I am a 73 year old female. I started carnivore about 2 years ago. I have reversed heart disease, arterial sclerosis, type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea. All gone. I lost 60 pounds and now go to the gym and lift weights. All blood work is optimal. People tell me I look 20 years younger.

great to hear. Can I ask you which type of heart disease, your symptoms and what happened after starting your carnivore journey to make the heart disease better?? Did it heal relatively quickly?? A family member has slowed way down as a result of heart disease, and feels as though life is passing her by. She has many issues as a result of heart disease and she doesn't know what to do. Also a type 2 diabetic. Please write back if you get a chance..... thanks

I was seriously suffering with Gout. To the point of being bed ridden and missing so much work. I’m 42 years old . Had my blood panel a couple months ago to see why I was so tired all the time.
My doctor told me I was stage 3 kidney disease and needed a biopsy. Told me I needed to start statins immediately. Also told me I had a thyroid problem.
I found your channel by a miracle chance that night of the bad news.
I canceled my follow up appointment and immediately started carnivore diet!!
Fast forward to now… went from 226lbs to 172lbs in a couple months….. just had my blood panel again at my doctor… lol everything I mean everything completely reversed!!!!! Kidneys at 88 was 38 ! My thyroid normal! Absolutely no more gout! As a map of fact I’m walking 4-8 miles per day and going to gym 5 days per week. My joints feel like I have some type of super power in them!!!
But here is the kicker…. My cholesterol was 288 and I’m setting in front of my doctor and excitedly telling him about this amazing journey…. And he said….. well you need to be on statins and eating meat will cause me to have a heart attack or stroke!! He advised against it. I told him my gout was gone…. He said you need to take allopuronal for rest of your life.
I was so mad at this point I could hardly see. I am finding a new doctor asap.
Threw my meds out. I feel the best I have ever felt in my life!
    Screw that idiot.
I have a two year goal to be competing in a bodybuilding competition at 44 years old… and I will succeed

I'm 65, 5' 3". Before starting Carnivore I was menopausal with belly fat and a muffin top. The waist on my pants were starting to hurt. I was determined not to buy new clothes yet turning to vegetarian/vegan was only causing me to gain more weight. Thanks to running across Steak & Butter Gal, Dr. Berry, and Dr Chaffee, I lost 15 lbs which may not seem like much but has made a world of difference in my energy and no more menopausal symptoms, especially hot flashes. I dropped down to a size 2 in my jeans. My joints feel so much better. Thanks to these 3 people but also all of you the comment and keep the inspiration motivation going! ❤👏👏👏👏👏

I was a decent student but nowhere near what I think I was capable of IMO. I just couldn't concentrate on my work. These days kids are labeled ADD and put on meds but I'm sure some of that could be corrected through diet.

Obviously raw vegan was not making you feel good or healthy. I did a 15 day juice fast and I never felt better, I felt amazing and lost about 8 kilos in that short amount of time - I think the benefit was simply from getting into ketosis as that's obviously not a sustainable diet. That was 10 years ago. I got down to 63 kilos, but today I'm 81 kg. I do understand why though. I'm starting back on carnivore today, can't wait to get over the rocks and out into the calm blue sea.

Radiologist here. I’ve been commenting on fatty pancreas for 20 years now and guess what…nobody ever asked. Nobody followed up. It gets read or skimmed over in the report and they move on to the cancer or liver kidneys or whatever else they’re asking about.
    20 years. Not once.
Which is why many of my colleagues stop commenting on it.
I keep doing it..because ocd reasons probably.
Regrading normal fatty infiltration of muscle. You’re showing more fatty infiltration in the inter muscular fascia. There may be fat in the muscle proper but pics too small to see.
Again..severe fatty atrophy/sarcopenia is generally commented on.

    My two cents.

Same, bad knees prevent sprinting. However I can sprint on a bike. In my youth I was a competitive swimmer and we did tons of interval training. Typically 30x100 sprints on 2 min. per allocated in addition to middle and occasionally long distance. I would go back to swim sprinting if I had access to a pool. However that is mostly upper body so I am not sure if that matters.

As a young ripped 18 year old being physically man handled and literally “beat up” by a senior citizen is one of the most profound lessons in life you could imagine. The martial arts, done correctly is a constant anaerobic sprinting sport and also great hand and eye coordination, muscle control and balance training. They have incredible benefits for a person aging. I saw it every day. Old karate masters don’t fall, they roll !! As your wonderful guest stated, these lessons were learned out of survival. For around 3 years I’ve had problems exercising - and I just mean walking or running a bit - hip joints terrible. I’ve been low carb for many years but I need much better results for my health.
Listening to this is really helping me stay on track. Not hungry so not eating. Don’t feel like I’m fasting, just not hungry. I’ve previously concentrated on the scales, not going to do that anymore. Visceral fat… I’ve got loads, it’s got to go!!!

I live in the Adirondack state park & my dog & I were out for our daily walk…about 2 miles in the forest. About 1 mile into the walk my dog was holding still and pointing, he’s a golden retriever that wouldn’t normally notice a deer if it jumped over his head. I was busy looking down to the ground to avoid water, fallen logs/limbs, slippery rocks in this particular area. So, Doolie (my dog) was pointing & holding VERY still. As I looked up I from the ground I saw a huge bear STANDING in the trail. I could see her eyes…that’s how close I was to her. I was armed with a camera…not too helpful! So, I kept eye contact and tried to ‘look bigger’. Of course she didn’t budge. As I was backing up SLOWLY as I didn’t want to startler her, like she was AFRAID of me~ I realized I was going to trip over the rocks, branches etc I was carefully traversing before I looked up. So, I slowly turned around to calmly walk away from her, as she wasn’t budging. As soon as I turned around the adrenaline kicked in and I ran as fast as I possibly could & never looked back. Either she had me or she was gonna let me leave!
When I saw my house I dared to look back and she wasn’t chasing me.Being safe the sympathetic & para sympathetic system was doing it’s job as when I saw I was safe I totally peed my pants!! Now THAT’S fight or flight!!!

