keep up the good work and we’ll keep worshipping you.
Keep up the great work my man! Love this game!
YES!!! no more instant bugs in base killing everything. Such awesome improvements!!!
Now all I need is more Tribal shiet and I'll be happy. Btw Rimworld is my favourite game, keep up all the good work.
Your the man tynan great work ethic
Hey Rimworld and Starsector are my favourite early access games. Every version is playable and dev process is explained in detail.
This is great, I hope you do more stuff with water in the future.

I love when I'm thinking about getting back into Rimworld and I see one of these show up in my email
Awesome patch. Running a colony along with outposts and doing quests is rly fun now!
This is amazing! the best game keeps on getting better.
Thank You :)
So SICK!
Love it!
Love this Game and love your work
AWESOME!
this game keeps getting better and better
wow its nice thx for the update!
It's been so long since the last update, but I know that each update is ALWAYS worth it.
Woooo! I love you Tynan
