I have to say I really enjoyed the Colin Dunn monolgue - thats the quietest I've ever known Jake - EVER!!!!!
What an absolute geezer. I could sit and listen to Colin for days. Such a natural entertainer, warm, funny and what a knowledge of people, places and stories. A talking walking encyclopedia of history.
Possibly the best pod yet. Even allowing for the questionable shirts 🙂
What shirts? It’s just us listening to Colin 😂
Brilliant episode! Like a fireside chat with the most relaxed and enthusiastic storyteller ☺️🥃☺️
Smashing, just smashing.
Old mate can certainly spin a yarn. Very knowledgeable and his passion for whisky is second to none!!
Probably my favourite episode of your podcast. Incredible whiskies, Beguiling characters, and legendary stories. Unreal!

Uncut & Unfiltered = PASSION
That Talisker on the beach story is absolute gold, and I know I would’ve fell for it hook, line and sinker had I been there. I hadn’t heard of Colin until this podcast but what a guy, a great ambassador for whisky as a whole.
Top class! Feel free to invite me next time 😊
What a phenomenal episode! Colin was brilliant and could sit and listen to him for hours! Good job lads! Loved the wee Glenkinchie shout out too! haha
What a gent Colin is, you lads are getting to meet some really interesting people. Also I love how you are always on your best behaviour when you have a grown up on!
Hi gents. Thank you very much for such a great episode! Do you like the stories? Here is the my one - 24/09/2020 my brother and I were at Lagavulin distillery warehouse tour lead by Iain McArthur, we're tasted a lot of expressions straight from the casks including 20, 21, and 23 years old. And 20 y.o. was fantastic. Luckily it was available at their self to buy, and I've bought it for myself as part of my birthday present. And I've asked Iain McArthur to sign it for me and he did it without a delay. I'm really glad I'm having it in my bar, and once bottle will be opened and emptied I'll keep it for a good memory! Thank you mr. Colin to remind me that story.
Brilliant episode , yous really are smashing it out the park with guests , Colin is a master storyteller for sure .

Fantastic stuff and good to hear Colin hold court once again. That could easily have been a 5 hour episode.
This was an amazing episode! Maybe my favorite one so far.
More guests like Colin, please!
What a legend. No more to be said. Cheers for the brilliant content.
Such an amazing episode guys! Thanks ❤
Gents, thanks for this great episode! Top story time and things to learn from Colin
Wonderful episode. Colin is a true gem and a class act. I have always enjoyed chatting with him at shows and his stories are legendary. Thanks for bringing us top notch content guys - cheers!
Excellent episode, Slàinte Gents.🥃👍
Loved his “sermon”, stories, and other quotes. Was there a prize for those shirts at the festival? 😂
Just prized shirts 😂
Absolute knowledge
Wow, what an honour and a privilege to have Colin on. An amazing & massive wealth of knowledge, and a great selection of malts (that Whisky Sponge 🧽 looks so good).
Besides the Last Drop episode, this is probably the only time where you fellas have been a bit quiet 😉😁 For good reason though.
Maybe it would be cool for you guys to do a Whisky Sponge/Decadent Drinks episode (and maybe have Angus on)? We actually get a great selection of Whisky Sponges down under at semi decent pricing (through The Whisky List), so I'm a fan, but the pricing can be a bit much sometimes (which can't be helped when you're a new ish IB distributing your range all over the world). Cheers 🍻
We would definitely have Angus on ❤
@@IanBear1000 Wheeeew! Hopefully something can be organised 😁
Another great episode. Not sure what the dress code was supposed to be 😎. You’re knocking it out the park with your guests at the minute. Colin has so many stories and so much information you could just sit and listen for hours. And he kept Jake quiet. Nobody does that. 🤣. Setting the bar high. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
Jake, what'd you think of the Balcones single malt? I've tried that one and their Brimstone and Pot still and kinda like you said, they're just like any bourbon. You didn't give any other notes and a buy/don't buy here (this great session wasn't the time and place for it) so I'm curious:
A couple weeks ago you mentioned in a reply that you didn't like the corn in bourbon. As I've never had a pure corn spirit I can't pick out the corn but I do have issues with the combination of virgin oak and South USA's climate which is such a huge part of virtually all of bourbon. As this one didn't have any corn spirit in it, how does it rate for you? For me it's "just bourbon and a bit sour/astringent"
Thanks for this video! Colin Dunn is an amazing speaker!
