That opening sequence upon hitting the beach is insane. The entire moon shatters, giant demon-birds that roar loud enough to shake the world, and an angel for good measure. Sound effects were on-point.
Wasn't expecting a giant demonic but friendly blacksmith girl. I feel like the pacing in the beginning is a bit quick, you meet quite the cast of characters and get lots of upgrades pretty early. But I really love the mecha HR Giger aesthetic.
The Scyth dude plays a Hurdy Gurdy. That is awesome. Shame the dev didnt kind of mimic one in the music. This game is so unique. I am going to have to go back an look into the other works. Oh. An thumbs up for Milly.

02:30 is rather funny between the sheer obliteration that should be "realistically" caused both by a moon being destroyed and then the ludicrous speed of the descent *and* landing of Deus-Vain right next to the player character. The realism of 11:55 with the Soldier's little freaked out reaction to the surprise first use of the radio by Natya is still far funnier though.

This game has really great sound design, with the glaring exception of the grating overlapping footstep sound. It's made even more obvious by the lack of any real background music.
Be real. Kalameet is pretty cosmic horror. Psychokinetic flying psuedo reptile that is definitely smart enough to communicate but just refuses to give you more of its time than what it takes to make cinders of you. Might as well be be soaring between planets.
Even before the games is fully out, Natya is best girl 💀. Also felt bad for charlie... The art is really cool and Im into platformer shooter games like this. Might pick it up later
The sound design is so amazing. Feels very unsettling, gritty and similar to old 80's or 90's games, something modern photorealistic apocalyptic horror can't scratch.

This seems like BLASPHEMOUS but actually bonkers and I am here for it. Michael Bay WISHES his movies had the oomph that intro sequence has!! I think the Angel's sprite looks amateurish/toony next to the dragon's sprite and I agree with other commenters here that the animations could be better...but still. I am INTRIGUED!
Loved this game more than I thought I would (usually don't like this style for some personal taste reasons), and your gameplay was awesome to see as usual! I'm sure many agree that you're one of the best no commentary let's players around! You probably get comments like this a nauseating amount, but seriously loving these new little animation additions too! Huge props to you, the game creator, and if someone else is creating/helping to create those fun animations!!
The machine gunners were assholes. Everybody on the beach was dead and they still kept firing. That is the best latter animation I have ever seen. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.

There should be more creepy 2D video games. I love this genre. Someone should create a 2D Hellraiser video game where the main character plays with the puzzle box and is dragged into Leviathan's hell, the maze where the cenobite reside and you have to re-find the puzzle box so you can get out of hell. The cenobites could be like the bosses at the end of a section of the maze and stuff.
So I may be stupid, the whole time I was thinking “this must be inspired by vomitoreum, it must be.” And I go over to dev’s channel and I see they made vomitoreum.
Frankly I feel like the best criticism a game can have is that it is too short. What is here is really, really good, but at the same time it leaves me wanting more (especially with how it ends.) Really hope there's a continuation to it of some kind in the future, either as an update, DLC, or an outright sequel.
I was truly invested into watching this game, only for it to be a demo. It reminds me of classic Metroid so much where we don't know who the protagonist exactly is, but they are capable of doing so much and their identity is thoroughly hidden.
I love these characters so much. I wanna comfort Charlie, Milly's precious, and Nat's literally me. They're all gonna meet horrible fates when I play this, won't they?
This game is... Weirdly charming. A mechanical virus in a Metroidvania with some Deadspace inspiration and I'm sure a mix of other stuff I'm not familar with has made something quite strange but endearing imo, that's really the best way I can describe it. The whole time I'll admit I was confused but it was still fun to watch- except the flesh wall area, few things creep me out or make me uncomfortable and that's one of them, just how wrong and unnerving that area is really fits into the horror genre quite well. Characters are all likeable as well, though the player character has some janky animation, especially with climbing ladders lol. I'll allow that though, though it's unfortunate that things clearly got triggered outta order so the ending is a bit hard to follow, as if the names of stuff and world lore wasn't already confusing. I will say though that I wasn't entirely a fan of the player character's walk animation because he kinda just seems to be barely shambling along, but I suppose that actually makes sense with the ending of the video, even though that seems like it was supposed to be more around the middle if things hadn't gotten a bit messed up, guy kinda actually was hardly alive by the looks of things so they must be built different or something ^^' Overall enjoyed watching this and thank the algorithm for this view because I didn't know this channel existed a week ago and dude, what is with your intros? Never change lmao, I hate that you made me laugh at your dumb jokes >:)

And the demon was killed, so you unlock that. But then you kinda also just unlock the angel part too? what did I miss, I'm confused a little bit.
Same. Definitely doesn't seem like we saw everything. They're talking about a prosthetic but I didn't see any limb being lost. I didn't see an angel being killed. And what's this about Deus Vain being dead!?
Hi! Yeah that's a little confusing. Apparently I encountered a bug which gave me the angel abilities early. You're meant to get them after you've been killed and carried back by the angel (right at the end of my video). The bug has been patched now though, it shouldn't happen in the full game. :)

People are saying Giger in comments but I'm getting more of a 80s/early90s anime vibe, the ultraviolent biomechanical stuff with a dash of Angel's Egg thrown in. Also I love how you're programmed at this point, like so many that play these kind of games, to avoid contact with any falling water drops.
I feel like everything is normal metroidvania mechanics, except that "The lower the health, the more aggresive the enemies become" that feels and sounds cool
The gameplay looks fantastic and I'm always excited for a metroidvania. The writing is kind of cringe. I don't appreciate the lore dump and the lack of "show don't tell" method of writing here. I hope it gets better. Still, excited for it. I know it has great potential.

Yeah, I think that's part of the same bug. You're supposed to get that conversation after you've killed the dragon.

I see a lot of Darkseed inspiration here, which uses Giger's art. Also some strong influence from Ecco the Dolphin.
