You probably were running out of fat to burn around 180 and you needed to eat more fat and meat. When you hit that target weight the eating has to go way up. Lots of fat to boost the ketones. Big meals 1-2 times a day. No snacks. 200 seems too heavy - be worth a try again with more fat this time. Low fat will make you feel like butt.
Two+ years into a carnivore WOE thanks to the both of you (and many others). I'm BBBE with a bit of fish here and there. I'm off cheese except for a few rare times when I'll have a nibble. I don't track anything anymore or worry about it. I'm in touch with my body enough that I can tell when I'm getting slightly off-track and generally that's just what one has to eat when traveling (like seed oils in restaurant food when it's just too much trouble to avoid). At age 66 I'm on no meditation, my usual BP is 115/60, I exercise regularly, get plenty of sun, sleep well, my body has stabilized at a healthy weight and size...there's just nothing to complain about. Thanks to you both.
I am on carnivore... it works great for me. I am at goal weight after losing 20 pounds a year ago. I eat a few pecans as a dessert.. Can someone explain if and why this is a problem.. I chose carnivore for the anti inflammation and belly fat burning aspects.. it works.. Are these few pecans a problem if I don't feel anything bad from them??

I’m glad Laura reminded me of removing the excuses when traveling. I am an international flight attendant and I travel a lot. I need to be proactive in preparing my meals ahead of time.
I think a thin person probably takes that question better. Of course I still am overweight, eating carnivore, but I am in a much better mental space than I once was.
This is a great interview. Two of my favorite people who have contributed enormously to my decision to become carnivore. I'm not always good at it, and I have recently had to climb back up on the wagon. The wonderful thing about the carnivore wagon is that it never leaves you behind. It's always there when you decide you're need to get back on. Thank you both for your time and encouragement.
I really appreciate the balanced attitude and tenor of the interview. I learned about carnivore on UA-cam in March and thought how this will help my husband and youngest daughter. Even though they haven’t been as strict as i would like, cutting out the snacks ( or reducing them to Sunday) increasing the meat, and not pushing vegies has brought peace to the family dinner table. No more talk about " if you would only eat more veggies and exercise more you would lose weight". I am now confident about what i teach my kids. Each carries his own load in making decisions, but my conscience is now clean knowing what i know now about how to eat right. Been carnivore since mid March....no more panic attacks, or gut issues!
What a beautiful, articulate young lady with an inspiring story. I was a little overweight, felt metabolically unhealthy, and have a strong family history of heart disease, which motivated me to start a ketovore diet in May 2024 at age 52. Now after 5 months I have lost 13 pounds, have more energy, and can see clear signs of improved health. Definitely committed to this lifestyle for the long haul.
Couldn't watch live, but so glad I was able to catch it on UA-cam. Laura was the FIRST influencer (besides Dr. Berry and Neisha) that I followed when I started carnivore 8 months ago. She's cute as a button and speaks my language: common sense, sustainability, and budget friendly. I've gotten so many tips and tricks, plus I adopted the "2 meats" meal plan in Week 2 of my carnivore journey and still do it to this day. Thanks for a great interview!
@@kathyclaire1852 I honestly didn't know what else to call it. I always eat "2 meats" ... chicken and pork belly, steak and bacon, thighs and pork tenderloin, etc.

