My younger (42 y/o) brother was diagnosed on Feb 2024 with stage 2 liver cancer (22 cm); given 9 months to live. he cut all sugar, processed foods, all alcohol, gluten, carbs as much as possible, started exercising; taking soursop leaves tea; 15k IUs of vit D daily, 400mg magnesium daily, lower stress as much as possible; started his chemo therapy....4 months later: 97% reduction of cancer cells...Doctors only comment: "keep doing what you are doing"; He should be in national television!!! He just came back from 2 weeks vacation from Hawaii. It is criminal what the food, medical, and pharmaceutical industry are doing. So many people could be saved. But now all the truth is coming to light. Cheers!

People are quick to dismiss "UA-cam" as a place of learning. While it's true there are some very crazy and wacky channels, there are also very many legitimate doctors and scientists and good podcast platforms like this one where we can learn that "conventional" diets are so processed and carb heavy our bodies just don't know what to do with it. Hand in hand with the pharmaceutical industry, the big companies that control our food and health have profit as the number one priority.

I told my oncologist, much of what causes cancer is what is in the foods we eat. Not just the carbs, sugars but the poisons used as pesticides and fertilizers used. Many of these things are illegal to be used in this country. But what about these chemicals being sold to other countries by the big money making companies.
Are these chemicals in the foods we buy sold back to us? It’s not just the fact many of us eat processed foods, they are being processed with poisonous ingredients being used as well.

His secret: very little simple vegetarian food, runs a few miles every day (even at this age), have no use for industrial chemicals in the form of commercial toothpaste, soaps and pharmaceuticals, drinks raw cow milk (from his own farm). His 99 year old healthy/active wife cooks for him. He is disease-free and active. He lost no hair (they are white but no receding hairline). He was a competitive runner all life who won medals from many international and national races.

My dad got recently diagnosed with cancer. He started noticing different worrying symptoms during the past months, and after running tissue tests they found he indeed had cancer, but in an early stage. He researched very thoroughly about how cancer works and found out it cannot survive easily on ketones, so he started off with several days of fasting, followed with a very strict keto diet. He ate lots of butter, meat and fat, vegetables, but rejected anything containing simple or complex sugars. He lost a lot of muscle mass and fat, but when the next tests runned to determine the treatment, they found no cancer. The doctors were very confused, as these tests are very accurate and cancer doesn't go away just like that, but surprisingly they didn't ask him what he did to cure himself. It did take a toll on his weight and muscle mass, but at what cost? He starved off cancer and now appreciates having the opportunity to live.

I've had a brain tumour for 14 years now, I have lived much longer than the 3 months I was given at diagnosis. I did not get any treatment as I was declared terminal at diagnosis. They don't treat you if your close to death because they don't want you to die under treatment as it causes problems for the treating doctor. I started my journey with calorie reduction, I cut all sugars out of my diet, I am now methionine restricting and eating only once a day. Still here and I believe I'll still be here well into the future.

Breast Cancer Prevention Diet, written by Bob Arnot, is the sentinel book for women who have cancer or wish to reduce their risk. I recommend this book because the advice is easy to follow and backed by 40 years of scientific research. It was first published in the 1980's and the information is still relevant today. Keep in mind that "chemotherapy" was discovered in the 1970's and the patent was filed in 1978. Dr. Barnett Rosenberg discovered that cis-platin reduced cancer tumors in mice, which was not the purpose of that particular study. But he realized what was happening and insisted on clinical trials. Because he had some clout at Michigan State University as the Chairman of the Biophysics Department, MSU finally approved the trials. The resulting data was so good, a pharmaceutical company bought the patent rights. MSU got 85% of the royalties and Dr. Rosenburg got 15%. He split it with his two laboratory researchers. 15% made Dr. Rosenburg a millionaire. I cis-platin's common name is "chemotherapy". It works best on soft or fluid tumors, not so great on hard firm tumors. But at the time, it was the first treatment for cancer and it still works today. Fortunately, there are more cures, including radiation treatment (which saved my mother) and more new drug therapies, along with surgery. Someday, I believe that cancer will be cured by stem-cell therapy. In fact, I belive that all weird diseases and immune disorders will be cured by stem-cell therapy. Until science has conquered all, eat healthy, exercise (walking is great), and try to quit smoking (I know, it's really hard to do). Drink more coffee and green tea and unsweetened soy milk. Add beets and brocolli or cauliflower to your diet, even it you are a KETO person. Buy organic fruit and organic milk. Most of all, enjoy life because every day is a blessing!

