5 Years on and this is still by far the best Tool cover to date! @Yann Phayphet, gentlemen, thank you for sharing this with us. For me, this is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard! Thank you! Much Love!
The background of dogs barking and stuff makes this so... intimate. I feel right there with you guys. The harmonies are haunting and evoke exactly the intent of the song. Beautiful!
This video seriously needs a "behind the scenes" follow up. I'd love to see how the engineer managed to pull this off. I mean, I can see the mics, no wind diffuser, and yet there's wind in the background, mics picking the instruments with such clarity... I've paid hundreds of dollars recording in a professional studio, and didn't even get close to this awesomeness! Teach me your ways, senpai!
Not for nothing, if you look at the mics you can see they got pretty beefy wind diffusers built into them. that big gray shape that the one beard is singing into isn't entirely microphone, most of it is foam.
Could be a multitrack studio recording with the ambient street sounds captured seperately and mixed in later. Not docking it in any way....absolutely love this version.
I'm half Indian. I've struggled to get along with pop-Indian culture. But I see snippets of a deeper Indian culture everywhere, especially in Tool. This undercurrent of culture is what I want to get to know. Thank you for showing me a glimpse of what exists outside of just Bollywood.
Most tool songs are hard enough to learn half decently on the electric guitar and to capture the same energy this song gives all on the album live is just mind blowing the sound engineer is a master and this proves that music is a universal language we all understand no matter where in the world you are from.
Okay if someone from every country on Earth records a Tool cover, maybe we'll get an album this year. Aaaaand go. Great job, guys. Fuckin nailed it. Greetings from South Africa.

10,000 Days will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first Tool release I experienced as it happened. Summer of 2006, I was 17 and absorbed all these songs like gospel.
really? I'm not that much into tool.. I mean they have a cult like fanbase, I do love some tracks but not all of their stuff, this song is my fav from them.
How is it underrated? Morons love to parade the "underrated" claim without any real evidence other than their personal exposure to the song. "I haven't heard the song on the radio so it must be underrated." Such a silly claim. Obviously people regard the song highly, evidenced by this very video. Pleas stop making this claim. You look like an idiot.
@jimlovesgina Yea because liking a song is the same as someone doing a cover well. They did a good job, but that doesn't mean everyone has this song in their top five tool songs. A real man and his real masculine account name. Fuck off. Bonus: I've googled Top 10 Tool Songs and the first 3 results I see not one Right in Two making their lists. Hmmm... Makes you think buddy. But second, I love the overwhelming positivity in the comments. 5 Years on and this is still by far the best Tool cover to date!
@Yann Phayphet, gentlemen, thank you for sharing this with us.
For me, this is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard!
Thank you! Much Love!
Difficult to find tool fans here in India, let alone cover one of their songs with such perfection. Kudos guys, you folks have done an amazing job.
Prathmesh Savale hum hai na
Sadly most of the Indians still listen to shitty T-series songs.
6:22 has been giving me shivers for like 2 years straight. Literally my favorite cover of all time period.
Tool being sung in the halls of India.. Completely beautiful!
Halls? Er ... rooftop(s)?
This right here. This is why UA-cam was initially invented.
Teach me your ways, senpai!
one rule ....shit in, shit out....they are awesome....
active noise profile.
@Angry Pent username checks out.
Beautiful!
Tool song - Iron Biden incoming? lol
According to the ads I get a free sammich now because I posted
Make America metal again 🙏😁
I'm half Indian. I've struggled to get along with pop-Indian culture. But I see snippets of a deeper Indian culture everywhere, especially in Tool. This undercurrent of culture is what I want to get to know. Thank you for showing me a glimpse of what exists outside of just Bollywood.
Indian culture is way older and deeper than shitty bollywood or any of the other woods. Travel to India and spend time there. India is vast of course.
the ambient animal sounds just add to this
Brian Lutes Absolutely Dude. 😮
Totally agree!

I didn't know covers could be this good honestly 😭
Most tool songs are hard enough to learn half decently on the electric guitar and to capture the same energy this song gives all on the album live is just mind blowing the sound engineer is a master and this proves that music is a universal language we all understand no matter where in the world you are from.
This has always been my favorite Tool song.
Okay if someone from every country on Earth records a Tool cover, maybe we'll get an album this year. Aaaaand go. Great job, guys. Fuckin nailed it. Greetings from South Africa.
haha hilarious. good comment
Nope, maybe this year
Rhynhardt Krynauw best comment ever 😆😆😆
And actually an awesome idea - project Tool .
Tool is a spiritual band. It's as spiritual for me as listening to Krishna Das or Ram Dass. Tool touches my heart and soul. So proud that this has been recorded in Bangalore. ❤️ You guys are awesome!
When a cover of a song in a totally different style retains the original message in its entirety
Listening to this again after four years (if I'm not mistaken). Right in Two still remains my favourite Tool single and you guys did so much justice to the song. Beautiful cover, brothers.
This cover song is continuously in my set list rotation. It’s a song I never skip, regardless of my mood. I hope you guys are out there reading this still because there can’t be enough praise heaped on you.
HOLY F*CK. WHAT WAS THAT?! IM SPEECHLESS. That was awesome!
10,000 Days will always have a special place in my heart because it's the first Tool release I experienced as it happened. Summer of 2006, I was 17 and absorbed all these songs like gospel.
Still coming back to this performance. Pure! So well done... cheers. Even the dogs (beginning background audio) shut up in awe... :)
This song is one of the more underrated songs of Tool's discography. Such a beautiful track.
Reticulus I agree. One of their best.
Wings of Marie is pretty good too, I prefer songs like these two over a lot of their other stuff
I wonder how many of them I have to click on?
This reminds me of a random night club in Kathmandu that had kids playing Tool in a live show. I was gobsmacked at how awesome and surreal it was.
Love from Manila, The Philippines.
Yes, please do the entire Tool discography.
I seem to circle back to this video about once every year and am still surprised I can only give one thumb up
the original was mindblowing when I first heard it, and this version just added another beautiful layer to it. incredible how you stripped it down, and yet it doesn't lose a shred of its sole purpose.
Amazing guys, hello from Kerala. We need more TOOL in India.