I am 31, and have been having cycle issues going on two years now. I've tried many diets and have been contemplating going Carnivore. Well, I was just officially diagnosed with PCOS on Monday at the fertility clinic, and this video was everything I needed. Thank you SO MUCH 💓
A friend of mine just delivered her 3rd child several weeks ago, she’s had several miscarriages and was diagnosed with PCOS, went on carnivore, and got pregnant at 41 and like I said, delivered her baby girl several weeks ago!
I'm currently in my bulldozer at what I do for a living. I listen to these as podcasts all day. This is an excellent interview or talk with Laura. My daughter is 13 and turns 14 in December( also named Laura) and I'm trying to stear her onto this path as well. This path has turned my life (health) around. I wish everyone could feel as good as myself.
As with most people when I started transforming my health I started keto(I referred to it as Adkins) as carbs came from non starchy vegetables. I personally thought eating only meat and going OMAD was a line of B.S. Switching to carnivore was a natural transition because if I tried eating more "healthy" vegetables I found it non-satiating. I literally traded the place that veggies took on my plate with meat. This natural progression started June of 2023. I find it ridiculously easy to maintain. I love the way Dr.Berry uses Proper Human Diet spectrum, as a way of finding your own personal carb threshold, this is exactly the way it happened for me, time and my tastes dictated my carnivore transition. I didn't have a regimented time table I was meeting. I took the science out of the process and just ate (and still eat) what makes my body feel best. When I first saw Dr. Berry, Chaffee, and others, I thought they were spouting B.S. When people realize what Berry and other influencers are talking of, " real whole food that is sold in your local grocery store with no supplementation products to purchase" it is going to change their lives as healthy individuals. I don't eat beef hardly at all just from a cost stand point. I eat mostly venison ( I help manage a ranch on weekends where through permits we harvest over 100 deer per year). What I usually purchase at the HEB is pork loin, chicken liver, gizzards, occasional sausage. I apologize this got long, carnivore since June of 2023
Started in july and ive lost 22 pounds. Asthma gone, gastritis gone, joint pain gone, fatigue gone, vision improved no more glasses anymore.....and I can keep on and on I made a list of 40 things ive seen improve. This is just ridiculous. Carnivore for life❤
Do you actually know you don't have already a blocked artery that the saturated fats are creating more plaque to completely block blood flow in that artery and have a heart attack ? DID you get checked first ?
@@nothingfree3524 no I have not check that. But my cholesterol levels are fine even my doctor said that the actual levels of cholesterol could be a bit high and not to worry. I trully don't care because ive seen a masive improvement in my health.
I’ve dropped 12 lbs in the last 2 months. I’ve kinda stalled out now but I’ve noticed I feel so much better when I do completely carnivore at least 3 days a week and low carb, high fat the other 4 days. I’m down to 156. 5’3”, almost 60 years old.
sounds like me I have dropped 50 pounds I have been staggering between 141 and 145. Can’t seem to get below the 140 so I feel like I’ve stalled too, my height is only 5’1, like you carnivore with some vegetables couple times a week. Just got finished our Canadian Thanksgiving. I did have some potatoes with gravy and a piece of small pie so this week I’m going to start walking the hills downtown on my lunch break hopefully that will kickstart things again. Don’t get me wrong. I feel so much better my joints don’t hurt so even at 142 I’m extremely happy with myself. I’m just gonna keep at it.
Sounds like you are tortured by the drug. After 9 days of carnivore my carb/sugar addiction was gone and I never craved it again. After a cheat day, like a BBQ with sugary sauces, it takes 3 days to get proper again with super power in the muscles again. Good luck.
I'm 57 years old. I started ketovore 2-1/2 years ago. I haven't had a single slice of bread and/or any source of refined carbs, even as small as a piece of hard candy in 2-1/2 years, I know, right? You can't find it hard to believe, but it's true. I was 350 lbs eating almost anything and everything insight. I was on prescription medications for 25 years of my 57 years of age. I'm no longer on prescription meds. I haven't felt this good in 40 years. It's amazing what you can achieve in life by self-discipline and determination.
I've went from 550+lbs and now around 280. Just started carnivore 69 days ago and down nearly 20lbs. I'd love to come and tell my story on your channel!
Great interview. It’s people like Laura that have inspired me to adopt ketovore and because of the change, I am down 50% on heart meds, 10-15pts in Glucose and have lost 80+ pounds. My chronic pain is virtually gone, and was considering additional surgeries to fix hands and back. All these benefits in about a year. Pretty amazing what a proper human diet can do for you!!
Having a Why helps to stay motivated. Don't just watch the scale. Also take measurements and find clothes that you have that are too tight. And remember it's not all about the weight. For me the first thing I noticed was that sleep was a better quality.
@@patcomly180 I agree. And remember that in most cases it took many years to get to that weight so it's going to take a bit of time to get rid of it. Be aware that nuts and cheese can slow weight loss.
Processed foods are high carb and nutrient defficient , that's why carnivore works for people that are fat, like me. Two years carnivore down about 50 lbs . I'm in Texas and there is so much tasty high carb dishes to tempt me ,stay strong and eat the brisket ,skip the tortillas. Also tried broccoli after 1 1/2 years and was miserable. I'll stick to protein and fat ,high energy no gut issues. Thanks to Laura and Ken those were the first videos I saw when I was losing hope, it was eye-opening.
LAURA! Is absolutely realistic and fantastic . She is a realist . This is one of the few people on UA-cam I have heard who gets it when it comes to the carnivore diet . Very honest and real . Very pleasant and easy to listen to. She makes you want to try this and stick to it because once again she is a realist and understands people . Just like you and Nia doctor Berry.

Every time I see your new video is like God bless. I am from Russia, there is no information about this kind of diet. Alot about keto, we have several channels like Dr.Berg translated to Russian language, but nothing about carnivore. The thing is, that me and my family were a few years on keto, but only after getting in to carnivore diet we started to feel all the benefits of the truly correct food. Tons of animal fat - no, because it is meet that missing so much.
I watch so many of his and her videos that I feel 2:41 like i know them. The same with.Dr. Baker, and the other carnivore dr's. I thank them all for informing us. We're lucky and blessed to have them.
I have been carnivore for nearly 4 months and have only lost 10 lbs. I have already seen a lot of healing with my digestive track, joint pain, eye issues, etc. It is discouraging but I have heard others say that if it is taking so long to lose weight it is because your body is way under nourished and your body is absorbing all the nutrients as well as healing itself. I don't know if this is true or not but I am feeling better every single day.
Throw the scale out and learn to listen to your body. The scale is input to your brain, don’t let your brain talk over what your body is already telling you.
Laura Spath and Dr Berry are both HUGE inspirations for me as I traverse this carnivore journey and encounter the occasional challenge and obstacles. Love it!

