I am in Kent, England. I was brought up to eat all your vegetables. Very high sugar diet into teenage years and beyond. Fast forward to 2019 and a Cancer diagnosis so I went on a plant based diet according to Chris beats Cancer, a book I was given and stuck to for many months. My stomach and throat issues continued and in fact got even worse until recently when my daughter who lives in New Zealand and introduced me to both of you and the Carnivore diet was started. I cannot believe how much better I feel. The IBS which had been ruining my life had cleared up and my throat problems, acid reflux included had completely cleared up. My weight which was classed as Obese started to shift. I am 4 months in and the weight is stalling but my health is the best it has ever been.

After a heart cath was clear, the light bulb came on and I made my mind up to save my self! I started a no carb / carnivore diet and 10 months in have lost 80 pounds down to High School weight and have eliminated all diabetic meds and 4 types of BP meds plus eliminated a constant back pain. Thank you for posting. I have always wondered why what I learned in college seems to be disappeared in nutrition and medicine. Anthropology alone teaches us that our evolution depended on animal fats and protein, and the explosion with cooking said meats. Archioanthropologists have shown that women dies in childbirth and at younger ages when the hunter gatherer female skeletans wre compared to settled agriculture female skeletans. Their measurement showed smaller pelvic structure in reproductive age females, , and more osteoporosis in older female skeletons.
Being sold to eat bran and brown rice, when every grain eating grains removed the bran as they evolved. It hurts human intestins.
I do believe that plants are protective of their existence. They only want what ever specific animal that can help them reproduce to eat their fruit. Humans may cultivate, but since we made latrines and plymbing, we are not in anyway helpful to them.

Dr. Berry, thank you so much for your comment on being kind to vegetarians/vegans who are sincerely curious and asking questions. I made the terrible mistake of trying to eat strict vegetarian for over 30 years. Never smoked anything, drank, nor did drugs. Was outdoors and athletic, very fit, slender and strong. I was very careful with "balancing" my diet and taking the notoriously indispensible supplements, and also consulted with doctors and dietitians at a major research university medical school to make sure I kept on track. I even interviewed vegans and wrote episodes on vegetarianism for a broadcast health series. I did everything "right" as carefully and correctly as possible. I was never obnoxious about it, I was trying to take the best care of my health as I knew how, to try to avoid illness and be as strong and well as I could be. I was a runner, swimmer, backpacker. I SINCERELY believed my decision was correct. Eating vegetarian was probably the biggest mistake of my physical life. Over the decades, it has ruined my health. NAFLD, diabetes, heart damage, I only wish I'd known about carnivore or at least ketovore 30-40 years ago. I'm trying so hard now to undo all the decades of damage and I appreciate you so much and also your colleagues who are sounding the warnings I wish I could have heard.

Thank you so much for this great talk. I’m a pediatrician from Germany and I’m kinda pessimistic looking at our future generation. The majority of my patient’s parents are actually completely clueless about anything about nutrition or basic movement (not even talking about exercising). And sadly our government indoctrinated people to be fearful and dependent on mainstream recommendations for nutrition, health care and so on. They still teach kids to eat predominantly grains, potatoes and fiber and to avoid meat and eat soy-garbage instead.Anyway, I’m trying my best to teach them better in my daily practice. Keep up the good work, guys!

I wonder if Germany's large elderly population is part of the problem. I live in Germany too and there's a pharmacy on nearly every corner. Regarding exercise, it doesn't help that so many people choose motorized transportation. I see many kids on motorized scooters now, and e-bikes are popular with all ages.

It’s a miracle when we have the most simple diet and it Freaking Works 🎉. I totally reversed my diabetes 2 in one ☝️ month. Dr took me off insulin immediately. Now, after almost five years l am totally free of all meds🎉. And I’m very old. Dr told me that I have added another 20 years to my life…. ❤. That’ll make me 103 when I kick the bucket 😂! Thinking back on the last 20 years, I know how fast that can go by. Haven’t a clue how to handle this information 😊. … but I’m sure curious 👀.

