New game I'm making, along with Osiol/Slashgoat who is the concept artist/ art lead! Coming sometime late next year (probably(?)). This segment here is just our WIP tutorial level.
Man, this project looks awesome! The level design was the thing I liked the most, bc it's easy to understand where to go and easy to see the enemies. Waiting for the release!!!
Love how this game looks, an aspect I want to gloat about is the music, the tracks in here are real good! The sound effects of shooting and picking up collectibles is very catchy as well, keep up the awesome work!
I'd probably make a larger texture for the canyon walls and mesas in the skybox since the current one is looking a bit repetitive, other then that this is phenomenal! you've progressed so much with this engine since Shrine and Vomitorium!
the game looks great, there should be an aura around the bullets to make them more obvious so dodging is easier, also i saw a sort of lacking of a possible a "shield" move for reflecting attacks, not that the game needs it, but with all the bullets being single damaging projectiles that move towards the character it sort of seems like an easy tack-on
Did ol LD do the environmental concepts too? Always loved the creatures and tech coming out of that pencil. Stellar looking project, and taking some music inspiration from KF projects' music is rockin' too.
is there any possibility of having the walking sound turned off? or perhaps just having an option, that sound for me is chafing against the awesome atmosphere of the environment.
I was hoping you'd return to 3D games one of these days. I'm really digging the art direction, reminds me a lot of the Quake 2 days. Are you still working with zdoom or have you moved on to something else?
Really nice job Scum, still remember the Doom.wad days, you're come a long way. Digging the music a lot, very early-FromSoft. How long did it take for you to learn all you know now, out of curiosity.

Healing with pocket fumo is the most awesome thing I saw in recent shooters.
Basically this fumo is the good twin of evil voodoo doll from Blood.