You should be in the prime of your life, not fighting for your life! I'm glad you are watching this podcast, and making informed decisions. My advice, don't let the drs put fear into you. Take your health into your own hands and take your life back! I know this is true, SUGAR feeds cancer! The diet they gave my mom was worse than deplorable, and she was so desperate that she did all the chemo even though it wasn't working, and she was suffering just to have one more day to spend with her family even when she was mostly bedridden and weak. He's a Vietnam veteran for instance, but I've never heard him mention it. When he's on podcasts he usually starts very calmly and eloquently, but eventually some of the frustration comes though as he talks about thousands dying every day. He's disgusted by the medical establishment, and it's great to see social media taking him closer to his eventual Nobel prize.

Love Dr. Seyfried. He has been banging on the door for decades to get people to listen and no one has. I was fausely dx'd w/ brain cancer from OHSU when I really had a lesion from a mechanical head injury. After being told I needed a craniotomy (all the way in to my cerebellum and brainstem which in and of itself could have destroyed my life) to dx my so-called cancer, I searched around and found his work. I wrote to him and he responded personally and sent me some of his research and how to treat it by essentially starving it. He really cares. Fortuneately, I never agreed to have the invasive and potentially harmful craniotomy to test for the non-existent cancer. The lesion is still there, 4-5 yrs later, but I am perfectly fine. Glad you're speaking w/ him.

Yeah, especially when the lowest cancer rates are in African countries that consume mostly grain based diets. And the highest cancer rate is for example in Denmark that has really high meat consumption.
It might be that keto diets helps when you already have cancer, but it does not seem like it helps prevent it. We have too much data showing how high meat consumption is linked to cancer.

Cancer is prevalent in rich countries.
And this how set up how its somehow new that cancer is a metabolic disease, when the biggest 2 cancer risk are obesity and smoking. We know that obesity is a huge cancer risk for a long time.
But we also know that high meat intake is a huge cancer risk for several cancer types.

We moved out to the country. We are outside all the time, the air is clean and sweet smelling. We grow food and raise chickens. We get our milk and meat from the farmer down the road. We spend time prioritizing food and making homemade, nutrient-rich meals. The kids learn these recipes alongside me. They crave the smell of the stews cooking while they play outside and couldn’t care less about prepackaged garbage they sell in stores. We are deeply happy and content. No stress. And this is the mindset of all of our friends in our area. Our kids run around with their friends outside, start their own projects, care for animals, and want for nothing. If you want to change your lifestyle, change your setting. Change the people you are surrounded with. Change your mindset on what “success” means for you and your family. Success is a happy, healthy life. And it’s more simple to achieve than what we have been told by the system.

At tad extreme you night say, but I appreciated her message. We ate healthy, non-processed food every day - and Mom even made us run home from school at lunch for a hot, home cooked meal (we 4 kids ate while she read us books like Sounder and Charlotte's Web.) Now 63, and grateful for lifetime of extreme health, having just attempted my 18th Ironman triathlon in the past 20 years and wearing a size 2 uniform to work, I take a pizza slice about once every 7 years and wonder why so many people order it allll the time. Toxic blue light from modern lighting / screens / lights and screens in at night and not enough natural daylight into the eyes and on to our skin has huge metabolic consequences. Thank you Steven for another incredible podcast 🙏🏻

🙏 may Dr Seyfried‘s voice be heard far and wide. I know from my own personal journey with cancer 40 years ago. After nine months of treatment radiation and chemotherapy I was told it hadn’t worked and I should prepare to die within the next couple of months. being in my early 20s it was not what I wanted to hear and found that prospect totally unacceptable to me. I was forced out of my box to look for other possibilities as I realised the toxicity of the treatment was even worse than the disease. It led me onto a lifelong journey, to self responsibility and natural / holistic care, as only nature heals. My life changed beyond recognition and I am so grateful to people like this who are doing the science and pointing the way, giving other options to The allopathic standard which is brutal, mostly unsuccessful, and there’s nothing life-giving in it at all. 🙏

My mother.s treatment ruined her body...ie chemo and radiation. She died of cancers caused by the treatments really. But she was listed as a success story. Because the primary cancer seemed to periodically recede.
She used to glow with health when doing her own thing. She walked everywhere was slim and her skin shone. Her famiky who are all overweight couch potatoes had her diagnozed as mad...and they put her on antipsych meds to boost her weight.

I have changed my diet, cut out sugar and processed foods and now teach other women to do the same without dieting, Death to Diets, they don’t work!