@ozzieabroad Not the full time. During Thanksgiving and Christmas, I went back to the SAD. I just started back in February. I have been back on it for about a month now, 03/23. My joint pain had returned, and I was having an extremely hard time walking. In a month, I am able to walk and stand with minimal pain. The only time I have gut issues is when I decide to eat a salad or veggies with my protein of choice. I can't say if this is caused by food allergies or not, but I have allergies to many things. I will not be eating anything but meat through the holidays in 2023. I feel so much better now. I can not moderate my sugar addiction so I will have to be a strict carnivore from now on!

Add electrolytes, 2 liter water, 1 tsp NaCl, 1 tsp Bicarbonate, 2 tsp of KCl. Drink everyday with Omad carnivore. Potassium help you from feeling hungry. I am drinking it everyday, not the whole 2 liters. When I go on water fast I drink t all, it’s no big difference, it’s easy to switch on and off from fasting to OMAD with the electrolytes.

Dr Berry, thank you so much for adding that bit in the beginning about not blocking vegans👍 I was a hardcore vegan for 10 years & became chronically ill, & basically almost passed into the next world. By age 32 I had developed Fibromyalgia, Uterine cancer, early onset arthritis, carpal tunnel, & chronic debilitating back pain & fatigue, just to name a few.
It took a long time of listening to these types of talks & informational sessions that you & others (( like Dr chaffee's popular UA-cam video & Dr. Robert Lustlig w/his incredible book Abt.Sugar(Metabolical)) for me to come on to this side of the fence🧱 and become a full-on carnivore.
I am currently on day 3 & I was unbelievably astounded at how in the first 48 hours I felt the most amazing I had felt since more than 10 years ago.
People like the old me don't need to be ostracized & kicked out. They need to be welcomed in & informed - people can change! So thank you🎉

Ketovore saved my health. 50 years of a 'healthy' low fat, low salt, high fruit and veg diet (including 2 years vegan which brought it all to a head) and I was having increasingly severe health issues. It took my dentist telling me I was going to lose all my teeth because of severe gum disease that sent me down this food rabbit hole, starting with Weston A Price. 3 years on and my gum disease is gone (dentist shocked!), teeth look great, IBS gone, arthritis gone, skin looks amazing, I'm lean and fit and, the best bit, I went through the menopause so easily (whilst watching all my friends suffer from hot flashes, poor sleep, emotional issues and weight gain).

I thought I had to remove a tooth (no visible damages and pain at the gum level), but after speaking to a very superficial dentist (fortunately, my mum was an ex nurse and she used to cure us naturally, so I'm a little diffident of easy prescripted solutions) I start researching for alternatives. Started taking bone broth after reading his book. The day after, no more pain as before. Months after, I went to another dentist, and she take a radiography. Just a little bit of tartar under the surface, no cavity. I just save a tooth! I'm still shocked. I was just eating so badly...

