Was just at my doctor. I’m 70 and have been carnivore since March 10. Lost 52 pounds and feel so much more energetic & alive. I told the doctor I lost the weight after I changed my diet to a proper human diet. He asked what I was eating I replied carnivore. He said “that’s fine as long as you avoid red meat.” It was all I could do not to laugh.

OMG. Some of these doctors are so stupid! I am realizing more and more (because of Dr. Barry‘s information) that their training was funded by Big Pharma, hence they practice exactly as they were taught. Also, so many of them receive generous kickbacks from big Pharma for pushing pharmaceuticals.

      @carriesilvinaespinozavilla5177 День тому +1

@D4rkBl4de I've had the same experience. Suffered with terrible allergies my entire life. I went pure Lion Diet. Ate ONLY rumanant meat. Beef, venison, goat, sheep and salt.only then did my allergies clear. After I stopped all allergy meds and had been on a strict rumanant meat only diet for 90 days I tried adding in ONE food item at a time and watched myself very carefully for the next 10 days. I watched for itchy skin, bloat, rashes, eye itch, runny sinus, swollen sinus, intestinal pain, cough, phlegm, etc. I suddenly realized I had issues with foods that I had never suspected of bothering me. Today I do not take a single allergy med. I can actually walk into my friends house , she has 3 indoor cats, without having an asthma attack. I don't have chronic upper respiratory bacterial infections because my body isn't so aggravated anymore. I adore dairy but the protein in milk bothers me. I can eat fermented cheeses, because the protein has been distorted and I look for very low carb cheeses. I eat other meats now such as pork and seafood and occasionally chicken. I am very careful about what touches my skin and make all my own lotions out of tallow. I don't use commercial softness. I make my own colognes out of high grade alcohol and essential oils, oils that I have carefully tested one st a time on myself. I now have a following of friends who come to me for my creams. Do I still test myself? Yes. I love citrus but if I eat a grapefruit or 6 tangerines a day for a few days I will have a massive allergy attack and terrible inflammation. It takes WEEKS to calm my body down. Now I just recognize the things that aggravate me are just not worth the reaction.

I’m struggling to not be pissed about all the lies I believed for so long. I started weight lifting consistently 3.5 years ago. In the fitness space carbs are life. Also eat more to build muscles. Which looked like me shoveling in 2000+ calories a day 30% being carbs. I’m sad about it. I’m making the changes. It’s not hard as I always leaned towards fat n protein but used things like cottage cheese and fat free yogurts to hit my calories markers. I also COUNTED CALORIES for 3.5 years and it brings me to TEARS because psychologically I was tormenting myself.
I’m 45 days in and Already I’m better !!!! My gut was HORRIBLE before. Explosive poops everyday ! My joints ached. I’m also OFF HRT ! Tears rollin down my face 😢thank you so much Dr. Berry. I’m post menopausal and i wouldn’t Even know it since starting this.

We just covered chemistry in biology(macro molecules) and are working on cells and their functions and structures. It's so obvious what we are supposed to be eating when you look at the cell membrane and the molecules arrangement and structure of the organelles. But these kids and their parents(and grandparents) have been living by the lies for so long, they can't wrap their heads around it....

I used to eat a lot of raw fresh garden salads and salsa. A little over a year ago I had chronic inflammation in my GI system. Long story short I developed an inigual hernia that had to get operated on. After the operation I was always sick after eating to where I couldn't get out of bed on weekends due to GI inflammation. After an endoscopy and colonoscopy I was diagnosed with IBS. I decided to switch to carnivore thanks to your videos right before thanksgiving 2023. A year later I am still doing carnivore. I am not perfect and cheat on sweets once or twice a week. I feel 100 times better than last year mentally and physically. Thanks Dr. Ken Berry! Trying to talk my parents into trying since they are aging and have health issues. They are very stubborn so wish me luck.

You are so right about calorie counting and Weight Watchers. I did Weight Watchers once when young. I did lose 3 lbs. initially, (probably water weight). The next 6 months, I lost nothing at all, and I did not cheat. I weighed and measured everything. Cutting carbs is the only thing that ever worked for me.

A doctor told me #1 and #3, she was concerned that I was eating meat and animal fat. I believed #2 for YEARS! Kept lowering my calories, felt like crap, was hungry all the time, and not losing weight. Never became vegan, but at one time in my life I ate mostly plants. Probably 80% plants 20% meat and I felt weak and was anemic, but I believed #5 and #6. When I was eating mostly plants I also believed #7 and used lots of honey. So 6 out of the 7 of the lies are ones I believed before I found Dr. Berry in March of 2023.

I am currently in a YT comment argument with a cardiologist about saturated fat. He says it is an established scientific fact that saturated fat is bad for us, and I am pointing out that the evidence shows the exact reverse. I have quoted Nina Teicholz The Big Fat Surprise, but he does not want to listen. Quote: “what can a layman or an American journalist teach me (a cardiologist for the past 15 years) teach me about saturated fat?” I think I have to give up because he does not want to question his beliefs. Frustrating. But I fear very common.

I believed several of these at one time or another. At best, I thought the closer to natural, and less processed was best...whole grains, natural sugars, raw veggies. I've been searching for a way to lose weight and get healthy again. I've had some things that worked for a while, but I could never sustain successes. I finally hit a point that I truly felt that if something didn't change, I'd be dead in a year. I found the Galveston Diet. It combined a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. I started feeling better. I was excited about my success and started learning more. I focus on the ketogenic diet and dip now and then into carnivore. Since the first of August, I've lost 30+ pounds and have way more energy. I feel 20 years younger!

I believed all of them, although nothing would have made me go vegetarian or vegan - I loved meat too much. But every time I made an effort to lose weight, I'd follow all these recommendations, including lean chicken breast and non-oily fish as the protein. I didn't really lose more than a couple of kilos until I became too hungry to continue. Started doing keto and it started coming off. And when I stalled on that for those last few kilos, I went carnivore and they came right off. Bonus: I lost my hip pain after a couple of weeks. And it's so much quicker and easier to prepare my meals. And I'm full for longer. Not losing any more weight now but with a BMI of 24 (used to be 33) I'm happy with that and not looking to go down any further. No matter how much I eat on carnivore, I'm not gaining weight. My next project is to increase my muscle strength. I'm 63, so I don't have time to lose.

Always blaming myself for being lazy. Cutting out the carbs and adding enough fat to prevent cravings was like flipping a switch. Easy-peasy weight loss without doing more than moderate exercise. Feeling great. Feeling empowered. Knowledge is power. Thanks Dr. Berry.

I used to beleieve some of these lies, but I need to rewatch, pause, and take notes during the video to give the most honest answer I can.
Commenting it now, will make it easier for me to find the video later. 😉
I also used to believe an additional lie. And that lie was:
    «Red meat makes you fat»
Why? Because I had been told that. Which resultet in me not touching it, and avoiding many foods.
The doctor wrote out drugs for thyroid hormones. Not once did he ask how I was eating.
Luckily I had a grandmother with some healthy sceptisism. So I became worried, and tried to find a different solution.
I didn’t want to be on a drug the rest of my life.
And it was a good thing I did some research. Because over time, that medication puts one’s thyroid out of function.