She hollered at me as we ran “are you sure that’s a bear?” I yelled back, “yes of course! I’m from the Yukon !” We finally got back to safety by my car, where my brother and dad were fishing. Told them the story, as we huffed and puffed. Dad said, “Listen!” We thought the bear might be following us, but when we listened closely, in the distance we could hear it- “Moooooo!” Turns out we ran at top speed from a black angus range cow. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣 Sister in law never let me live it down.

THIS IS/WAS the BEST INTERVIEW that I have seen with Dr. Berry. This GUEST hit home for me on many levels concerning visceral fat & chronic inflammation, extended fasting (3 days is my go-to), and sprinting (in Army Basic Training, to improve our long running speed, we would do 60/120's - 60 second sprint, 120 seconds walk; 60 second sprint, 120 walk....repeat...etc....). Start out 'sprinting' with slower acceleration & then build speed after a couple weeks...you DON'T want to strain a hammy...😮
I finished Basic looking BUFF with a 6-pack abs.
I would also add to examples of what to start out with in place of sprinting....running on a mini trampoline.

Since doing some research and listening to both of you, I've cut processed food (80% carnivore) and do short sprints on my bike (still find it challenging to actually sprint but slowly improving) - I've halved my triglycerides and my fasting insulin has dropped to 5 - my a1c however remains high . He was so sad that families were deceived into giving up butter which he said was so good for children. And he was a fan of meat fats and cheese. We always had fatty meat. Bacon and eggs for breakfast every day, which I continued and gave my son too.

By far the best podcast I’ve seen on the benefits of low carb high fat diets. Finally a video I can share with my friends that think it’s not good for people to live like this long term. I have been doing this low carb high fat diet for 20 months now and I feel great. I’m down 40 pounds to 173 and off all the meds.

I just watched this video and went outside and ran three 20 second sprints. WOW, that IS a total body workout. I'm 51, been carnivore for 6 weeks. I could not have done that 6 weeks ago. I haven't ran like that since football 40 yard sprints in HS. Caveat: I was already in good shape for my age. I mtn bike, hike and on no meds. I've already lost 7 lbs with maybe 10 more to go to my target.

I had a lot of liposuction in my 20's before my wedding. I had it done in my mid-section, back, upper arms, upper thighs. When I was married, I was 130 pounds and a size 8. Now 25 years later, I have put on weight. I am around 210 pounds. I do have a lot of fat around my mid-section but a disproportionate amount of weight went into my breasts and buttocks - the 2 areas that were not liposuctioned. It went to where my still existing fat cells were most concentrated, but then went back into my abdomen, upper arms, and upper thighs as I gained more and more. All of this is to say, that the fat distribution is affected by liposuction. I am hoping as I lose the weight that I will lose it from everywhere. My breasts and buttocks are too big and disproportionate to the rest of my body. Of course, I want to lose the dangerous fat as well around my organs.

For those who are just starting out, here’s some terminology: “seed oils” are what’s called “vegetable oil” in grocery stores. It might be corn, canola, Crisco shortening/margarine (which is partially hydrogenated oil and is much worse than any fat out there) etc. these oils were pushed as a healthy alternative for decades. Well, newsflash, they’re inflammatory. Also, the doc talks about healthy meat, which is grass fed/pastured. People eating a normal diet and animals eating their normal diet is what prevents and heals disease.

Awesome interview!! I learned a ton here today!! I'm going on 66 in 4 months. I've been sprinting the last 3 years off and on, the last 5 months very consistently sprinting for 20 seconds covering 135 yards, 6-8 times with 120 seconds rest in between and 2 days rest in between sessions. I've never felt better, stronger, younger, faster, leaner, sexier, healthier, happier. This interview was such a great Amen to what I've been doing and backs up what I've been encouraging others to do. Plus, I learned so many things about sprinting and the other topics discussed today. I’m not sure it’s one size fits all but for sure, taking ownership of body and adjusting till results are in the statistics is the way to go. So many practitioners contradict each other, one has to try not like a cult but mindfully… to find the right balance. I started a journal when I began intermittent fasting and low carb… but the tussle of medical opinion about fibre… I am still studying how my body responds with and without.

40 year old female here. Went full carnivore in march 2023, so I’m about 9 months.
Went carnivore because of nodules found on my thyroid. Went on medication for 2 week until I started carnivore. After 2 months the nodules were gone and my health is the greatest since my early twenties.
Lost about 8 pounds - 4 pounds the first 2 weeks. Mostly from all the carbs I was eating. My skin is perfect, and wrinkles is fading away. No bad breath or gunk on teeth/tung anymore.
My energy is awesome and I don’t need to nap all the time. My brain fog is cleared and my enjoyment and excitement for life has improved so much I don’t know how to describe it. I started my own business on top of my day job and I’m thriving.
I sometimes do ketovore, but 95% carnivore. I’m never going back - meat is LIFE 🥩

I started thinking these issues were separate from my extra weight, but I don't think so and I have the MRI'S to verify fatty infiltration of my muscles. I am still overweight and have that telltale belly. I don't know much about sprinting but you can bet I'm going to start, it will be tailored to my ability at this time. I will start googling now.