Watching this tonight from a cabin in the mountains, next to a fire, just enough data to connect...
blessed to experience this, thank you. Beautiful.
I'm watching this at 2 am on my deck in Southern Sweden. It's the middle of the winter with just this music to keep me warm sharing what you felt 💖
@@Lammdogg Awesome and thank you for sharing. Their music is universal. This is the best cover.
Tonight I happen to be in a motel room about to leave to go see Tool live. Their first show of the 2022 tour.
Enjoy the rest of your night in beautiful Sweden. 💜
@@emusedone WOOOWHHHHHOOOO! No coincidence we're chatting on a Tool cover video tonight of all nights. I have tickets to the Chicago show and Denmark show this year. I hope you have an amazing night! Spiral Out!

I have passed on this vid for months and months. Now that I've seen it I've decided to build a time machine to go back and correct my historical failure.
Witty sir, a sharp mind, indeed..... um, while your there could you give me a call and tell me not to bet my life savings on the Saints? Tx, appreciate it...…
I'm sure if you explain you met me in the future while watching a video of three Indian dudes on a roof in Bangalore rippin out some A list TOOL cover acoustic and layin' it back down in crystal 5G waves, I'll totally believe you... ✌️ 🤓hehe
3 years ago I commented on this video. I'm back. I always come back to hear this version. Absolutely beautiful and brilliant.
2 years later...I'm back and reading comments....amazing
I love two things about this. First off, I love the music, so excellently and respectfully rendered. The musicians do the original song and performers justice in a way few covers seem to do. But second, I love the overwhelming positivity in the comments. It doesn’t matter how great something is, it seems like all you have to do is post it on UA-cam and there will be somebody waiting to bash it and troll in the comments. Not so here. Everyone is fully and duly appreciative of this, and that is refreshing to see.
You are absolutely right! And all this positivity gives me goosebumps. Maybe this world isn't lost yet...
Man, you said what I was thinking perfectly!
Amen.
That's why Tool fans are the best fans in the world :)
@@sreejiththebeard5706 you are extremely talented. Fantastic.
Come back here every couple months to see magic
Utterly incredible. This is one of the most moving pieces of music I have heard in a long time.
I absolutely agree. I love the vocals especially too!! 🤩🤩
Totally!!!
Absolutely phenomenal performance, stunned. Lost for words. Incredible.
Tool is a band that defies genre and apparently border lines too so happy to see this
Out of all the tool covers this is my absolute favourite. I always find it when i'm feeling dissociated with the world.
My son is 6 months old and this is clearly his favourite song. It’s the only thing that will calm him down from a proper meltdown.
i lived 5 years in lima and my son (4-9) and my daughter (2-7) listened only that sort of music there too... and they still do... no reggeaton, salsa, merengue or whatever else my peruvian wife listen... and that makes her crazy...^^
My question is why they hear that???
Their reasons aren't enough justified
Psdta: I don't know if I already have done a grammar mistake
Kid is clearly a intellectual that this world is waiting for
I’m not gonna lie, I love the original. But your version brought me to tears.
Easily the best cover I've ever heard! Maynard would be blown away!
C DL It’s truly amazing...but no he wouldn’t.
Great cover but yes hardly anything at all impress Maynard these days :P
Maynard?? What about Adam?? I think Adam would be giving this two big thumbs up.
@@OneHippiesMusings Which would be a better use of thumbs...
I prefer this to Maynard's
Tool music is universal...Big up to all metal lovers in India! 🤘
I am a true TOOL phanatic.....have seen them 8 times now on the NE coast of the USA.....A band that has literally landscaped my life.......I know this a few years old but I have been fiending Tool since F.I. came out in August and I just saw them in Nov of 2019 in ACNJ, But Gentleman....This cover is absolutely stunning, thank you, thank you, thank you....well done!
This cover opened my third eye
You from Philly?
5:30 min mark that was beautifully done. Almost had me in tears. Namaste Salam whatever. Right in two brothers
I had to take my headphones off to hear whether the dog was mine or in the video. Unique cover... I like it!
These guys deserve an award.
I have listened to this soooo many times over the last couple of years and it’s still my absolute favorite cover of a tool song of all time. You captured their essence acoustically which is a lot harder than it looks. Y’all are amazing 🙌🏼 and PERFECTLY mixed on a rooftop..... incredible
That vocal harmony! wow guys, amazing cover
Gotta love the bass player's facial expressions, like he's hearing and playing the simple most nastiest riff there has ever written. This is an amazing cover. I'm coming all the time back to black listening this. Love this interpretation.
heard this years ago. the algorithm brought me back. Saved for a monthly blessing. Thank you for your medicine 🙏
The fact that this is recorded live in one of the busiest cities in the world is mind boggling - Amazing
Whats even more impressive is if the camera pans down a little you would see that they're all floating in mid air
I can't stop coming back to this. Pure magic
The dogs barking behind the scenes is just perfect ambience for the song... Giving imersion in the lyrics as a result from "not cutting it all right in two, and now we came to this scenario" after the creation. Gorgeous
It also plays into the whole theme of humanity being a bunch of greedy bastards and the monkeys killing monkeys over pieces of the ground
I was too blown away by that 😮😮😊