Thanks Dr. Berry and Dr. Chaffee. I am a 59 year old man and in 2 days I will be a 5 year survivor of throat cancer. I also had mild non diabetic Neuropathy that was slowly progressing for 10 years prior to cancer and at that time it was noticeable but not debilitating. After the first of 3 planned rounds of Cisplatin chemo my hearing started to go and it became difficult to walk. The Dr. was so concerned at my reaction he cancelled the remaining Cisplatin treatments. I finished treatment with 2 rounds of a less potent chemo and 35 rounds of radiation to my neck and was told my chances of survival went down because of the change in plans. Thankful to no longer be strapped to the radiation table or a chemo session watching yellow poison drip into my veins, I now began my hopeful road to recovery. I soon became very concerned for the Peripheral Neuropathy that was now 5 times worse than before and every year going forward has progressed. Just to illustrate, in the beginning if I reached in my pocket I could not tell if I was touching a penny or a quarter. 5 years later now, I reach in it for my iPhone 10 and I have to look down to see if I was lucky enough to grab it on the first try. After treatment I began a desperate search for information on diets etc. because I knew my former eating habits helped get me in to this problem and what I put in the "head hole" going forward could potentially get me out of it. I wound up confused with so many different opinions and You Tube Gooroos with all the answers and I even asked my Oncologist if he had seen or heard the testimonies of so many people who beat cancer with lifestyle changes and certain diets that actually can cause cancer cells to die. He seemed to struggle for an answer and was very dismissive of most all unconventional treatments but to his credit he did say "maybe consider Acupuncture". I knew then I was on my own and had to take charge of my health. Unfortunately many Dr.'s it seems are great at memorizing the words that someone else wrote and are bound to legal restrictions that tie their hands and hold them accountable to the sacred doctrines of big pharma. Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for his help and decision to stop the cisplatin chemo. That alone is likely why I'm not in a wheel chair today or worse. As my journey continued I decided to try Vegan and with that I struggled to find enough energy to get through each day . I dreamed about eating meat and my family members laughed when I showed up at the beach house for vacation walking in with my big container holding a blender, juicer, several food and supplement items, and whatever else I thought I needed to survive for one week. After about 2 months of losing even more weight than my already frail body could bare and people starting to look at me with sadness in their eyes asking if I'm OK, I knew it was back to the drawing board. Next, I stumbled upon Healthy Keto and the Carnivore diet and that's what led me here today,. Now contemplating the possibilities of what this could offer me. I 'm glad to see an open forum discussion with two Medical Doctors Thinking outside the Box and sharing real solutions that heal people . Sorry for the long story if your still with me thanks. So my question is, is there hope for someone like me with CIPN to regenerate damaged nerves by going on the Carnivore diet? Thanks.

Thank you so much for addressing the slower weight loss , so many people on Carnivore are thinking it should be fast. I have only lost 26lbs in 8 months which is little over half my goal. I lost almost 5 inches of the 7 inches my menopausal gain created in my waist. Body recomposition is happening and it’s so fun to see the rectangle shape return to my hourglass shape! Slow and steady is fine by me!

I’ve been on and off carnivore for 2 years desperately trying to fix my Hashimotos which I caused through over exercising and under nourishing my body. When I initially went carnivore I got upset because I gained 8kg and hated the look of my body after being in body builder condition, but I was wracked with digestive issues and I started to get skin issues and my hair thinned. But after just 3 days of being carnivore they started to resolve.I’ve finally gone full carnivore for the last month and I’m feeling stronger, more energetic and I sleep so much better. I wasn’t being patient with allowing my body to heal and adapt to the new diet and was flick flacking between diets trying to heal from the hashimotos but now realise that I just need to give it time and not fear the fat. I like it when Dr Chaffee says your body it nutrient driven not calorie driven. I realise now finally that Calories don’t matter, it’s nutrients which you can get entirely from animal products that matter and I now no longer feel hungry all the time and don’t think about food all the time!!