I think one of my favorite aspects of the carnivore diet is seeing the before and after - and not the weight loss aspect, but how those who go carnivore GLOW. She has such a beautiful smile, and I wonder if it was nearly as noticeable back then. It often seems as tho carnivores begin aging backwards, and she's a prime example of that.
I loooooove salads and veggies. In fact, if I didn't have such terrible health problems eating veggies, I would be so happy being vegetarian. And I was vegan and vegetarian for 20ish years. But after all that, I was hobbling around like an old woman at not even 40 years old, and going to the bathroom was a nightmare. Going carnivore was the best thing I could have ever done for my body, even though I miss my veggies terribly and it makes me so sad that my body can't handle regular food. But I won't stray -- I remember what I felt like before carnivore. I am NOT going back to that if I can help it!!! Thank you, Dr. Berry, for all your amazing work and encouragement. And I also thank Laura for coming into your show and talking about her health journey. But good for you and don't let them feed you all the sugar and flour they can see.
My Grandpa lived to 90 years old, obese and diabetic. I am still amazed that he lived that long. My Grandma was also obese and diabetic. She died within months of my Grandpa and she was 80 years old.
@@naomimay82same for my 94yo grandma, but had been a daily walker til 70 despite all the refined crap she started putting in the last 20-30 years. Her lifespan has just been artificially dragged out by medications the last decades, now is a vegetable just existing. I want no part in that version of aging!
2 years carnivore now. My weight has now stabilized around 200 pounds. 185 is what i dropped to, but I felt bad.
I am 6.3. Yes, i got a belly, but i am happy. I lost 100 pounds. No more meds. I'm 56 and feel better than i did at 35.
Dr. Berry, you changed my life. Thank you, and God bless.❤
Not tracking anything anymore, to me, is almost a bigger benefit than the weight loss and reconquest of my health.
Isn't your diastolic pressure a bit on the low side?
@@CatouMilou I’m a long distance cyclist…my resting heart rate is slower than normal too. I’ve asked my doc who is fine with my WOE and he isn’t concerned.
Will eating pecans be an ave to relapse into eating unhealthy? Do they have any weight gain or stall when you eat them? If not, why wouldn't you enjoy some pecans? @@SunnyDays00
Been carnivore since May 20th. Starting weight 293. I’m 35 yo and going on 9 months postpartum. Down 50 pounds, milk supply is amazing, and my baby boy is thriving! Born with Down Syndrome, yet is keeping up with a typical baby. I think it’s because of this way of life. No going back. Thank you for helping me get my life back. truly a good book, unfortunately it's all about profit, nothing more, nothing less
This person trolls every site for this book.
That was the one tip from listening to Laura I’ve been doing for us, fixing two meats, one as a side dish. Best idea ever.
I always have a mixture. Makes it much easier.
Yes and red meat is so expensive today, you can cut your food bill
I have been carnivore for 4 month. I'm 74 and just had my annual physical/bloodwork done. My NP was absolutely blown away by my bloodwork! She said I'm the healthiest 74 yr old she knows! Only health issue I have is arthritis and that causes less pain since carnivore! Thank you Jesus 💕
PHYSICAL AND BLOOD WORK DON'T TELL YOU IF YOU HAVE A BLOCKED ARTERY THAT IS ALMOST READY TO BE BLOCKED COMPLETE BY THE SATURATED FATS THAT WILL CREATE PLAQUE TO COMPLETE THE BLOCK AND HEART ATTACK ! YOU CAN READ ALL THE POSITIVE COMMENTS BUT WHY NO NEGATIVE ? EVERYONE HAS PLAQUE SOME ARE IN DANGER AND DON'T EVEN KNOW IT TILL HEART ATTACK HAPPENS ! It’s a good interview question too.
First date ice-breaker.
I think a thin person probably takes that question better. Of course I still am overweight, eating carnivore, but I am in a much better mental space than I once was.
😂@@ED-wired
What is the 2 meat meal plan please?
@@kathyclaire1852 I honestly didn't know what else to call it. I always eat "2 meats" ... chicken and pork belly, steak and bacon, thighs and pork tenderloin, etc.

My daughter is 13 and turns 14 in December( also named Laura) and I'm trying to stear her onto this path as well. This path has turned my life (health) around. I wish everyone could feel as good as myself.
@@laurabrock1249 How long have you been eating carnivore ?

What weight are you now if I may ask? I started at 324lb on September 1st. By October 1st that'd reduced to 298lb. I wondered what 2 + years will do.

So glad you both homeschool! The best lifestyle. Thanks for your great dietary inspiration!!
Really loved the conversation regarding kids.
Feeling better is a pretty good start. The weight will adjust itself all in good time.
What other aliments(both solid and liquid) do you consume except meat ?
Throw the scale out and learn to listen to your body. The scale is input to your brain, don’t let your brain talk over what your body is already telling you.

I myself am relatively new to carnivore (almost 6 months in), and I'm learning all kinds of things from others and from my body all the time. Much appreciation!
