I'm about to save a lot of people some hassle...use a dry wall screw or sheet metal screw to remove the O-ring & cross shaped plastic piece. Took me about 10 seconds to do both.
This was the first thing i did on my 15 scat pack. Highly recommend if u can drive a manual. As far as warranty goes... keep ur mouth shut amd they'll never know. Clutch and brakes R only covered 12mo or 12000 miles as its a "wear" part.
How do U drive with rev hang on these newer cars i wanna buy one of these but the 6spd felt weird. When it holds the revs with out me putting on the gas should I just throw it in the next gear anyway?
The reason FCA did this is because it's a dual-disc clutch! Designing everyday streetability into a clutch that's required to hold gobs of torque is tricky. Even with both discs having sprung hubs and marcel, it's not enough.
I have never removed mine, and when I race it, I no lift shift through every gear. Never once, have I had an issue a hesitation or anything. Only "mod" I did was the shift selector cable.
@@bmasontvif you have a sensitive foot, any impingements in the system make wear worse on the clutch plates. Even clutch delay valves aren't the solution for everyone, because if you learn how to feel the car and drive, the delay valves or restrictors cause excess slip. If you are naturally good at matching rpm, those gadgets make it worse. Aggressive driving destroys things, but if you wanna drive smooth you can outperform those ad-ons
K Jonezey it very well might. it can't hurt that's for sure. this is a pointless feature those cars come with. if anything I think it hurts more than helps to have that restriction
Hi B Mason, I have a new Vlog request for the MoparGuy. How to retrofit Your SRT brake ducts parts on 2015+ R/T models. Any chance we get to see the details and parts from your car? thanks. p.s. I wll road track mine this summer....need those OEM upgrades parts.
Hello, So in your opinion, is it worth doing the CDV removal taking into consideration the following factors?: I drive a 5.7l and feel comfortable driving manual. I plan to keep the vehicle for quite some time. Will components like the drivetrain and clutch and other important parts wear prematurely. I don’t track the car as of now. Warranty issues. In other words what is the worst case scenario in doing this mod? I see a lot of positives but there’s always two sides to the story. Thank you very much for your knowledgeable feedback!
I did the clutch delay valve delete and skip shift eliminator to my 2016 Scat Pack. It feels more accurate and normal now. When I power shift to 2nd it hits hard now instead of lagging and grinding. Also while cruising it reacts more linear and the clutch has a smoother feel. Totally worth it! ua-cam.com/video/K5s5ELn2vYc/v-deo.html
I just found out about this I thought my challenger was broken or my shifter was shit when 2nd would just rev and not move till today I said fuck it and 3rd was smooth
When i initially heard about this mod i was committed to removing it once i get my challenger but after hearing that some people got their warranties voided after removing it, and my wife, who's rusty with manuals, wanting to drive it, im not so certain anymore.
Chasin' Cars it will help those who are not as practiced with a manual drive it a bit more easily. As to voiding the warranty. I'm not suprised. (although cars have been around since the dawn of time without restrictions in their clutch lines..... )
Just started looking this up. I thought something was wrong with my clutch as I noticed it was a little slip delay

thanks B Mason! ya make senses now. one thing I have not check yet is if the add those into each models. ...
I should change with name to Hemi mike now...I have the 5.7 2016 Challenger
You mean the slave cylinder. It's not a hydraulic throw out bearing. The throw out bearing is attached to the slave cylinder.
Hyd T/O bearing is an assembly of the Throw out bearing and the slave cylinder that actuates it.

I don't know if the old oh nine that I have has one, I pulled something out of there but it doesn't look like the stuff I'm seeing on the internet
Tahanks for the info. Very helpful
Victor Rodriguez you bet!

Great Vid. !!!
Would this mod help clear up minor grinding going into Reverse ? Thanks!

No down side that I can see. It make the car act more like a normal manual.
Antonio just drive it fool.
My 09 srt8 have it? It sure feels like it
Yes it does, better late then never 😂 (4years later )
Did they resolve this for the 18’s? I’ve had mine for 2 months and haven’t had any issues that some are complaining about.
Flip Andrew I wonder this as well. I got a 17 but only see people do it on the 16. Did you try this on your 18?
I have a 2016 Scat Pack and the clutch pedal catches all the way at the very top I've heard that is pretty much normal is this true ??
Hey Mason, I have a Six Speed. Do you think that its worth it? The Kit....