I discovered carnivore watching the Peterson family (Jordan and Mikala) benefit from it. I watched Dr. Berrys interview with Mikala and decided to try carnivore following your advise along with a deep dive with other docs and a educated blueprint for carnivore. I weened off carbs and sugar for about 30 days and have been hard core carnivore for about 4 months. Inside that 4 months I’ve had two noteworthy migraines. Something I’ve not experienced any time in my life! I’ve NEVER gone more than a day or so without a migraine. Beyond the general quality of life benefits of carnivore, this diet has essentially cured what several neurologists over a lifetime have failed to do. @@nancieamethyst2541 Hi Nancy. How long have you been doing keto for? I did a pretty long weening process to get off carbs and sugar. 30-45 days to avoid the side effects of cutting both. Having a high sensitivity for triggering migraines, I knew I would have to start slow. It took until I had almost eliminated all carbs and sugar before I had any sustained relief. I’m on a moderate carnivore diet. Mostly ruminant meats (cow pig lamb etc) but also tons of eggs. Usually eggs, ham and bacon in the morning. Lunches are usually just quick easy meals to get me through to dinner. Dinner is where I get the majority of my fuel. Usually a fatty steak cut, salmon filet, shrimp and a few eggs. I am doing dairy but being caution of the types. Some processed cheeses have quite a bit of carbs or sugar in it. Goat cheese goes great with steaks. Just have to watch the carbs and sugar. Ultimately I’ve cut carbs and sugar to less than 2-3 grams per day if any at all. Be careful of seasonings. I stuck to salt and pepper for a good 4 months before I started introducing anything else like onion powder garlic powder etc. ultimately I cut them back out. I find I can still enjoy relief with smoked meats as well. Meal prepping is your friend too to help keep you from cheating. A bison, sausage, ham, bacon mixture fried up makes for great hearty omelets. I followed Dr Berrys “how to get started” video as religion and still do. Happy to answer any additional questions just please know I am far from an expert and am still learning but for what it’s worth, when I tried keto, it was enough to give me any relief. Good luck. Prayers up.

Yes I've stuck to it. Feel too good to justify going back to crappy food and feeling crappy

Starting carnivore/Lion when my beef is done at butchers. Looking forward to a cold turkey PLUNGE into the lifestyle! As a Christian I don't enjoy hearing or being around foul language but I gotta tell you, when Dr Berry lets the words slip its like I'm being around the old heads in the deer camp again and it makes me smile. Great video!!!

Great video. After suffering with IBS for 4 months and years of a bad stomach, I’m starting to convert to carno. I love a mix diet and I’m going to miss fruit as it’s so easy to take to work but I’ve started making bacon omelette for breakfast, having ground beef for lunch in various forms and steak for dinner. Can’t wait to see if it makes a change 🙏🏻

What were you suffering with IBS for four months was it constipation or diarrhea? And was it every day?

Dr. Berry, as an almost 73yo very healthy woman, I truly feel like an "avenger" :) Thanks to both of you doctors for this great video!

Dr. Berry and Dr. Chaffee, both of you are the reason I'm stronger, leaner, sharper, happier, fitter at 58 than at any previous time in my life! Thank you both, you motivate me and inspire me ( and keep me on track ) on a daily basis!! I feel so fortunate, thanks to both of you, that I was open to this way of eating, and this lifestyle, I hope to help spread the word and inspire others! So far I think I've changed a few other former vegans who can't seem to thank me enough and are now devout followers of you both! Cheers, Dean

Someone I know has recently gone vegan and when I tried sharing information with her about carnivore and why veganism isn't healthy, her response was that she doesn't agree with the information I shared. I ended up telling her that saying you don't agree with something, doesn't make it wrong.

I found a problem with Carnivore diet...
You wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep thinking of you family and friends that are so thick minded..
Not willing to even listen to common sense..
They are obese and unhealthy, but they think it’s the normal thing or being old makes you unhealthy..
It just makes you so mad..Thank you for these doctors talking sense...

My friend has been getting treated for wegener's disease taking 15 tablets a day and going to hospital for an injection once per week. After many conversations with him about carnivore. He finally gave it a try. Within a short time he was off all medication. Little to no pain, especially in the mornings getting out of bed. Lost weight and skin improved. He is loving life now..

During pregnancy 10 years ago they put me on synthroid because they said thyroid little low and have to take for baby. 10 years later after every doctor fighting me not to come off. I’m coming off slowly alone and feel fine. But I just started ketocarnivore diet only a week ago. I’m hoping my thyroid numbers will be good! Now if I can only find a down to earth doctor or endocrinologist that will take me to check my numbers! So hard to find common sense doctors!!!!

Watching from Perth, Australia!! Made me laugh when Anthony said everything from Perth is a 24 hour drive!😜 Truth!! I never thought about the “over” cooking or fermentation of vegetables! Nor had I considered the effect of fat on bowel action and makes the chronic constipation so many older Australians suffer from, make horrible sense.
