Did you taste Glen Scotia 1832 ?

Another great episode chaps. I am probably one of those heathens that has a view on Irish whiskey tasting experience being within a finite window, shall we say. I have a few Irish whiskies including BM16 which is fair to middling. I struggle with the lower abv and value for money with Bushmills and do think Irish Whiskeyin general tends to be more expensive. There are some gooduns out there though and should by no means be dismissed - it's not all about Scotch single malt!

indeed a really good one. Janice is a great ambassador for bushmills. The causeway collection is interesting. And indeed more information on casks would be great.

How convenient we have a double Moscato bushmills coming up for the whisky club!!! Def a sucker for Bushmills its just delcious and they have some cool cask finishes!!! Slainte

The 16 is definitely a wonderful dram unfortunately in the states where I am at it’s now $150 a bottle…its lost it’s way at that price point

Awesome episode my lads, and great to see unyielding enthusiasm from Janice. The Whisky Club in Australia had some exclusive burgundy cask Bushmills that I passed up, I'm sure regretting that now as it seems like a cool distillery. Will need to pick up some bottles 👌🏻 I'd like to see some more Irish orientated episodes, maybe focusing on Spot or Redbreast releases, and perhaps the history of how Irish Whiskeys came to be? 😮

Love the episode guys the Glen farclas 21 year old cask strength for local store in my town is fantastic so much better than the regular 21 and you said nothing wrong with it. Just not anything special. And also as far as 21-year-olds go the dewars dd 21year Mizunara oak also even though it’s a blend is pretty spectacular in my opinion

Never tried dalmore. The vintage is now 155 online retailers... its just too rich for one whisky. I bought nearly 3 bottles for that price.

Last night I was enjoying a Bunna 18 and I thought I’d watch this episode again. What a dreamy dram. Then came your Moine suggestion of pairing with honey. I just happen to own 2 hives so honey is plentiful. Unfortunately I didn’t have any Moine but I did have a Smokey Bunna Toiteach a Dha. What an eye opener of a pairing. Thanks gents for that suggestion.

Great podcast- Regarding the 15, I’ve just finished working on the Glengoyne stand at WhiskyHerbst in Berlin, and I can confirm that cases of Glengoyne 15 were bought, balance between light and bright and Sherry 🥃👍

One of the nicest guys in whisky Ian. Im A Big fan of the Glencadam spirit. I think the 10 is a great gateway whisky & A easy sipper summer time dram. The 15 is A couple leagues above tho It’s excellent imo & the new white port is a super clean fruit bomb. A Lovely drop. Top draw show fellas. Slainte. 🥃

Even though I have never tried Glengoyne, and like being surprised I am excited I am going next Thursday. To share a new experience with a whole crew of friends before my wedding, this video has made me even MORE stoked to get there! Thanks boys, if you see this comment, could you let me know if there is there a shop in Edinburgh or Glasgow I can pick up a bottle or even try a dram from The Whisky Baron? Slainte!

Ive had the pleasure to sit a couple times with the 25 and it’s been lovely…definitely a top tier experience for me! Ive also had the Teapot batch 7 if i remember correctly…another banger!!! Unfortunately in the states Teapot bottles are unicorns. The 10&12 dont excite at all and the 15 here at Total Wine is $89.99 🤦🏻…. I had a chance to ship the 18 across the pond back in 2022 for about $110 and it was fairly decent for that price but still a little flat 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love the Teapot Dram and bought last year’s myself, but I’d struggle for Oosh at that price. It is 140 gbp for about a 9 year old cask strength. If it was 20-30 less I’d agree. The white oak is almost a third of the price at the same age. The ABV and sherry has a premium, but there is a lot of markup for that story.

An excellent episode, haven’t had nothing from GG since the rebranding but I loved the older 15,18 and the CS bottling’s but that white oak is looking like a buy. Slàinte to all four of you.

I'm about to have a flight tasting - white oak, 12, 15, CS & 21. Love the distillery and have finished off an old bottle of the 15 with one in the stash. The teapot dram, distillery exclusives and other distillery specials are always good. Must return next time I'm in Glasgow. Slainte guys.

You need to do a Tamdhu tasting . I've been around 4-5 years in the world of whisky especially into the world of (oloroso) sherry casks. And i clearly have to say that Tamdhu provides the best products in this section. I would suggest you to try the 15, 18 Batch Strenght 007, Querus Alba Distinction II and if possible a special release.

Lovely to see the honesty & how open these two Gents are about their Product. Correct in NAS products having a name. Kilchoman Sanaig a perfect example. These vlogs are so informative for whisky lovers.

I believe the distillery was called Ledaig and changed its name to Tobermory.
